Anyone see that supercool speech that was totally unbiased and didn't point fingers at all?

What a tool.

Bloody speech interrupted hells kitchen :CStern

I mean it was completely biased, but really? I want to watch hells kitchen, would like them to hurry up. Not like they arnt going to raise the roof, its going to happen. It may be last minute like the budget argument, but it will happen, so I would like to get on with Gordon!!

EDIT: Never mind.. it was Master Chief.. It was supposed to be a new one, but because of the speech they put the wrong one on!!! its a repeat... damn you obama!!

It seems to me that you have no understanding of politics at all. Is Obama a journalist? A scientist? Is he paid to tell you the weather? No? Then why do you expect him to be unbiased? I really don't follow your line of thought, at all.

A President should unite the nation, not point fingers and put all the blame on one group while saying the Republicans are 'holding the economy prisoner'.

A majority of Americans are united behind a) saying that they support Obama's proposal that includes tax increases and b) saying that if the economy defaults, it'll be the Republican Party's fault.

You must have watched a different speech. He only said that Republicans aren't willing to compromise, which is objectively true.

A majority of Americans also support Cthulhu. Cite your sources.

You must have missed the holding captive part, as well as a dozen other bull lines tossed in. You can't compromise on something you truly believe is detrimental- this doesn't make you care more about corporations, etc.

That made me laugh :CHappy

That alone almost makes up for me having to watch a re-run of what should have been a new Master Chief!

I'm going out on a limb and saying; The people voted and we got this guy as president. If you don't like him, well, tough t*tties. He's our president. Make the best of what we've gotten ourselves into. Just saying~

I can't find the exact things from a week or so ago when this was (Google is now inundated with more recent articles that share relevant key words), but here are ones I could find:

http://money.cnn.com/2011/07/14/news/economy/debt_ceiling_taxes/ - taxes. Cites Qunnipiac

http://pewresearch.org/pubs/2030/poll-who-would-be-responsible-if-no-debt-limit-deal - 9 point plurality of Americans will blame the GOP

http://pewresearch.org/pubs/2063/pr...y-pelosi-harry-reid-mitch-mcconnell-tea-party - people have more confidence in Obama than Congressional leaders, including John Boehner and Mitch McConnell

http://www.gallup.com/poll/148562/Americans-Including-Republicans-Debt-Compromise.aspx - Americans want a compromise

EDIT: Oh and by the way, cite your source for Cthulu. :CStern
