Hey folks, new around these parts. When the new timeline does in fact start, will there be a site-wide alert and notification?

I'm very much looking forward to this new timeline, I've already finished making (or remaking so to speak) my character for the new timeline and now just waiting to see if I need to make any edits to the character as a whole.

Canon force powers to be honest would be preferable if only because I have seen some of the well... stranger ones and would rather not see them used if only because a) their ridiculous, b) their extremely overpowered, and c) they as whole don't make a whole lot of sense and almost come off as a cheat code to a problem that was going on in the story.

Anyways looking forward to the new timeline.

I'm new to this RP and I'd like to start RPing as soon as possible. But from the looks of this reboot starting a character now would seem stupid since he would be wiped out in a few short weeks. Is it best to just wait for this reboot to occur?

Some are using this time to go in depth and develop a good character for the new timeline. It might be best to wait as many threads will be trying to end not start now.

Take a look over everything. It's the perfect time to join and start fresh with us.

You can make a character and retool it for next timeline or wait. Either option is valid, just be aware that there will probably be some rule changes so the retooling may require a for more changes outside of biography.

I'm deciding based on how long the reboot will take honestly. If it is realistically a month away, I may just wait it out since I have other stuff to attend to. But if it is longer, I may just make one.

I've been reading over all the announcement and lore threads, now I'm gonna take a look at some of the rping threads. Should be interesting. With the way everything is turning to an end, it would feel weird to start. I joined a previours rp when it had just finished up it's reboot, and that made the transition a little awkward. I think I may just wait it out.

New to this RP, but I've done an old Star Wars political RP before. I am very eager for this new canon timeline. I may go ahead and create a character for the reboot, and just wait till it starts instead of playing now.

Just a question I hope that can be answered. And I apologize in advance to all Staff who have been badgered by this question but...do you have a clear picture of when DOTR will begin?

Just as a quick update: we're about 88% done in terms of all the write-ups, rules, guidelines and templates needing to be submitted. Another way of looking at it? We're waiting on about three write-ups, so we've got almost everything in place. We're now in the process of (aside from the submissions we're still waiting on) proofreading, editing and making minor adjustments to the submitted information.

Is it safe to assume we willing be getting some time between when the write-ups are "released" and the actual start (like we did with timeskip) so we can tweak/finish characters and what not?

I honestly can't say one way or the other, since I've got nothing to do with setting up the boards or anything. I'll tag @Brandon Rhea in on this so he can comment.
