Are there any other committees you'd be willing to be on, Weiss, such as Labor? I ask because you're the FL of the Chiss. While the Chiss aren't, strictly speaking, an enemy faction, we all know what the current situation is and I'd rather not see you presented with any conflicts of interest.
That said, Empress Teta is yours since you had it during the previous Congress.
By the way, who is the Congressional representative to the Jedi Council?
That mindset (Reps being able to dictate what a planet or system does/allows/etc.) is what put Congress under last time it was in place. The Representative of a system is just that; a representative of the people's of the system. They have no real power of what happens on the system. Of course they have plenty of influence, but simply because they say something doesn't mean it's going to be done in the system they're representing. Their focus is on galactic affairs and the good of their system within the Alliance and within the galaxy as a whole. Overall, their role is to make the Alliance stronger and, thus, the system they represent. I hardly think they're going to worry much about bands of criminals unless it was really bad. Even then, they would only bring it up if it was an issue on other planets/in other systems.
