To answer your question, which I'm pretty sure you've already started anyway, I say yes, go for it.

Anyway, I just wanted to make you all aware of this.

Yeah... I'm pretty sure we're going to have a council thread for it. Haven't talked to the others yet.

I just don't understand why people want sith to be Jedi... it's just cliche in a bad way. But whatever...

Anyway, that actually sounds like an awesome (looking for the source of these purebloods, cause they're kind of supposed to be extinct to the known galaxy) idea for a mission, or set of missions; finding out where they're all coming from. Would you want to organize it/come up with a short write up? I mean, I could but it was your idea.

The notion of a Sith Pureblood just convinces me the idea of a anti-hero is probably the worst literary device invented in the 20th century. Tragic heroes have always been a favorite of mine, but I can not stand bad guys masquerading as good guys - when they do go bad, it's just so obvious, like fulfilling their own prophecy. Anti-hero characters are so boring, you sit there either thinking "well this is unrealistic and farcical" because he's not doing what he's meant to do, or you go "saw that coming" because he becomes remotely tempted by his darker side. There are never any surprises with them And the Sith are worst of all, because they are the essence of the Dark Side. That's like saying I made a creature through Dark Side alchemy who doesn't think he wants to feed off hate anymore.

Sure, I can do a write up, it'll take some time to think about though. Pitch me any ideas you have on it.

Um, just one thing, did anyone actually OK Deloi's Jedi Rogue idea? It sounds like a crappy way to give Deloi more command and influence free of repurcussions, and if anyone was going to be in charge of it, Deloi would be very low on the list.

Not to my knowledge, Deloi likes to disappear and then come back with some idea, do a bit of whining about Jedi activity, then disappear again.

If he wants to run the idea, he'll need to submit a write-up to us. I want all these operations and groups documented.

Honestly, he hasn't talked to me about any specifics. I gave him a list of knights that are active that might want to join, but I agree, he is most certainly not going to lead this. At least from an OOC perspective.

Deloi said:
I just thought of it two days ago. I sent it out to four knights so far that I feel fit a prerequisite for the class on the basis that they have the basic skills of what I had in mind. Only two I have confirmation about joining while I'm waiting for the other two. The people who agreed so far are the Xyrael and Jax Vos.

That was his response to me. Should I PM him... even though he's on for like... 1 hour a day?

Yeah, and this is why I wanted his characters off the list cause he might as well not even RP anymore...
Sorry, I know it's quite obviously I don't like him.

Well, we need to figure out if, as a faction, this group will be authorized or recognized, cos it sounds like noone's really happy with the proposal.

It sounds pretty useless to me. Anyone should be able to do undercover missions or 'rescue missions[whatever that means]' w/o being in a little special group that only has four people in it. Also, Jax Vos wouldn't be my first pick for a group like that.

Bottom line, we're not doing this, unless we take the time to plan out its purpose more thoroughly and see who would be in it, but still, I don't see a great importance for it.

Okay, that sounds like a veto to me. Soemone'll have to contact Deloi and give him the word.

This is what I just sent him.

OH! You guys have talked about it? I thought it would be a great sub-class for the Jedi Sentinel.

Yes, we've been discussing it amongst ourselves. I've told you at least twice at this point that we wanted a write up, and you have yet to provide one. I don't know if you've told someone else, and if you have then I apologize.

If you give us a good and detailed write up and explain what it is you're trying to do, then we'll consider it. However, we have an intelligence agency already, and while it may be more focused towards soldiers, that's only because we want more non FS in the military; the Jedi are more than welcome to sign-up for it.

That said, talk with us first before trying to just start doing it. We feel like you're just going behind our backs to do whatever it is you want to do and not only are we a little confused, because you've given us no information and you keep changing your mind, but it's a little disrespectful.

I still need to do the write-up for that, I'm doing a big overhaul and making them more flexible...but yes, we'll be using them.

Just some housekeeping things:

This thread needs its links updated. Also the GA military Roster should go through some updating. Someone noticed, I've noticed for a while, but was too distracted to mention anything for the time being.

So here's a new skew to the barbekew:

The Loremaster just admitted to, in lack of a wanting to use nicer words, drinking people on a regular basis. ICly the Offensive Battlemaster was not quite very well absolutely coolbeans with this. I'm thinking we need to do a full-on council meeting soon.

You know, presently (even though it hasn't gotten there in the RP yet) Jhon Cordatus is in hiding, but he's still got the title of Keeper of the Way. This could be a good situation for him to be called in for, to mediate or to bring clarity to the situation. Something like that.

That's a selfish suggestion since it just seems fun!

Sorry for throwing a huge wrench in things, if this is even one. I was just under the impression that it hadn't been successful; an Anzat living for an extended period of time without doing so. Of course I'm probably wrong or misinterpreting it, but either way it's already there and I can't really take it back.

That said, I'm not sure what you guys want to do with the 'mission' thread at this point. I was actually hoping that, if you guys didn't mind, that I could edit the frequency in which she feeds. Much as before, I was under the impression that they had to do it quite frequently, but I guess they don't? Would that be unacceptable? No one would have to edit anything, of course.

Just because it hasn't been done, doesn't mean it can't be done. I know I threw a bit of a curve ball, but killing other sentient beings and draining their Force essence - regardless of motive - isn't really something a Jedi should be okay with, and your character needs to be prepared for the conswequences of those actions.

While there's no evidence of an Anzat overcoming their hunger, a Jedi is probably in the best situation to find a solution. Because Anzay t have no metabolism and feed off the Force essence of others, its perfectly reasonable for an Anzat Jedi to discover a way of feeding off the Living Force to sustain themselves.

That said, I'd rather not have there be any edits or retcons to the situation - I think it would actually really add to this storyline, and would be a really interesting way to develop all of our characters and their relationships between each other.

That thread did not go in the intentional direction I wanted it to go. Oh well...

Is Jhon going to find a babysitter for his newly acquired child? There's a rule I heard, crying babies are not allowed in the Council Chambers.

If Jhon brings that baby, Kara's punting it out a window.
