I'm fine with being an instructor. a rookie training the freshmeat and only just becoming a ranger. he'll be a good survivalist and marksman instructor.

Your experience would make your character an ideal instructor, IMO.

"Rangers are assigned to a Sector, with each Sector being headed by a Special Enforcement Officer who overseas the work of all the Rangers in his or her sector. Traditionally though, this has little to do with the area a Ranger actually covers- since their jurisdiction stretches the length and breadth of Republic space and sometimes beyond, being assigned to a sector simply means that that sector is where most of a Rangers cases originate from. I read somewhere though, that there are no real 'bases' anywhere, in practice, but we just own a building on Coruscant.

So Droiddude and Darasuum are to be instructors, thank you guys. ;)
The setting could be a training centre on Coruscant, unless @Mr.BossMan disagrees for any reason, you could go with that.

Iain and Roxas will receive admin and physical training.

We just need to know what @Sarah Vez wants to do, once she is approved.

Maybe we should ALL just take part in the same training programme, a kind of refresher course, with the instructor as just some faceless NPC in the background?

In other words, all Rangers and new recruits, perhaps because of orders from up high (like Director level maybe), orders saying that even current Rangers who are not currently on missions re-sit the entrance exams, as it were.

So then we could each just post from our own perspective of the same lessons.. the seasoned Rangers would be really annoyed they are having to do this, yet maybe the new recruits will show them a thing or two.

There could be different stages:
Assault/obstacle course
Computer skills
Investigate mock crime scene
Shooting range
Intelligence Test
etc

We could devise the scenario OOC for each stage as we go along.

Instead of a training exercise for the already established rangers but an annual refresher course for them and they could be tired of these annual deals like how us in the military do and law enforcements have their tests and refresher courses we have to do after a certain amount of time. To make sure we still got what it takes
