Actually, he got you. You just called out one weakness out of the several weaknesses that he stated. Seriously, while charisma may not do anything, wisdom, intelligence, constitution, and whatever those personality ones were certainly cover the strength and speed.

All in all, I think he has a valid point. Compared to Jerek's character, this one is actually quite more powerful.

No they aren't. A valid weakness to counteract a physical perk is physical, not mental. "He's not very bright" is not a valid weakness. The exception would be if he had a serious mental handicap of some sort that would keep him from being able to utilize his strength and speed to full advantage.

The Cathar almost became extinct by the attack on their homeworld by the Mandalorians. Maybe the Hutts or Taung do that to some planet we adopt as the Lamia homeworld (since I do believe we are not allowed to create planets) as to explain the rarity.

During construction of the Witch of Endor, I was considering Battle Meditation as one of her abilities (which she honed during her stay on Endor), though took it out during the second draft. I'm now thinking of putting it back in but not wanting to overpower the Witch. Do you think her also having Battle Meditation would make her too powerful?

The difference is that Cathars have been represented in various media and energy vampires are an overpowered species from one Clone Wars comic with one individual representing their existence. They turn people into zombies, have claws, superior senses and inhuman strength and speed. They can heal themselves by biting people.

That stinks. I've been having so much fun with them too. And in my defense, I've worked to counter these advantages. Personally, I don't care about the inhuman strength and speed (nor zombification but it's amusing so I'd have to say I'm split about that). The main reason I chose energy vampires is because of the length of their lives and the ability to heal themselves.
Gen'dai are more OP than energy vampires. One little muscle can regenerate the beast.

This is just my opinion, but I think it's fine when 1 or 2 people have characters from some almost unknown species. But then they start making 2nd and 3rd characters, and other people catch on and make their own, and the cycle continues.

It very quickly ruins the feel of a species as 'unique'.

I don't like it. Battle Meditation doesn't work in Free-Form RP and just opens up a huge can of worms.

That does not invalidate Doomsday's point. In combat scenarios, the most physically capable person has an advantage. Combine training into the equation and you have a very formidable foe. And intelligence does not affect training, seeing as a dog can be trained for a variety of purposes. That is an example, not an insult. The statement is simply to avoid misunderstanding.

I mean now people who are phyiscally strong enough to put up a melee are to be called overpowered and such? That is actually a load of bs. The stats are supposed to be balanced, if I am as unintelligent as I am super strong then you shouldn't be having very many problems trying to kill me if you are equally balanced. That is just flat out stupid that just because a character is good at combat, than he is overpowered. What do you guys just go "**** the soldier he's overpowered because he can the fight the best" when playing kotor?

Yes, poisoning and sniping work so well in a cramped space in a freakin' battlefield!

Your posts are rarely criticism, and instead generally bashings that provide little help or whining of inequality.
