The three winged TIE Defender flew over the Garel sky. The rocky world was known for more than being a trade hub or waystation in the outer rim. They had a history with criminal underworld making it a nest for the illegal and immoral. As a padawan Byron had conducted a deal on Lothal just a jump and skip away to earn a Gozanti bulk cruiser for the Jedi Order. It had been years since then but the planet probably still looked the same. This was however, the first time the man had set foot on Garel.

The plateau like formations seemed more like clouds given stony form more than naturally occurring landmarks. The view in front of him was a spectacularly one with hues of purple and violet as the night set in. Alone, the Jedi Knight would bank the ship around before landing it in a private hangar. Hopping out of the Triskele, the bearded Knight was not wearing his normal flight suit. Instead he had on a simple attire in the form of a dark jacket, black long-sleeved T-shirt and trousers with boots to match. On either arm, hidden underneath the sleeves of his jacket are a pair of Matukai gauntlets. Byron did not need to scream he was a Jedi, not that he normally appeared like one anyways. With a blaster pistol on his hip and a carbine slung across his back added to the identity he was another traveler passing through and not to be bothered.

"This is a far cry from what I saw..." He muttered to himself which was followed by a shoulder dropping sigh. But the numerous impacts and craters made him wondered if they were caused by meteors. The vision of destruction he had seen and felt still had him wondering its meaning. Ruminating on this had pulled him to look through his history, the Jedi's history for answers. Dathomir was a name that rang a bell but the man wasn't suicidal. There were other leads that were less likely to lead to his swift death by Nightsister or Sith.

The draw of a smuggling ring around the Lothal Sector in connection with Black Sun was operating out of Garel or at least had a stopping point somewhere nearby. It would take a bit of investigating but the man extended his reach into the Force. Taking in his surroundings he would trod his way down the streets of the city to not draw attention. Using more than just his eyes and ears, the Force would return helping him find what drew him here.

Cramped in a cargo hold wasn't Mikko's ideal trip. Despite the short travel time, the young Jedi Knight started to feel the shuttle's metal walls closing in around him. He kept himself distracted with the holoprojector on his palm, turning it over and over. It didn't help that he couldn't see how far they were from the destination. He could sense the ship's movements if he tried, but instead chose to tear his mind off the journey.

Focus on why you're here. From his palm, a small projection glowed against his face. Mikko stared at the floating image of a DX-2 disruptor pistol. As he clicked on the device, different designs appeared. Some seemed way too old-fashioned, but other than the first, none were anything he'd ever seen. The images were given to him by a couple of Rodian technicians on Lothal, before they pointed him to Garel. Unprepared for the side trip, Mikko had to sit with the cargo if he didn't want to wait another day to leave.

When the shuttle safely landed in Garel City, he immediately went on his way to be greeted by a dark purple sky. Gloomy, but beautiful. It was a nice change of view from his isolated corner in the ship, at least. However, his little moment to admire the sights was interrupted by a realization that the none of the nearby buildings looked familiar.

"Hang on, this isn't the City Spaceport." The look of confusion on his face got a low chuckle out of a Lothalian, the final passenger to come down from the same shuttle before he was left alone. With an exhale Mikko went on his way, basking in the cool air, his green traveling poncho flapping away over his standard Jedi robes. As he walked, he used the time to ease his mind and observe his surroundings. He followed the direction that felt right, at least until he finds a good place to ask.

So far the trip to Garel was uneventful. Ephiny was visiting Lothal, seeking to catalog new information about this planet for the Jedi Archives in Yavin IV. While there she felt something in the Force and decided to meditate to understand it.

While meditating, she had a brief vision of the nearby planet of Garel. Deciding to investigate, the Jedi Knight took the first transport that she could find. During the trip, Ephiny was reviewing the information that she collected so far in her Datapad. Much of the Jedi Archives were lost when Ajan Kloss was conquered by the Sith. Since then she has dedicated herself to the mission of restoring the Archives to its original glory.

After the ship landed in the spaceport of Garel City, the Jedi left it with the other passengers. She noticed Garel's tall, wind-carved sedimentary rock formations in the distance and decided to register it in her Datapad. "The Archives are right, it's really an impressive sight." the knight said to herself. After that, Ephiny walked to the main building of the spaceport. Trying to not draw attention, she was wearing a simple long coat, which was hiding her Jedi robes.

Now that she arrived on the planet, Ephiny needed to discover why the Force guided her there. The Jedi closed her eyes and concentrated, waiting for it to show where she needed to go. After a path appeared in her mind, she opened her eyes and started to walk in this direction.

A tipsy drunk stumbled his way down the street. Slipping suddenly he staggered Byron before the Jedi managed to catch himself. The stranger fell to the ground with a heavy 'uuf' sound followed by a ground and a curse. "Karkin- wherezit go?.." Getting to their feet the drunk picked up a bottle dropped in the accidental bump in. "...good thing too or I'd have to go back." The lush took a sip and staggered further down the street and out of sight.

"You alright?" The Knight asked the drunk and he nodded sluggishly. "Aye. Ohl Zerky. Zerky ol pal." Byron's brow furrowed as the drunk continued to think he was his friend 'Zerk' or 'Zerky'. "We goin to the next *hic* place'rwat?" A pause hung in the air as he looked up and down the street for a moment and then shrugged. "Lead the way bud."

The better part of an hour following the drunk to a bar only to be turned away by the cantina's security. Despite this, he still followed the drunk to a second location. A part of him felt like the drunk was going to get hurt if he didn't look out for him.

Sure enough, a block away from the cantina appeared a trandoshan on the left carrying a sonic rifle. On the other side of the street ahead of the drunk was a female Nikto wearing a cold and black headband and carrying an electroripper staff. As she stepped out he could see she had two droid arms sprouting from either side of her shoulder revealing light blaster pistols.

He reached out into the Force knowing danger was clear. But these weren't common criminals rolling drunks. They were bounty hunters or mercenaries with that kind of equipment. It was at this thought that the drunk stranger stopped, realizing the dangers and looking behind him.

The sound of two pairs of feet behind the Jedi Knight told him there was more there. This had turned out to be a full ambush. It was better than waiting for the inevitable. The only problem now is he only had an idea of about half the enemies he was up against.

Turning around he brought his lightsaber into his grip. The act of pulling his blade to his hand earn the appendage a blaster bolt squar at the back of his palm. The lightsaber hilt went skittering to the side of the Garel street. The Knight's hand was protected thankfully by the matukai gauntlets underneath but now he was without a way to return blaster shots. Seeing who had shot him was a pair of attractive rodian twins. However they each sported bowcasters in their arms and had ponchos made of wookiee pelts covering their shoulders. There may still be a bounty out on Jedi, or one of many other reasons they could be after him. Maybe it was just as simple as opportunity to earn some credits on a lightsaber hilt. For now, the Knight feigned an injured arm and didn't draw his custom side arm or make any other aggressive move. Not, yet. He needed them to get closer. "Bad day to visit Garel, Jedi." The nikto said with the buzz of its staff getting closer.

It had been a few minutes of walking among the cluster of mostly-gray buildings until Mikko passed a general store. There he restocked the food rations on his belt, taking enough care not to give the locals a glimpse of the silver lightsaber hilt along with the rest of his gear. The local behind the counter gave him detailed directions to Garel City Spaceport, which was what he wanted to check out first. Admittedly, he wasn't completely sure what he'd do once he gets there — or what he needs to find. With no leads besides the images given to him, he'll be lucky to notice any suspicious activity in the spaceport.

He was oblivious to the presence of other Jedi in the city, especially since he initially never intended to pass by here. But he paused as he neared his destination when he saw a figure in a long coat, walking away from the direction of the spaceport. The female was unmistakable once she was close enough to recognize. It was peculiar to find Ephiny Daivand now on a random path in the Outer Rim. The galaxy was so vast, that he decided it was no coincidence. Whatever had drawn his fellow Jedi here might help him with his own search. After a short pause, he began approaching.

Before he could reach her, a high-pitched noise yanked his attention to his left. A blaster shot. Based on the sound, it came from a couple streets over. There were no follow-up shots that he could hear. Assuming that Ephiny heard the same noise, he eyed her, reducing his greeting into a jerk of his head towards the left. He went that direction instead, until he arrived at an alley that connected the wider streets. There were crates of fruit sitting at the steps of the building beside him but no one tending to them. In fact the area had been emptied except for the six figures, four of whom seemed ready to strike. From the buildings, eyes watched through partially closed blinds.

"Bad day to visit Garel, Jedi." While Mikko couldn't get a good look at the two beings at the center, he focused where the Jedi apparently stood. Through the Force, he would see better what he needed to see. Feelings of panic, confusion — but it wasn't from the unknown Jedi despite them being seemingly outnumbered. He targeted the Rodian twins with his gaze as they aimed bowcasters at the Knight's back. They were at the far end from Mikko, but he could render them harmless for a few seconds if he moved fast enough.

If Ephiny had followed him to the alley, he would turn to whisper a rough plan to her.
"What a place to see each other again. Oh well..." He pointed a finger at the Rodians. "I think I can disarm them. But that one -" he pointed to the Trandoshan next, " - would easily shoot me down. Unless you get him first."

As the Nikto stepped closer to her target, he sped from the alley, kicking an empty crate on his path straight to the Trandoshan's head to distract him from instantly aiming at Mikko — who was now sprinting for the Rodian twins. The element of surprise gave an advantage against the perplexed attackers but it would only buy him a few good seconds, not even enough time to see who the other Jedi was. His pace inevitably slowed as he extended a hand and focused on pulling their weapons with the Force. The Rodian to the left would feel a tug on his bowcaster before it was yanked aside. The weapon flew from his grip to the other's head, with enough force to knock him down on his back, before it slid along the street.

"Awful way to welcome visitors," he muttered as he prepared to pull the hilt from his belt.

Ephiny was walking through the street following the path that the Force showed her, when she heard the sound of a blaster shot. The Jedi turned to the direction from where the sound came and saw Jedi Knight Mikko Falco jerking his head towards the same direction, then he ran. Deciding to help, she followed him.

While she ran after the other Jedi, they went through an alley. The Archivist could hear voices coming from ahead, she couldn't understand everything, but she heard the word "Jedi". Ephiny was surprised, what were the chances of three Jedi meeting on a distant planet like Garel?

They arrived at an alley that connected the wider streets. Ephiny saw a Jedi surrounded by four individuals, a female Nikto, a Trandroshan and two Rodians that seemed to be twins. By the way that the group was dressed, the Archivist supposed that they were Bounty Hunters.

She heard Falco greet her "It's good to see you too." she said in return. Then him whispered to her a half-baked plan to help their fellow Jedi, who Ephiny wasn't able to identify so far. She preferred to have a better plan "Fine. I'll take the Trandroshan." the Archivist whispered to him.

She saw Mikko kicking an empty crate in the Trandoshan's head and then sprint for the Rodian twin. Taking advantage that they were distracted, Ephiny ran in the direction of the Trandoshan. She used the Force to pull their sonic rifle in her direction, then the Archivist activated her lightsaber and used it to cut the weapon in half. "What do you expect of Bounty Hunters?" she said to Falco, while she adopted a defensive position.

A single breath. His instinct told him to take a deep steadying inhalation. He was outnumbered severely. This was going to be a hard situation to get out of. Summoning the power to move faster than a normal person, focusing the energy through his legs the Knight burst from his spot towards the electro-ripper wielding bounty hunter.

Two shots from each of the nikto light blaster arm missed Byron as he moved in a fast zig zag pattern. The knight knew he could defend against the single attacker head on with just his gauntlets but the fact he had more than that surrounding him had him moving evasively. A second set of shots followed the first burst and they missed the Knight like the ones before.

The Knights expression was one of focus and aggression. The mans bulging muscles capable of normally dealing sever damage was only fueled by the power of the force further. The buzzing edge of the polearm salshed and tore against the sleeves of the man to only meet the protective gauntlets underneath.

The female nikto had thought he was mad and the upper hand. To Byron's left the Trandoshan earned a box to the head and its weapon being ripped and sundered a heartbeat later. The knight grabbed the shaft of the electroripper where the nikto gripped it and yanked to pull them around until Byron had the bounty hunter between him and the rest of its companions. He could see that one had its bowcaster ripped from its hands and the other was soon to follow. Two other samaritans had joined the fray. Byron wasn't about to say no to help.

Channeling the force through the staff, Byron saw the mechanical droid arms go straight and spark. The Nikto's eyes rolled back into its head and didn't release it until he stopped channeling electrokensis. The current kept the nikto gripping it for a moment longer and fell to the ground. Byron, still gripping the electroripper staff, with some blackened finger marks on the shaft, the Knight twirled and brought it around in one hand behind him. He hoped his training with saber staffs translated well.

The plan worked well enough to minimize what the trapped Jedi had to deal with when he sprang into action. It bought them a few seconds, too. Thanks to the Archivist, Mikko never came between the Trandoshan's crosshairs. The young Knight was swift on his feet too follow through.

As the Rodians scrambled to get up and retake their weapons, he interrupted them with a short burst of speed enhanced by the Force. The yellow blade flashed on and blurred as he crossed their paths. With a clean slice, the fallen Rodian's weapon was split into two. When Mikko's momentum dropped, he landed behind them, kicking the other bowcaster far from their reach.

He switched to a defensive stance as he faced the twins. Now, the hunters were the ones trapped in the center. He was finally able to get a good look at his fellow knights. Ephiny to his right, and possibly...Jedi Knight Byron Ryker across him. It was somehow a relief to see the older Jedi. Mikko wondered if the man ever needed their assistance against the scoundrels. Nevertheless, he spent a split second to flash a grin at Byron once he had the chance.

Mikko quipped in a low voice, addressing the Rodian twins: "Some hospitality would've gone a long way."

After having managed to disarm the Trandoshan, Ephiny jumped and kicked the bounty hunter in the chest, making him fall on his back. When the Trandoshan got up, the Archivist used her lightsaber to corner him.

Usually she did not like to fight this way, preferring to devote herself to research. When it was necessary for Ephiny to use her lightsaber, she would always prefer a defensive stance. However, sometimes an offensive was needed.

Ephiny saw Mikko destroy one of the Rodians' weapons, while he kicked the other away. She also saw the other Jedi defeat the Nikto bounty hunter and now the Archivist could identify him as Jedi Knight Byron Ryker. She wondered what he was doing in Garel.

The three Jedi cornered the bounty hunters. "Knight Byron Ryker, it's good to see you! However, I would prefer it to be under better circumstances." Ephiny said to the other Knight, while she waited for a reaction of the bounty hunters.

The tables had turned on the bounty hunters. Each of them had been disarmed and taken down a notch but that did not mean they lacked the will to fight. A blade of light held in the hands of Ephiny kept the Trandoshan hunter on his buttox for the time being though he uttered an open mouthed reptilian hiss in defiance. "Let's save the..."

The nikto's was down and out. Byron's electric judgement had done the trick. But that left Mikko facing two somewhat disarmed bounty hunters. He doubted the bowcasters were their only weapons and one brought up and arm towards Mikko before releasing a jet of flame in his direction. <"Burn Jedi freak"> She added venomously in huttese.

"...reunion..." The other tried to draw her sidearm. The peacemaker would level towards Ephiny however, believing her sister had Mikko occupied with an inferno. The blaster pistol beltched two shots at the Archivist, aiming to allow the trandoshan a chance to rise. Byron moved closer with the buzzing polearm. Twirling his body forward and bringing the end of the elctroripper's head down on the arm. The rodian's outstretched appendage quickly fell to the ground, clutching the blaster. Now there was less of a chance for them to draw another weapon. Byron followed it up without hesitation with a round house kick to the Rodian's head.

The impact of her body hitting the ground was harder than just gravity and rolling a meter in the street's dust. Byron did not slow down in his whirling dervish of movement. The blunt end of the elctroripper would come around with intended momentum and bash the top of the Trandoshan's skull. The hissing stopped and the tongue snaking out of its toothy maw was unintentionally bitten in the process. "...for later." As much as he liked to think of himself as a galivanting, swashbuckling jedi, he wasn't that witty so talking during combat was something he didn't do. There was still potential danger and he wasn't going to slow down just because some friendly faces showed up to help.

A wall of flames roared between the Knight and the Rodian. Mikko leapt backwards at the nick of time, feeling the lick of heat at his heels as he avoided the sudden attack. He switched to evasive action, keeping himself out of the flamethrower's range while try to find a more advantageous position. It was wrong to underestimate these scoundrels just because they bagged the first round. They were more of a threat than he thought — he'd have to be smarter.

Now the Rodian was marching forward to close the distance once more. Rather than rush her directly while the weapon cooled down and risk running straight into an inferno, Mikko backed up until he was just beside a food kiosk. There was an immediate flash of yellow as he sliced through a thin wooden post. The kiosk's awning fell, a sheet of canvas drifting down between the two fighters. Another burst of flames shot through the canvas as it briefly separated them, but Mikko had already managed to use that moment to take a leap.

The Rodian wasn't even aware that the Knight was already in the air above her. She was left baffled as the sheet turned into ashes and revealed nobody behind it. Rage filled her face when she found Mikko just before he dropped beside her, his blade held close and prepared to swing. The Jedi acted with aggressive speed and unleashed a number of small but immobilizing cuts in only a few seconds. First to the back of the knees, the shoulder, and then the arms. For good measure, he slammed the lightsaber hilt against her temple just as the blade dissolved. The Rodian fell on her side, smoke pouring from her wounds.

He immediately reignited his blade as he turned to the group, but Byron had just bashed the Trandoshan on the head. They barely needed the backup, and Mikko was truthfully relieved. Between the Rodian pyromaniac and the fast-paced takedown, he was covered in sweat. "We should probably get out of this street."

Ephiny was using her lightsaber to maintain the Trandoshan under control when she noticed one of the Rodians pointing a blaster in her direction. The Archivist used her lightsaber to deflect the shoots, which then hit a nearby wall. She turned to the direction where the Rodian was and saw Byron cut her arm off.

With the Rodian down, the Archivist turned to the Trandoshan. It used her moment of distraction to jump on her. However, the Knight used the Force to push them away, before the bounty hunter could fall over her. Ephiny was going to defend herself with the lightsaber, but the reptilian was knocked out after Byro hit its head with the electroripper. “Thank you.” she said to the other knight.

Looking around for the other bounty hunter, Ephiny saw that Mikko had defeated the Rodian. When the other Jedi said that they should leave this street, the Archivist couldn’t agree more. “I agree. If we stay here, other bounty hunters may appear.

However, where should they go? The Force had guided Ephiny to Garel, but but why were the other two there? The Archivist turned to her fellow Jedi. "By the way, why are you there in Garel? I was in Lothal when the Force showed me this planet in a vision and I decided to come here to investigate." she believed that the three were there for the same purpose.

The follow through on the Knights working together ended the disturbance in the street. Byron looked around at the incapacitated Bounty Hunters as the other two Jedi caught their breath. "You're welcome." He replied to Ephiny as his breathing started to normalize. A muscular arm raised and pulled with the Force at the Knight's lightsaber that had been knocked away earlier in the altercation.

"Yeah, gimme a sec and we'll dip." He said casually. They were right about that. Opportunists could be avoided just by absence alone. The drunk from before had partially sobered up and was huddled to one side of the street. "Hey buddy do you think-"

"You're not my buddy, pal! *hic*" They said with still slurred speach before promptly stumbling away in a hurry. The man was afraid of being associated with some members of the Jedi Order. Byron sighed heavily. "...nevermind I guess." Walking over to each of the downed hunters, the man fished out their commlinks and data pads before stowing them each in a pouch on his belt. On one of them he called the local authorities. They would come by and be able to take care of the amputated Trandoshan but the injury did not look to be bleeding too badly. The electro-ribbon cauterized the wound fairly well.

Byron kept the electroripper with him but would walk over to the bowcaster that Mikko had used against the Rodians as n airborne bludgeon. "Nice moves, the both of you. You may want to keep this though. Return it to a wookiee and they'll probably thank you. I have a feeling those two weren't gifted them." If Mikko wouldn't take the weapon then Byron would take it and return it to Kashyyyk eventually. It was better than leaving the cultural hunting weapon for criminals to use for their nefarious means.

"My starfighter's in private hangar at the City Spaceport. I'm tracking smugglers moving artifacts and relics related to the Jedi or Sith so that might be where they can be found but I'm thinking their base is elsewhere, maybe even outside of the city." He was up for suggestions on where to go. The area was not familiar to him so maybe one of the other two Knights would lead them to a place where they could at least keep a lower profile.

"There's more..." Whichever path they chose, the bearded Knight would continue. "I felt a calling to somewhere else...not here. I received a vision a while back. Let's just say it wasn't pleasant." He did not want to go into details about the experience after Denon. The process of him getting his cybernetic upgraded by Doctor Morata had been a struggle and a vision, or maybe a hallucination, had shown Byron of a dreaded world. "I thought Dathomir at first..." he mentioned the world of the Nightsisters and where a dark side presence was known. "...but I think the Force has told me Garel...maybe even Lothal..." He added as he looked toward Ephiny since she had just come from there. "...are just the stepping stones along the way."

Byron felt like it was none of the afformentioned planets. It was a different place, a new world or perhaps something forgotten. Raising his hand he tore off the remaining cloth that had been shredded into ribbons in the melee and tossed them into a nearby dumpster.

Other than the brief interaction between Byron and the drunk man who had somehow been dragged along to the mess, the street was still awfully silent. Soon the authorities would be coming to deal with the fallen bounty hunters. After tucking back the lightsaber hilt on his belt, Mikko took the bowcaster from the ground. It was clear that the he barely knew how to hold it right.

"Interesting," he said, though while staring at the exotic weapon as if he had accidentally caught a thermal detonator. He made sure that it was pointed to the ground, at least, when he looked up to listen to Byron.

The older Knight's story didn't seem to be have anything to do with what Mikko was here for. However, the intersecting paths of the three Jedi might not be a coincidence. "I was actually on my way to the same spaceport. I've heard of smugglers taking this route and was hoping to scout out a certain supplier...but I heard nothing about Jedi or Sith relics."

He understood little of Byron's vision, with how vaguely he explained it. So Mikko thought back to why he ended up here in the first place, with a slight hope that the other two would be able to fill in some blanks. "I got here from Lothal. There was a missing person case back there. Victim turned out not to be simply missing but..." There was a sour look on his face. Even if he didn't witness what happened, it made him feel sick. "Disintegrated. This was the place to go looking for a trail of anyone who might be smuggling or distributing illegal weaponry. Those disruptors are nasty."

After explaining his arrival on Garel, Mikko turned to Ephiny as well, wondering what drew the Archivist to the same city. So far, two out of three Jedi had only vague ideas of what they would find here on Garel. Maybe there was a common path to take from this crossroads.

While Byron talked with the drunk, Ephiny looked around. The street was silent, it didn't even seem like it had been the scene of a fight. However, the Archivist wanted to get out of here, who knows if more bounty hunters would appear.

After Byron and Mikko explained why they were in Garel, Ephiny started to wonder if her vision didn't guide her to this planet in order to make her meet with the other Jedi.

"I was in Lothal doing a search about the Jedi history in the planet for the Archives, when I had a vision of Garel." Ephiny made a pause, remembering what the Force showed her in Lothal. " I decided to come here to investigate. At the spaceport I had another vision that showed the path that I followed until I found Mikko. Perhaps the Force wanted us to meet."

The Archivist turned to Byron. "Perhaps we should investigate these smugglers moving these artifacts. If they are related to the Sith, they are dangerous. Or do you think that your vision can mean something more important?"

Byron was not sure if what Mikko said was good news or bad. Hearing about more than one smuggling operations was likely. "I think the ones I'm following have Black Sun affliations. Have you run into any Syndicate affiliates?" Sometimes they had territory with little more than a system spanning protection racket. But one criminal did not necessarily know the other. All the same it was important that each of their objectives were achieved. Byron reminded himself of this and knew not to prioritize his own so blatantly. "I have a feeling there is more going on here than we realize."

The Jedi continued to walk towards the spaceport and avoid some foot patrols or anyone that looked like they would take a shot at the Jedi. The public displays of violence were left behind them along with the incapacitated hunters. No further opportunists were encountered on the way to the Garel City Spaceport. The spaceport did not have a great deal of traffic at this time of night. But that would make it easier to spot any illegal activity. Also it meant if the Jedi were not careful they would also be just as likely to be spotted. Unlike the smugglers, the Jedi did not have any local authorities on their pay roll.

"If both of you came from Lothal I doubt that's where we're headed after this." But the Force sometimes had a sense of irony about it. The Knight looked to Ephiny and thought about his answer to her question before replying. "I don't know if what I'm looking for is here. But I'm certain that what I find will lead me to it." It was a gut instinct gained from years and he could be wrong. But the Jedi was glad to have like-minded companions. His vision was of a future he did not want to see with his own eyes. Byron was trying to see if it was preventable and hoped it was not inevitable.

A squawk from a helmet voice modulator had Byron move closer to one side of the hallway as they came towards an intersection. Pressing his large frame behind a pillar to be less noticeable, the trio of knights would see two armored guards leading a pair of gonk droids towards the hangar bay. They just had one hallway to go down and they would see the ships and their crews a bit better.

Byron moved out from behind the pillar and krept forward. Summoning the force around himself, Byron tried to cloak himself and become less noticeable. The shifting of light appeared like a heatwave, warping portions of the air until he was obscured so that others would not see them as they got close.

Another six Black Sun Guard stood in the hangar under the Garel Sky. Armed with double barreled blaster pistols and in a uniformed manner. The two gonk droids waddled over to two Y wings that each had an astromech and pilot attending it. There sat a third ship, this one an Aurore class where most of the guards were standing near. Byron looked over his shoulder to Mikko and Ephiny to hear or see what they thought. The moment they went out into the open ground they were likely to be spotted. For now the Jedi party was fine in the connecting pedestrian entrance.

While they were walking to the spaceport. Ephiny was hearing Byron talk with Mikko. From what she could understand Byron was following smugglers associated with the Black Sun. She knew that this ancient crime syndicate was still active. If they were dealing with this group, the Jedi would need to be careful.

After Byron explained that he didn’t know if what he was looking for was in Garel, the Archivist nodded in agreement. The Force works in mysterious ways and its designs aren’t always clear. Perhaps their meeting happened with the purpose of helping Byron discover what he is looking for.

Ephiny’s musings were interrupted by the sound of a voice modulator. She saw Byron hide behind a pillar and decided to do the same. The Archivist saw two guards with a pair of gonk droids walking towards the hangar bay. When they passed, she felt Byron use the Force with the purpose of hiding them from the criminal’s sight.

When the three Jedi approached the hangar, Ephiny could see other Black Sun Guards there. “For this number of guards to be here, the smugglers are probably transporting something important.” she whispered to her companions “I think that we should investigate what they have. If it’s true that they have Force related artifacts, we can’t allow it to stay with the Black Sun. Who knows what they can do with that.

There weren’t just three Jedi present on the Planet, there was four. Helen Summers was doing a recon mission, she was tracking a woman named Jennifer Lockwell, a trained force sensitive-the Duchess of Canto Blight, she had gone missing. And this was her last known location. Apparently she had recently purchased information regarding how Midi-chlorians came to exist, however Summer had been here for two days with nothing turning up.

Helen wasn’t keen on taking down the criminal activity here alone. She was old, and more of a reader then a warrior. So tonight, as she finally accepted defeat. She headed to the Garel City Spaceport. Helen couldn’t recall what ship she had flown in on and really it wouldn’t matter. She assumed she’d find some smuggler or other illdoer who she’d feel indifferent about robbing.

Walking into the spaceport, it would be clear that Helen wasn’t exactly hiding who she was. Wearing grey robes with her hood down, to most people, she would strike them as an old woman-or to those more observant a Jedi. Wandering towards one of the only area’s producing noise, alluding to the ship she could “borrow”. She opted to stick towards the wall as she peaked out from the shadows… oddly enough besides the few patrolling crews… she sensed other force sensitives?

Hellen furrowed her wrinkled old brow, the presence didn’t feel threatening. But you could never be too careful. They weren’t too far ahead of her, so she quietly kept fourth, keeping a hand on her lightsaber hilt which was attached to her belt. Helen was old, but she wasn’t going to let some Sith hooligans kill her that easily. Easing forth, those in front of her would presumably notice her arrival…

There were eight guards in total, plus the two Y-wing pilots. After counting Mikko leaned away, his back pressed to the walls of the hallway that they were now on. It looked like the spaceport was indeed a good pick for finding new clues. Now they had to thread carefully to avoid getting spotted and having to take on armed guards.

"I agree," Mikko responded to Ephiny. "But I'm not sure how we're going to get past these guards..."

Stealth wasn't exactly his specialty. And he wasn't going jump at those guards blades out. While he paced away from the bay doors, something familiar tapped at his senses. A new presence? Mikko turned and saw the robed figure approaching from further down the hallway. When he noticed that the figure was poised to draw a weapon, his first instinct was to do the same in defense.

"Someone's coming," he muttered to the two Jedi on his side as his hand disappeared underneath the green poncho where he was holding on to the concealed lightsaber hilt. He remained neutral in case it was just a passerby, but that was unlikely at this hour. When the figure came close enough for Mikko to see their features, he first noticed the grey hair then the Jedi robes.

It was an old woman...one that he had seen many times during his early days with the Jedi, mainly when he was sent to the archives to study. Those were definitely not his favorite days as a Padawan.

"A Jedi Librarian, out here?" He wondered out loud, forgetting that one of his current companions is an Archivist. Mikko's dubious tone made his question sound almost like an insult. It was a terrible habit for whenever he was even just mildly surprised by something. However, he seemed to be unaware of this, unconcerned even if the newly arrived Helen Summers may have heard it herself.

The last time Byron had seen a crew of smugglers they had been moving kyber crystals on the black market. Those could have been dangerous in the wrong hands. There were other objects the Knight had learned about from his historical studies. He thanked his Master's archological interests for educating him though if only for the information since the knowledge also brought concern.

Ahead of them, the Knight's eyes moved calmly from one Black Sun guard to the next, trying to think of how best to approach. "We take them out. Obviously. We should focus on the Aurore" He replied to Mikko's uncertain tone with a jut of his chin the in the direction of the light freighter. The Y-wings were just escorts and did not have much in the way of cargo space. That much Byron knew. But he refrained from going further as the fellow Knight warned him of another's approach. The Knight was focused on keeping the trio hidden from the naked eye though their presence would be felt by other force sensitives. Instead the bearded jedi kept his focus and held the inactive electroripper at the ready.

An older woman approached the group from behind which Mikko noticed first. The other Jedi may have recognized her but Byron did not. His gaze eyed the librarian for a moment before returning to look at the armored guards to be dealt with. The Jedi pulled his lightsaber from his belt, holding the hybrid-pistol hilt in his left hand while the recently acquired polearm was in his right. The Ryker Custom MK I on his right hip, his personal sidearm, was a hard hitting blaster. Mikko had the bowcaster taken from the bounty hunters but that was lethal. Not that the Falleen guards were absolved of any tresspasses for their criminal activity. The man just did not like unnecessary bloodshed.

Switching hears, Byron began to step out into the hangar. If the others joined him they would certainly help in taking down. The Jedi's booted feet picked up speed until he was thundering across the hangar bay rapidly. Stealth had been dropped and the Knight focused his intent on swarming the guards. As one man, he could not do this. But as one Jedi it was possible. To either side of him, behind him and infront of Byron there were other Jedi. Master Maximus Tionson, Talak Rand and the visage of other fallen Jedi that the man had lost, all charged beside him with lightsabers and weapons in hand. A mass illsuion overtook the Black Suns guards who, despite their expressionless masks, velt fear as a dozen of the righteous order came within striking distance. What few leveled their blasters missed some of the hallucinated targets while others just simply passed right through their incorporeal form. The Jedi brawler was already ontop of them. He swept low knocking legs out from under two guards in a wide sweep of his staff. The follow through brought the elctroripper's now activated blade down across the outstretched blaster of a third.
