Next Timeline: Indie Faction Discussion

We just have to have enough diversity between all of the 'factions' to justify them being allied, rather than merged. Because if it's just four groups of three people, why not just have one group of 12?

We'll have to see what everyone comes up with with their factions. I don't see the Commission being an immediate thing.

In response to this ^^ @Miz and @Benvenu7 would y'all be interested in discussing a possible merging of factions with my faction idea? Each one of your organizations could be a member of the syndicate. OOcly we would all be working together leadership wise to make it great and ICly you really wouldn't loose any control over your groups outside of being a member of the syndicate.

I had an idea for a Pirate/Crime Family hybrid, but I'll hold off on developing it until I can think of an angle that can differentiate it from the others. Either that or I'll end up joining one of the other Indie factions.

I'm sure I am missing someone but looks like each one of us are making a criminal faction, each with its own twist and spins. So now that we got the players who is willing to form a alliance of criminals (not the hutt cartel which is one big criminal empire) but rather just a small collection of powerful criminal factions working together to both be profitable and carry out there dark plans.

Good question amigo! There are a lot of things that could be done. With the acquisition of money being a main goal. We could "repo" an asteroid mining base that isn't making payments on it's loan. We can assassinate senators who want to raise taxes on their planets. Work with the main factions to offer them better interest rates which can boost them militarily. We can work with the crime factions to hide their money and spoils. If we have our hand in the money we can be a part of all sorts of missions.

The IBC has a military branch as well so there is a lot that can be done with acquiring territory from people legally or we can do it forcefully as well.

Since this faction has the potential for people who want combat and those who don't, and we will work with all the factions, we can do some serious good or bad and expand quickly.

Diamonds in the Rough isn't a criminal faction. We won't be a "lawful good" group, but it's in our beliefs that those who prey off those who can't defend themselves/use underhanded means to reach their goals can't and won't be trusted.

^ It's a neutral faction that recruits veteran service members looking for work or to work together for 'stabilizing' volatile encounters between two factions. In no way is Diamonds in the Rough a criminal faction or has claimed to be. They're True Neutral, in DnD sense.

If are gonna have an Intergalactic Banking Clan then perhaps my drive company can work together, handling loans and such for building new ships.

If anyone's interested in working out alliances, rivalries, and stories, I'm currently working on a very lore rich kind of pseudo-peacekeeping faction called the Accord, which is made up of three smaller groups with different background lead by a council and internal security force, and is dictated by a list of overarching tenants.
