Yeah, that's pretty much how we had them before the merge. Don't see any point in changing them back, besides that they do give more individuality.

There shouldn't be additional ranks anyway. That adds too many ranks that have to be given things to do, and that's really not practical in a RP where Force sensitives vs. Force sensitives is the focus, not soldier vs. soldier.

I'm sure there are things that can be done to make Lieutenant, Commander, and General more interesting, but adding more ranks would be a bad idea.

I'd like to propose editing the NAIM section, making them a part of my SpecOps write-up based on this article, changing their name to GAIA (Galactic Alliance Intelligence Agency), and moving them to the military board. They're kind of in the middle of nowhere in the Archives board.

I'd also like to suggest an Archive submission sticky, including approval process.

Fine by me.

Should we look at having specific jedi incharge of these areas?

Once I finish up on the above, I'd like to propose a publicized military movements thread in the GA subboard. One of the biggest problems I've found compared to the Sith is we don't have an active list of where our fleets are and what they're doing, but I don't want to waste time making three post IC threads involving said movements. I'll provide an example of a typical post we would have in the thread.

NOTICE: Reassignment of 3rd armada, "Red Spear" to Taanab.

The 3rd armada has hereby been re-assigned to patrolling the Taanab system at O-8 of the galactic map. "Red spear" will reinforce current local security measures, scout and patrol both local and nearby systems to secure against Imperium assault.

Red Spear Armada Breakdown:
1x Valiant-class Star Dreadnought
8x Heroic-class Star Destroyers
2x Intrepid-class Carrier/Destroyers
8x Dauntless-class Star Destroyers
14x Indominable-class Assault Frigates

Full complement of 26,952 Long-Range Starfighters
Full complement of 13,536 Short-Range Starfighters

Quarter complement of 10,010,000 ground forces.

This force will remain posted at this new position for a period of no less then three standard galactic months, or until further notice.

Btw, that's using the number listed in the write-ups for starfighter and troop complements, which are derived numbers from Rebellion-era Imperial numbers. Anyone else beginning to see why the Empire only deployed a handful of destroyers in even the biggest of fleet deployments? :bitchez

Sorry, I double post too much... >,> I just want to make sure you all see this.

I'd like at least some of us to join this thread.

>,>' Uh, no...do I need to know the answer to that one?

However, I do like the idea of posting fleet movements.

Quick question that can be discussed over PMs;

A Remnant of the Old Jedi Order: Signs point to an object located on Dagobah, one steeped in the force. The specifics are unknown, just as much of the planet is. It is possible that the object was purposefully left behind by the late Grand Master Yoda, the last of the Old Jedi Order. If this proves to be true, then it must be brought back to the Order.

A small team of Jedi is to travel to the planet and search for this object. The dangers are unknown other than the native species on the planet. However, these are, for the most part, harmless. Find it and bring it back to the Council.

I'd like it to actually be a message from him, if you all are ok with it. I'm having some trouble coming up with what it should be about though.

Any ideas?

It should be a message filled with really bad Jedi jokes.

But if we're serious maybe it should have something on the dark side cave that is on Dagobah.

Mav, Omg Mav I have a wonderful, but kinda stupid idea for a mission. The mission is about an outbreak of this on a desolate space station, which goes silent after an hour, and after a few days a team of jedi are dispatched to figure out what happend to the space station. Like I said wonderful but probably stupid:/. Also no deaths unless completly wanted:CHappy

Thoughts?

If that happens, it should be a joint Jedi/Sith mission. Given the nature of the disease, I would say either the Sith are there because they unleashed it, or they're there to stop it.

When you think about it, a plot where Jedi and Sith have to work together to stop something that they both consider a threat is a really intriguing premise and offers a chance for a lot of good character development on both sides.

As a matter of fact, that sounds like a really awesome Legacies Quest...

Yeah, I know Radz or Weiss... pretty sure it was Radz, had a similar idea. What happened to that one?

But yeah, what should we do to get this started?

It was Johnny, they wanted to do one for Halloween. Here's the link to the OOC board and the link to the story, it doesn't look like they got far.

As for speaking of missions and what not. Could we do a mission involving Asajj Ventress? Like as in maybe some remnants of the ship she disappeared on was found and then clues could lead to how she spent the rest of her days?

Firstly; with that mission idea, should it be a coop with us and the Sith? How would I/we go about it?

Secondly:

I decided that the Saber Challenge would not be efficient enough. I have transformed the test into a special training for a Jedi task force I have in mind. I have a few people interested with the idea.

Ok... am I supposed to know anything about this?

Well, this task Force will be known as the Jedi Rogue and will work under advisory of my two characters to do missions for the Jedi Order incognito as four jedi who go without name carrying out special missions such as rescue and the like. It's a pretty good idea.

>.>

...Ok...??

The 'saber challenge' was just supposed to be something fun for our Knights to do, so I'm not sure what you mean by 'inefficient'.

Anywho, sounds interesting to me. Who have you been talking to about this?

We could, I just haven't had a moment to think more on it. But I'll give it some thought tonight.

Not me. Didn't know Deloi was even still lurking around. >,>

Having reason for both the Acolytes and Padawans being on the station should not be incredibly difficult. I'd say the Jedi go there to contain it, or more simply, check out mysterious reports. The Sith could be there to do damage control - maybe it had already spread through a couple stations and they didn't want to lose any more?

And no, Deloi hasn't PMed me either.

Also: Jiang brought up that a huge-ass ancient Kushari starship sort of rose out of the ground and he wants one of his DSEG characters(one of those cats, anyway) to see if there's anything about it in the Archives. If there's no objections I'll make a thread to escort Jiang while he looks around, and depending on what his character finds, we can get a new mission up and running to help the Kushari check out the spaceship.
