Lalita Tune could feel the darkness humming off her homeworld as she sat in the cockpit next to the gangling creature who she was about to make her next apprentice. His mind was weak, and naive enough she could turn him to what ever she wanted him to be. She leaned forward and typed in some coordinates, "Here is where you are to land." she told him. Her voice was still soft, but had menacing inflection.

Talath looked to the side, his head tendrils waving ever so softly around his skull. According to the computer, the coordinates given by the woman were not far away from here. He had been rather quiet all this time, but what else could be expected? He had just gone through quite the experience, and was offered something not given everyday: power. He took it, in hopesnot only of surviving but also in hopes that maybe... maybe there was more to his life than being a petty smuggler.

He moved the handler, and the ship swerved softly under his command. Fortunately he had learned how to drive from all the times had had been watching the others do it, and it seemed he could handle it pretty well. Soon enough, he could see something in the distance. "W-we're here..." Pulling the handler towards himself, he lifted the nose and landed it a little bit more roughly than he was aiming to, making the shit shake somewhat more than needed. "Sorry!" He looked through the corner of his eyes at her, not knowing what to expect.

"Never apologize." she told the young smuggler. She turned her head to him, "Once more I will give you a choice, you can either leave, and I will then have a wonderful pleasure of hunting you and killing you, or, " she gave an eyebrow raise and leaned in, "or you can become my pupil."

Talath leaned against his seat as she leaned in. Is sixth sense warned him about her, she was dangerous... It would not be pleasant to have her hunting him down. But she presented him with two choices: run and live a life curled in fear looking over his shoulder, or stay here and learn from her. With what he had seen, she wasn't properly pleasant, but she beamed a sensation of... power! Like she could do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. Deep inside him, hiding under the fear, was the will to follow her.

"I... I'll stay,Master."

She had what he thought to be a Jedi weapon; if so, this could be he was to be trained as a Jedi, though in his mind Jedi weren't like this. He thought they were supposed to be good and all that mambo; what was this one up to?

The lady grinned, "That's what I thought you would say."

Lalita stood and exited the ship with her new acolyte, "You made a wise decision, but the next task will be are you strong enough to survive?" she asked rhetorically. They walked through dark halls, they were only dimly lite but to any stranger it gave off intimidation and discomfort. Others passed them only with receiving dirty, threatening looks.

They approached a pair of double stone doors. Lalita gave a flicker of her wrist and they shot open to reveal a training room. As soon as they entered the doors shut behind them and Lalita turned to her pupil.

"I am Lalita Tune, a Crusader of the Bogan." she waited for the pupil to introduce himself.

Talath followed her close, but not too close. He gave a small spacing between himself and the woman; he just didn't know what to expect. Asking him if he would be strong enough to survive the next stage made his stomach start to contract slightly and he began to experience a certain discomfort as he walked through these dark halls, and anyone they met were not pleasant faces.

Upon arriving to the room, the woman open and closed doors without even touching them! What was this? He looked around as the door closed behind him without anyone touching it, then faced his new Master.

"My name is Talath Callat. I am... was, a smuggler."

He looked at Lalita with his narrow eyes, his hairless eye brows closing together in doubt as he faced the being in front of him as he experienced, again, the sensation of fear on his stomach.

"Talath. I'm sure your mind is swirling with questions. So sit." she motioned as she sat on her knees on the stone floor, "You, Talath have a noticable connection to the Force. That is why we were able to find one another, I'm sure you have instances where odd occurances have happen when you were scared, angry, and even excited. The Force is life, it is death, it is all that makes us who we are, to connect everyone and everything. However there are those who have a much stronger connection to the Force than others." she explained.

Looking at Lalita, he nodded as he got on his knees, then sitting on his heels, with his upper hands on his knees and his lower hands resting on the upper thighs near the waist. As Lalita spoke of the Force, Talath could relate to what she said; he did remember certain times where his hunches and gut feelings had saved and helped him. His worried frown changed into a thinking face, as his left upper hand rose to his mouth as he gave these words some thought.

He then looked back up to Master Lalita, his eyes now expressing somewhat curiosity, despite fear still lurking deep down. "So... I have a connection to the Force?..." Upon the comment about some being stronger within the Force than others, his hairless eye brows rose again. "So... how does that affect them? They're stronger? More powerful?"

"Only if its channeled correctly, only if they have knowledge about it. Practice." she explained, "You may have heard of the Jedi. We are not the Jedi. We were built upon from former Jedi who realized, if we take what is feared, we can become ever more powerful, your weaknesses is your strength."

Lalita's words sounded like music to his hears, mainly the last sentence. He was aware he was weak and fearful, and to turn that into strength was something quite appealing. He had heard of Jedi, though he never met one himself. "Aren't Jedi supposed to be the good guys?" He spoke without thinking, and soon he realized that he made it sound like Lalita was part a "bad guy", in a way. "I mean -- I'm sorry, Master Lalita!"His back straighten up, his eyes frightfully widening softly in fear of the consequence of his words.

Lalita didn't get angry, just an annoyance rose in her voice, "Because they are the Republic's heroes?" she asked outloud, "Because they defend the weak and bring justice to those who wronged?"

"Who gave them the right to judge as such. They are tools. They claim to have overcome ignorance, but I highly disagree and in time you will agree too." her words grew with more intensity and resentment. Talath could sense a pulse coming from the woman and with not a moments too soon an illuminator crushed and flickered out.

"Our purpose is to bring the truth, the destruction of the Jedi, and let the galaxy rule in choas as so it belongs." she explained.

Talath's breathing caught up speed as Lalita started to beam off a wicked aura... it would have made the hair on the back of his neck curl up, if he had any hair, that is. There was a light flicker as he heard a crushing sound that made the light flicker off. He looked around, his head tails zooming up towards it. He then face Lalita again; there was some sense in her words. No one had the right to judge anyone, and the Jedi were not superior to others. This place had a nasty aura about it, and it was starting to get to Talath.

"I think I'm starting to see what you mean, Master Lalita..."

It was true. The Galaxy did seem to feed on Chaos; most of his life all he saw was Chaos, if you see it from a certain perspective. Talath, slowly but surely, seemed to begin to grasp the concept...

"I am glad. You don't want me to re-explain everything I just said." she threatened.

"Our code: There is no peace, there is only suffering; there is no knowledge, there is only instinct; There has never been serenity, only passion; There isn't harmony in the galaxy, only chaos; and finally, there isn't life, only death." Lalita looked at her apprentice, "Later I will ask you what it means to you. But for now, tell me, what are your weaknesses?" she asked.

"What are my weaknesses?" Talath chuckled nervously for the first time, a clear sign of irony or even sarcasm painted across his face and words. He didn't even give much thought to the words as he spoke, his voice slightly less shaky and with a tender note of anger, as he spoke up what he felt. "You mean, aside from these thin and frail limbs? Aside from the fact that I can't protect myself? That I'm too weak to even be considered as part of the landing team for my former crew!?" He seemed to grow angry as he spoke; he was starting to blame his weaknesses on the others, but he was also angry at himself for being this way. "Aside from curling in fear whenever something is wrong, or whenever my gut tells me to duck? Which I, of course, obey blindly, not bothering to stand up for myself?"

He paused, breathing in while closing his eyes. "I am a big pile of weaknesses, Master. I'm sorry... but you picked a freak for pupil. If I had a defined race, I'd be a disgrace to it."

Lalita's lip curled into a sinister smile. She could feel the Force hum off the young creature. "Then if you consider yourself as such weak, then true I have made a mistake and will have to kill you now." she stood to her feet only to make her knee contact Talath's chin as she came up. It was a powerful enough kick that would stun the pupil. She waited to see how he would react.

As Lalita spoke and rose, Talath's senses seemed to ring, but he couldn't move fast enough to dodge the incomming knee which connected to his chin. He did, however, take half a step behind, and it kinda helped; the motion backwards took in most of the kick. But he was still sent across the room, landing on his back violently; getting to his feet, he looked astonished at Lalita. "K.. Kill me!?" Again he started to fear... This woman might as well kill him... "J-just 'cuz I'm weak?..." Fear started to pulse, but even more than that, hate started to fill his mind; he was going to meet his demise because he was a weakling. "And you curse the Jedi 'cuz they judge people? Yo-you're no different!" The last few words came somewhat like an howl, as the last drop of hatred beat with his heart. He was still crouched, hiw arms waving as he regained balance and took another step or two in the opposite direction of Lalita.

"You told me you were weak, now its fact, not judgement." she walked quickly up to him and sent a fist to his gut, "C'mon, you're making this too easy, to weak to fight back even?" she laughed.

Talath's mind was racing... this time, as she sped to him and fisted his stomach, he got the same kind of warning... that feeling that had always warned him... and she could really hit, this punch took off the oxygen from his lungs... but upon her last comment, Talath had had enough! Grabbing her fist with his lower arms and clinging to them with all the strength he had, his other two arms zoomed up and flew, clinging fists, aiming right towards the face of his attacker, his face twisted in anger.

Lalita felt a burst of anger from the kid, followed by his own reaction. The woman threw up a force shield to protect her face.

"Good." she wanted to see more. The stone floor shook beneath their feet as she telekinetically lifted the large stone floor blocks from under the pupils feet to throw him off balance.

This woman had so many tricks up her sleeve! First off, his fists didn't connect even though she was not touching them nor dodging; then, out of the blue, the stone beneath him started to crack and rise up, which made his legs tremble slightly as his center of gravity was tempered with. Releasing her arm, he jumped backwards, getting ready for some sort of assault; as he did this, he started to gain more and more a stronger pulse in the Force, as if this was finally... awakening him.
