I hesitate to even acknowledge this, but 1. Disney didn't ruin Star Wars and 2. no it won't hurt the RP.

That is just of my opinion the movie resembled episode 4 A new Hope way to much.

Everything is still under development in regards to both what the community would like to see and what the Think Tank is developing. If it's something you're interested in, I'd suggest bringing it up in the DotR: Jedi discussion thread in the workshops.

Guyz, I'm excited for the new timeline and can't wait to lurk in the dark, dank corners of the site and never get to post any actual RPs because adulting is hard. :)

I'm still not quite sure why this was the setting chosen for the new timeline. It was pretty obvious everyone was massively in favor of shifting the site back to the Tutu Consortium.

Originally I was told late January however its quite a lot of writing for the admins and the think tank to do so I would assume it is more likely going to be February. In regards to information being released, its not done on a weekly basis, but they are pretty good at letting us know, as soon as they know. Is there any specific information you are looking for? Maybe to help with a character or something? One of the TT people or admins may be able to help with what they know so far, just be aware nothing is set in stone at the moment.

I have a question: will only canon Force powers be allowed for the new timeline or do you have a more nuanced plan for them? I ask only because I noticed that the amount of force powers (including variants) that are still canon are quite small.

Don't get me wrong that might actually be a good thing (e.g. severely limits the ability to create mary sues , encourages creativity when it comes to using the force, non-force users have a far better chance of beating force users etc.) but I'm still curious as I'm noticing that in the character workshops in the DOTR sub-forum people who have added force powers to their characters seem to be under the assumption that we will still have access to the Force Powers in Star Wars Legends.

I just wanted to get a clarification on that if the admins/think tank have decided.

That is because the old timeline is still valid until the new timeline is applied, which means that the characters being created are still fitting in the old timeline.

I think that in the new timeline only canon Force powers will be allowed.
