I don't know why, but Nevermore, your part in the discussion of this character seems completely unneeded to me.

Probably because I'm summarizing what Denzein is trying to tell you and you are trying to justify what he has already explained as impossible.

Spoof characters are fun and all, but is it that hard to throw in a few differences so that it's a "tribute" not a "clone"?

I mean seriously you could at least turn him into a test tube abomination or something.

In a word: no.

This.

Isolated squibs? The character and his family live on Skor II

I'm going to assume that's a homeworld or something because I haven't the time to check. If it is and the population is large then you're talking about changing a large part of the squib population in order for you to wrangle a single (frankly bad) character idea.

Also natural selection would take millions of years to do anything in a population large enough to avoid the dangers of inbreeding, and even then it would never be quite so spectacular as to allow squibs to roll about at the speed of sound (by that I mean there has never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever been any evolutionary quirk has ever produced results to fantastic).

Basically there is no way that this character can run at that speed (or anything remotely near it) for any reason pertaining to mutation or natural selection. You would be changing the Squib species as a whole in order to implement it.

I meant that they were unneeded because none of your previous comments before were generally helpfully.

Other than that, I have put in a few differences. His personality, his race, his appearance. I just didn't change anything specifically note worth of sonic the hedgehog.

Edit: Maybe something with the shoes and gloves he wears.

Well if you want me to be helpful I could up a critique of the entire character, but I will tell you that you probably wouldn't like what I have to say (even if I present it in a manner that is not intentionally offensive).

Guys obviously a new roleplayer to the site, he might not be handling it well, but you dont have to give him shit for attempting at a fanfiction character.

My 2 cents is to have him Force apt, scratch the "true" Sonic idea and keep key principles of the little blue furball. If he can move at 4x or 3x the speed of a normal being that'd be insanely impressive. I'd go for 2x to make it realistic and perhaps have him hone in on his ability to use the Force and Force Speed more in particular.

To branch off that perhaps he could have some sort of low-gravity thruster boots of some sort. Could make him float and thrust while he lets his energy replenish or use them both to coincide.

I think making him just like Sonic is a lame idea personally. The idea of a speedy rodent is kind of neat as a patronage to him, but if you're just trying to make a star wars Sonic for shits and giggles, scrap the idea and do something you can work at and help improve the RP as a whole.

If he was a Republic spy or Hutt operative it could add to his story, if he's quicker than most makes for an easy escape, especially against non-Force sensitives and the like.

I'm not going to give him shit. I'm telling him that he knows I'm not a fan of the character so if he wants me to read it over and try to help him out with it he might not agree with some of the things I say.

Nevermore now owes me five dollars... he will know why. Either way, I say make him more shadow like instead of sonic.

Well alright.

I like the character's name (though it kind of sounds like something that would fit in with an original character rather than a tribute). I think you should up the age if you plan to use him frequently but otherwise it seems fine. 3'3" is insanely short and I'm pretty sure that 70 pounds is unreasonably overweight for someone of that height (considering there are people two feet taller than him that weigh that much, anorexic or not) that moves at 'supersonic' speeds.

The skill is really my gripe. Indestructible energy barriers, "super speed" (which is really not a description at all since "super speed" can be 30 mph or mach 4), and something about shoes that can withstand intense friction. Whether or not you realized it, the character is extremely overpowered - being able to move that fast means that even if he doesn't have the body mass to pack power in his punches (which are irrelevant anyway since he can just grab a gun or a lightsaber and go to town), moving at that speed and hitting something is still going to be a one hit KO.

A pebble moving at mach 1 would rip through a persons body. A person moving at mach 1 would either liquefy them or turn their insides into jelly. In one-on-one combat, there are so few defenses for that that anyone below Council level would have a hard time justifying the ability to react, much less put up more than a makeshift defense.

Whether or not you're cheap and willing to abuse that doesn't matter. If you're allowed to have it, another person who IS cheap will and inevitably when they use it in that respect an argument will break out. It's much easier to stop things like that from happening at all rather than wait until after the fact.

Little quip of mine: if I had abilities like that at 15 I would undoubtedly be arrogant, and the Squibs are a naturally coveting species, but its not really important.

Besides that, the history gives a very 'cartoonish' feel, but considering the inspiration that's not really a bad thing.

So yeah, the real problem is the super speed.

3'3" is the average height of the species and sonic's height. 70 lbs is Sonic's weight... I was thinking that there maybe something different with how their bmi works so that's how I did that. Also didn't I take supersonic speed out a while ago?

Most guns are half my character's weight and ineffective to use with him as thus. He isn't good with a lightsaber either. It would also be extremely out of character. Also he has to accelerate to the speed which leaves plenty of time to get him. Everyone here has played sonic 1, right? Also turns are much harder.

Either way I took out the super sonic speed and just made it a bluff. Thanks for the feed back, though.

You should make some of his backstory be that hes a swoop racer that's "Supersonic Speeds" he's never lost type thing.

That would be awesome. Or maybe I can make him more shadow esque with some rocket boots. Thanks for the ideas.

I have a question, Would Masters be able to move in a blur for a certain period of time, If they have focused on Force Speed Mainly?

I have an Idea, why not make him go as fast as, Rocket? Or is that to fast?
