Either way the decisions makes itself, and forgive Mr.Admin Matt for posting this, as you stated we should not. I am a naughty gecko, but either way you look it, due to my characters nature, she would most likely.. role-play with Lamia, if not of course, fully as friends, more of a neutral hey hows it going, wanna train relationship. Beyond that it does breaks Sera's bound.. but hey, see how it goes, and good luck :)

I was contemplating sending it to one of the admins as a PM, but then thought I'd look like a fool.

As for your offer... She'll think about it.

*scene goes to Lamia fading in and out of the landscape, waiting for her final fate to be determined*

Lightsaber throw is also a bit much, that implies you've master Force push/pull enough to manipulate your lightsaber after you've thrown it (not to mention use the force to keep it ignited while it's flying).

Um... first off, its not that hard to master those by the time you reach your second or third year under a master in canon they practically have most basic powers almost, if not completely mastered. Second, once the button of the lightsaber is pressed, it's on it doesn't turn off until they press the button again. I have seen it done with lightsabers like Luke's, he had to press it to turn it on and again to turn it off he wasn't pressing it the whole time. They almost never have their hands on the button anyway. Some hold it with one hand at the bottom when the button is at the top.

Sorry if I'm being rude but that made no sense to me.

Force Push/Pull is a lot more than "push/pull something over there." Firstly it's very video game-ish to call them push/pull in the first place - really, they fall under the blanket ability of telekinesis.

Which is insane to have mastered as a Padawan. Starkiller brought down a Star Destroyer with telekinesis. It can move boulders, rip dozens of rifles out of soldiers' hands, etc.

As for saber throw, the subheading on the wiki article for telekinesis states that it could be manually locked in the 'on' position or with the Force. So Xyrael wasn't entirely off there.

well my padawn would probably like her but only because she does not know much of the outside world and would not know much about the sith race.

Oh if Sogar knew Lamia was Matsu's padawan he would have run for the hills. But nice update.

He doesn't know that, but he has already trained her Horror and drain life xD

Well I think the Harrowing will give Lamia a lot of new things. Also Action Angels.

I like this character. The setup with the species concerned me at first, but then I thought of something. Light and Dark sides of the Force are NOT just Good versus Evil. At one point, the only difference was the desire to embrace and master one's emotions, rather than the discipline of restraint that the Jedi followed. That's what sparked the hundred year's way by Ajunta Pall's perception, despite that his followers wanted it for self preservation, greed, and lust for power.

My point, is that a Sith offspring from a society removed from its natural habitat could have completely different social values and outlooks on the universe. Not everything has to be evil, just because it's naturally attuned to that side of the Force. To be more specific, the planet itself may have influenced their development, but the individual Force signatures of significant beings left traces, as well as the species as a whole. It's not all about the physiology of the species.

The Sith species is not included in the banned species list, nor is it disallowed in any other threads that I've seen. As long as you have FL/Admin permission (and/or), I don't see a problem with it. I actually look forward to meeting this character in the RP, as Darth Umbra would have a very interesting conversation with Lamia, if given the chance.

@Fusion: Not sure if this was the character you were referring to when you wanted to meet up in the story, but if it is, I'm excited :D

So, old thread, but personally, I feel to disown or to discriminate against a species trying to become a Jedi simply for the actions of it's kin and its own "nature" is a Dark Side action in and of itself. Pretty sure Yoda would have been less than pleased if Qui-gon or Mace had been absolute racists. And being powered by the Dark Side itself shouldn't be an indicator of your personal morality, it just means you have to be careful, and maybe the rules she herself are held to are more strict than her peers. It's like if you had an alcoholic friend. Your other friends can go into a bar just fine, but your one friend you monitor. But you don't cast the friend aside because of his personal demons. Also, the mere act of a "pureblood Sith" trying to redeem herself should be celebrated among the Council. It's hard-freaking proof that evil's power isn't absolute. I'd think that a "wicked" race walking the path of redemption would be the ultimate triumph of good there is, and for members of the Jedi Council itself to shun that or ruin it, such an action would no doubt make the Emperor cackle in his grave, at the bottom of that warp coil thingamajig.

Anyway, that's what I got out of this. Interesting character concept.

Just a small note: I gave the Grandmaster an in character private message that provided eye-witness testimony you used Darkside powers. There were also a lot of people watching our duel from the training yard. So, yes, he did have proof. And it is actually stated that Kinetite is a darkside power on the wiki as well as Force horror and a few others Lamia uses.

I just finished going through Lamia's force powers and saber skills. I have some very serious issues, which I've highlighted in one of two colors. If it's RED, then I want it removed. I don't want to debate about it - I want it gone or revamped entirely. [I'll provide details on which I want you to do.] If it's in BLUE, then I want you to show how and where you learned it and why your character needs it.

FORCE POWERS:
Force Horror
Drain Life

Electric Judgement/Force Lightning
Combustion
Force Heal
Levitation
Force Sense
Mind trick
Force Push/Pull
Force Jump
Saber Throw
Force Speed
Force Body
Force Cloak
Force Stealth
Moricho
Force Absorb
Force Protect
Crucitorn
Phase [Remove it, please.]
Dampen Force
Obscure
Malacia
Kinetite
Alter Environment
Force Shockwave
Plant Surge
Animal Friendship
Healing Trance
Thought Shields
Thought Projection
Mind Speak
Pyro/Hydro/Cryokinesis [Just a note, manipulating heat and water (pyro and cryokinesis, respectively) are essentially basic subunits of Alter Environment, which the power of which is regulated by how scientifically skilled your character is. More scientific knowledge = more shit you can do with AE.]
Telepathy [What degree of telepathy? Simple image/emotional projection, thought reading, full-blown mental conversations...?]
Art of the Small
Sith Alchemy

Due to her extremely strong Force Bond with Matsu, she is capable of utilizing all of her Force powers, but to a lesser degree. Despite her Master's death, she is still vary capable with her powers. [Absolutely not. This part needs to go.]

SKILLS:
Melee combat, Force usage, dodging, destroying objects, threatening people

[So she destroys her own toast when she goes to butter it. Someone needs to make adamantium toast for her. :3]

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Form "Zero"
Juyo/Vapaad
Niman
Jar'Kai
Shii-cho
Makashi
Soresu
Ataru
Shien
Trispzest
Sokan
Tràkata
Lus-ma
Unarmed Combat
Telekinetic saber combat
Mounted Saber combat
Lightwhip combat
Saberstaff combat

[I don't recall Lamia being a god of Lightsaber Combat. The rules of this site put a distinct cap on how many saber forms your character can know, and this far exceeds it. This character gets two forms.]

This is it for now. I'll be taking another look at Lamia in the near future, when I have more time and ambition to reference things with my books and with wookieepedia.

That reminds me: When the person you are connected to in a force bond dies, you lose all power and ability gained through that force bond. And Matsu had a bond with nearly everyone she held close to her...

You have all lost the abilities and powers gained through that bond. I always spoke of repercussions.

Hence why she trained and practiced said powers. :CScool

Training and Practicing them while having a Force Bond means nothing. The powers that Lamia learned from Matsu while using her Force Bond should be removed. Really this should take Lamia from Master to Knight level now that Matsu is dead.
