Goddess damn it, @Prudence. You had to make a character that had nearly the exact same power premise as one I thought up months ago. *Sigh* Back to the drawing board...

@Green Ranger do we need to worry about your guy going all hulk on us like lack of control over himself. But it is really interesting and cool though don't see how TK comes from a changing biology but definitely really cool.

So many teleporters.
I thought I could cover that aspect of the team so everyone else could focus on other useful mutant powers...
Every team needs one, no team needs more than two, so I'll bow out to make room for someone else with non-redundant abilities.

@+SpaceJesus+ your character looks great but I just have a problem with how powerful he is, like he can be more powerful than Jean Grey when she was possessed by the Phoenix force. If everyone else is fine with your character I will be fine just seemed a bit OP in my opinion.

I'll write up my character soon. She'll be a mute, can't speak. But she gains the properties and powers of whatever she eats. Rocks, wood, animals, etc.

... And maybe if she eats someone she gets their powers. She's a weird one.

@+SpaceJesus+ my main problem is that your character can do a lot of things and is actually unkillable, or at least that is what it seems. My suggestion is you can keep the gravitational manipulation, but get rid of the whole controling over black holes, and make it so he can actually be killed like the rest of us. Maybe harder an that's fine but still able to be killed even if it needs to be a specific thing that does it

Well, the extreme amount of teleporters doesn't necessarily mean someone with just that one power is irrelevant. It could mean that one character is just teleportation taken to its furthest extreme (as in like teleporting to three different places in half a second). One power milked for all its worth can surpass a whole array of them.

While I'm not sure he could ever be that powerful, yeah, I suppose he is a quite strong. I was planning on him being somewhere along magneto level by the end of the RP. Though if we don't have Jean Grey he could kind of fill in her place in the powerhouse spot on the team. However, if you guys see a place where I need to nerf him I'll go ahead. This is a team after all ;)

The whole "non killable" thing is part of his concept, that his physical form isn't really him. My main problem with how to kill him is, how exactly do you kill a black hole? I can get rid of the mini black hole things though for now

@+SpaceJesus+ i would argue that he is already magneto level, being unkillable is already a big thing but now he has a lot of powers. Yea if you can get rid of the mini black holes thing will help. But maybe limit how much he can do at one time.

So many teleporters.

I would just like to point out that I am the first teleporter on there. ;) And I made sure that he had thoroughly limited abilities, especially in early years. IF you would like me to nerf him further that would be okay I guess, but I feel like he is okay with limitations of where he can go as well as how often he can do it. I like the idea of markers that won't allow him to travel anywhere but to those. I do intend to take him to the maximum level that teleportation can reach while still keeping him in those boundaries though. He will always have markers, and he will always have an energy cap. I do intend to take him to a high high level with teleporting that will allow him to teleport multiple times within a very very short period however. If you see any problems with this then please let me know!

EDIT: I AM SORRY, Kibi. I definitely didn't see you post something saying you intended to do a teleporter, and I had already written up a character with that power from an old RP I did on a different website. If you would like me to back out of the teleporter role I can. It is only fair since you joined the thread first and you mentioned the teleporter role outside the character profiles thread. I didn't see that, all I saw was the one about Franklin Richards, and I saw that you had pictures of Blink and some other guy but I figured that the differences were great enough that Blink could be something that would work.

@+SpaceJesus+ it really doesn't matter only @Johnnysaurus Rex opinions matter so for now mate lates wait for him to reply and comment on if your character is too powerful or not. Honestly it's not about having too much power but no real way of stopping him, and arguably no weakness like he can do almost everything without any help.

But that's just my opinion

Feel free to make another character. As per having three teleporters there is no reason we can't so I don't want to feel like people HAVE to change.

If people drop out then slots will open. So if you see that someone has left the RP then double check with them and then message me and we can bring you in.

Weighing in:

1) On being a black hole: I like it. Reminds me a lot of Xorn whose mutation was he had a star for a head. So I take no issue with the concept of it whatsoever and I like, as you said, that we have a mutant who isn't pretty.

2) On powers: I can agree that down the road, if we ever get there, these powers are more acceptable. I'd hoped everyone was more ambitious with their powers and would actually suggest that a couple of you could up their powers a bit more. That being said I'd like for you to maybe make it more clear what he can do right now. I in no way want this next thing I am about to say be a interpreted as me telling you how to make your character but I would like to make a suggestion on what I think is fine and everyone else can comment on that and of course you can let me know how you feel.

Black Hole Physiology: I wouldn't change anything here really. As I said I love the concept of his powers. They are creative, make for an interesting character to play, and can provide interesting story opportunities. I'd say he has a no touching policy. It doesn't mean death as I assume he has some semblance of control thanks to tech and training, but one mistake on his part and a hug can turn into someone being crushed into a singularity and gone forever. Which feeds into his isolation and distance from other people. That and for now I could see the present danger of him losing control and full becoming an uncontained black hole. As you said he's been trained by Xavier and Grey (Which means he's been around for a bit. I should really make a timeline to show some events in out new dimension like the time Jean Grey died.) and the tech helps.

Gravity Manipulation: I like it in the sense it can effectively function as telekinesis. Remote singularities as a ranged attack also works for me, but nerfed to more Mass Effect levels. Gravitationally it pulls foes onto a single point and may damage them, but doesn't suck them in.

Dimension Hopping: I'd personally nix this. Mainly because of personal taste of having too many teleporters and it just seems a bit much for a character who I think is already well rounded.

3) On character death: I like that you have that his body can be destroyed and reformed, just like the dimension thing I am not so keen on him just existing somewhere else. Though in terms of the RP I'd have to suggest that part about reforming over time means he'd essentially be dead for the course of multiple threads if not the entire RP. Per character death I would promote members actually being open to their character's dying. A character dying in this RP DOES NOT mean you are out. You can make a new character or adapt an existing X-Men character just as you could at the beginning of the RP.


So those are just my thoughts. As I said I will work on a rough timeline of our dimension and am open to suggestions you'd like to see. As an example of things that would be different (Per your majority approval of course) is a Wolverine more aligned with Old Man Logan, a different line up in the "Second" team of X-Men, and some characters having different histories (Like the version of Mimic I posted). As always suggestions welcome.

And on a final note. I would like this to be a more combined effort. While, if necessary, I will try to cast a deciding vote on things I don't want people to feel like it is either "My Way Or The Highway". This is OUR RP. Not just mine.
