Really the argument about how this character could be a lightsider wasn't about the powers, it was about the fact that you can't just twist the psychology and biology of a race that thrives on the darkside. Then it was how the hell she could use those darkside powers as lightside abilities. Fact of the matter is that it's never been about the powers, more on how any of this is possible for lamia.

Also it was my idea to kill her, just so we are clear with that. At least I was the most blatant.

there is no conspiracy, fyi. also, what shit? if lamia becomes too powerful, grabbing the attention of the sith, than she'll be gone after- no ooc matters involved only ic, just like matsu, and if that's the case and she does die there won't be anything you could do.. allison and ruby had a tad of ooc, that's why i didn't argue when brandon asked me to change it.

The only problem here is with Lamia's powers, you haven't answered what their power level are at, or how she can be using obvious darkside powers and still claim to be a light sider, some of the powers just seem a bit extreme and when you haven't listed how powerful they are it seems a little overpowered, especially when compared to certain Master Level/Ranked characters who have no where near the amount of powers as this character.

The power levels for most of them are what would be considered average. I'm making her a bit more balanced and stuff(she literally has never used any of the explicitly Dark Side powers since she learned them) rather then sheer Light Side. Besides, the number of powers doesn't exactly matter if the person you're facing is a master of fewer powers.

The only problem here is with Lamia's powers, you haven't answered what their power level are at, or how she can be using obvious darkside powers and still claim to be a light sider, some of the powers just seem a bit extreme and when you haven't listed how powerful they are it seems a little overpowered, especially when compared to certain Master Level/Ranked characters who have no where near the amount of powers as this character.

I find this almost problematic, but because I'm smart I agree with it.

When you have WAAAAY too many force powers, people have a problem with it. They want to, then, know your skill level with them.

Even with my Master level character, I just have the powers listed, no bars or descriptions of how skilled she is in any one technique. However, my list isn't nearly as numerous as your own, and my character is a reasonable age for the abilities she knows. As well, people who RP with me, know the extent of her powers. Indeed, I've only added 3 powers since I created her... because I'm REALISTIC. As well, it is, or should be, known that her newly learned skills with these abilities are that of a novice just learning them.

However, with your list, and the nature of your character, this can't be discerned easily, thus the request for the extent of her power.

Trust me, I'm all for keeping things vague so people don't make a character your weakness just for the intent of killing you, which is what's going to happen should you continue on this path and change nothing. Though you get to choose what characters you RP with, so the fear that someone will make your exact weakness is a bit moot. And even so, they don't need to do that when all the Darths come after you and attack you at the same exact time.

I don't see the reason for resistance. People just don't want your character to be overpowered. Should my character be seen as a very real threat (which is what's happening with your character), then I would be more than happy to add such descriptions.

Anyway, I didn't really want to add to this mess, but I felt that a clarification might be nice/wanted/needed (whatever).

I already removed the powers Jiang told me to. If he has no problem with how it is, I don't either. If an admin has a problem with it, they can tell me directly, and I'll change it.

Then just say that in the profile itself! You don't give away her powers while at the same time keeping people happy. Just say that her recently learned powers are average and that she's never used those dark side powers since she learned them, just that she knows the theory/basics of how to use them (or whatever you want).

To be honest, I would never enter a death match with her because of this. Even more, I probably wouldn't duel her either, or enter a thread where I'm an opposing force. That said, when a number of people feel this way, then there's a problem that needs to be fixed. Otherwise, again, people are just going to kill her off to solve the problem if you won't.

That, or you're going to have to do every thread you ever do [CLOSED] and limit yourself to who you RP with and what your character does.

The profile's been tinkered with. I'm not going to bother making a complicated bar stat system. Simple scale from Learned(for recently learned powers) to Mastered(self-explanatory).

To be honest, I would never enter a death match with her because of this. Even more, I probably wouldn't duel her either, or enter a thread where I'm an opposing force. That said, when a number of people feel this way, then there's a problem that needs to be fixed. Otherwise, again, people are just going to kill her off to solve the problem if you won't.
