I was just thinking it would be fun to RP a Defense Allocations Committee, or an Intelligence Committee, and thereby feel like you were having an affect on the war effort
Personally this should wait. I think everyone needs to come up with all that they will be asking of the Senate. And something as serious the Senate is just not something we can charge into over any matter.

I think the MSN is meant to make the atmosphere more fast-paced and Senate like... Anyway; won't it be posted here after anyway? :CHappy
I'd really prefer it if you guys didn't RP on MSN, at least not for the purposes of the SWRP Story. RPing for this site should be done on this site.
RPing by MSN is tacky and only leads to bad writing.
It's a fair point, but I assume that everyone involved will try to hold a certain kind of class in their grammar and staying IC with their style of writing. If it's allowed and doesn't work out very well, we can always scrap it and restart in the actually thread and post it out. However, I would appreciate if the idea would be considered as it would provide a fast-paced environment that allows everyone to be able to give their input at any given time (in an appropriate manner)
How about this. We all go in something of an order. Make schedules for that Senate to deal with a problem ONE at a time. Obviously people do not bombard themselves inside and begin shouting "I DEMAND THIS AND THAT!" They would have to schedule these things in IC terms anyways.
ME said:I see where Fauz is coming from by saying that the topic might move on and someone might miss out. What that ultimately comes down to is the person who chairs Senate meetings - aka. the Supreme Chancellor. If they're going to RP like a Senate, using parliamentary procedure, then the topic moves on when the chair says that the topic moves on. Hakim could give a reasonable amount of time for everyone to post, and if you don't post in that reasonable amount of time then, well, tough.
That's how the real world works: there's a motion to approve something, someone seconds it, the chair allows for the discussion, and then the chair closes the discussion for a vote. If you missed the discussion, that's your problem. You're either there or you're not, and you're either speaking or your not.
On that note, Senate meetings should be announced in advance.

I like that idea. If MSN group chat won't be permitted, I think that an allocated amount of time to post before a topic is deemed closed sounds very fair. I'm glad that the idea was considered and brought up within the administration, and I'm glad a compromise could be made by allowing enough time for everyone to post on what they have to say. Thanks guys =)
That was just my post in our discussion, not the final word. Only a few admins have chimed in so a decision hasn't been made.
