Mars, this is just me, but it will be nice if you can link the threads in which the said PC's were defeated under your 'Spoiler: PC's Defeated' thingie. Some of us *looks to herself* like to read random characters profiles/threads.

Varek's armor is of Phrik construction which renders lightsabers and energy based weapons far less effective against it. HOWEVER, there are gaps in this armor. The knees, elbows, back of the legs, sides of the neck, armpit and inner groin are all without ability to stop any form of lightsaber strike. Additionally. the back of his armor, thigh plates and bicep plates are all weaker and unable to absorb a full force lightsaber blow, though they can survive a glance relatively well. The front of the chestpiece, the bracers, gauntlets, shin-plates/boots are the areas of the highest phrikite concentration and would require a few saber blows to break down. However, that's not the only way they can be broken. As with any armor, blunt force trauma wrecks havoc on the target so weapons that utilize that are very effective.
So yeah, that's his armor in a nutshell.

Honestly speaking dude, it's not really enough of a nerf for me personally. I'll gladly defer to someone else if need be, but it seems like you've still got about an 80% energy immunity going on, aside from the back, which would still take a direct hit to do damage. I'm going to quote a post Sreeya posted elsewhere regarding armour - bits of it won't be relevant, but I feel the meat of the argument is important.
Anyway, my suggestion is to have the weaker segments of armour made of materials that aren't resistant to energy damage or made of a material like Phrik. As I said though, if you disagree I'm more then happy to get a second opinion on the matter.

I just detailed all the gaps of the armor, which is what one should be aiming for anyway. Aside from that, the bicep, thighs and his back would all be penetrate by anything more than a glancing blow. It's durable armor but far from without weakness. That's aside from the fact that he wears no helmet at all. The very admin you quoted said it was fine.

No, the blueprint will do just fine :P
I mean as OPPOSED as I am to his armor, the Empire DOES currently possess what little Phrik is left in the galaxy I believe. That is IF Palpatine didn't make his mining campaign for the two materials that make Phrik bleed into the northern side of the Galaxy.
