A train heist? Woot woot! Pun intended.

Ruus'all hadn't ever been on a train heist before and if he weren't a Jedi Knight, he would've definitely added it to his bucket list of things to do before his untimely demise. Better yet, he was taking on this endeavor with none other than Zaia Krodas! This day just kept getting better and better! He was about to hijack a train, steal all of the transported weapons, most likely throw down with bad guys, all of which with the person he loved.

The Mando-Jedi was waiting in an alleyway garbed in his Mandalorian attire for his companion as well as the Five Syndicate contact that was supposed to be helping them. Ruus was not partial to criminals in the slightest, but if his Alor trusted this guy, then so would he. However, most of the Solus Clan would argue that Kotii is no Alor and the word was that those heretics had brought a new fake-Alor to take Kotii's place. Dick heads. The greenie didn't fight for it. He didn't earn it. Just like the Mand'Alor. He claimed a position of power that he had no right to. The Darksaber was still Kad who knows where and the idiotic Ordo couldn't even claim the Mask of the Mand'Alor either- or even just his beskad!

Ruus'all Solus was excited to get this job going so he could prove that those meager Mandos were nothing more than whiny little brats who throw tantrums when they don't get their way.

The last time Zaia had done what could have been considered a train heist, it had been for some credits. Maybe it had done a little bit of good for the galaxy as she and the vods had been targeting Pykes, and it was no secret that they were among the more brutal syndicates. But today’s heist would mean so much more for the cause she was fighting for now. If she and the others were to stand up against the Sith and the grip they now held over their people, they would need weapons. This was the perfect chance to get just that, even if it meant working with criminals for the time being.

Zaia was a couple minutes early for the meeting, though as she approached the meeting point, she saw that Ruus’all had arrived even earlier. Just seeing him again now lifted her spirits, and she was glad that she would be fighting alongside him this time instead of against… even if she had beaten him that time.

Her helmet on, Ruus wouldn’t be able to see the smile on her face as she approached. Giving him a nod in greeting, she stood at his side as she joined him in waiting for their contact to show up.

Talon eyed the group down below at their meeting place. It really was much more comfortable on the roof, away from...people. Too much energy, too much excitement. He was here to get the job done and get out, not make friends. Regardless, now or never, and a Vod was a Vod.

He took his time walking to the far side of the building, sliding down a pipe to ground level. He grunted as he almost fell backwards, the awkward weight of the jetpack throwing him off balance. He had forsaken his droid arm for the damned thing; he wasn't getting any success in a train heist without one.

He still wasn't the best at using the jetpack. It was more his style to sit back and watch people scramble for cover as he picked them off hundreds of meters away. Nevertheless, his MK sniper rifle was slung over his back; it probably wouldn't get much use this time. Two WESTARs peeked out from his holsters, eyeing the concussion grenades and thermal detonator swinging about nearby.

All he cared about was killing the Sith and any Dar'Manda who chose the Mand'alor over the safety of their clans and their families. If attaining this shipment was the way to bring about such discord, so be it. He was all in. The two ID-Seeker droids nearby hummed in agreement; Talon wasn't sure they could keep up. He took an exasperated breath in and rounded the corner, coming into view of his partners in crime. Now they played the waiting game.

Ruus'all wasn't sure Zaia could tell, but he was smiling pretty big when he laid eyes on her. He felt infinitely more comfortable with doing the mission knowing she would be fighting with him and not against him. So much had happened since Mandallia with the rise of the new Mand'Alor who was nothing more than just a terrorist who led other terrorists. They were giving Mandalorians a bad name, and Ruus'all made it a personal mission of his to win back his people's honor. This train heist would hopefully work to that advantage.

"Glad to see everyone's here." Ruus gave a quick nod of his head toward Talon, a Mando he hadn't had the pleasure of meeting but heard all about this kick-ass Mando and what made him kick-ass. "You two got jetpacks, so one of you is going to fly to the front of the train and the other is going to catch a ride on the back. See if you pull the breaks on those suckers to make the grab easier for the cargo shuttle, which I'll be piloting, by the way. It's some old imperial hauler, so it doesn't got any turbolasers and if we ain't quick, we'll be sitting ducks." He was sure that the entire operation was going to go smoothly, knowing that the entire crew was solely made out of Mandalorians.

"Let's bust some knuckles. Oya!"

When Zaia saw Talon turn the corner, she followed Ruus’all’s example and gave him a nod. She hadn’t met him before, but she was glad that he was here. There weren’t many, even among their own people, who were willing to stand up against the Sith, and she was sure that anyone who had the guts to do it would put up a good fight.

Zaia followed along as Ruus went over the plan. It was somewhat similar to what she’d done before, and she was confident that she would be able to do it again. However, for the sake of getting the job done quickly, she hoped that there wouldn’t be too much opposition to get out of the way.

“Oya!” Zaia smiled. She would never tire of Ruus’all’s enthusiasm. Then she looked in Talon’s direction. “If Ruus is flying… I can handle the front,” she offered. “Unless you have a preference?” I’m happy so long as we get those weapons.

The silver hair was all but devoid of any dark grey let alone black. Now the Devaronian's gentlemanly features was borderline white from his beard to his brows. Only his vermillion skin grew a few shades lighter around the nuckles. The scoundrel was at the controls of a Y-45 armored transport hauler for the purposes of this mission.

The man wasn't alone, and had his copilot Jannesa helping him filling the 2 person roll needed to fly the ship. The man had onboard the tools need to aid the Mandalorians to be boarding the ship. That was going to be the first order of business, making sure that the famed shock troopers were ready to jump onboard a moving train.

The Mandalorians had chosen the nearest town to meet up. He sent a call out to the contact who was leading the squad of bucket-heads. "Friends of Black Hand, this is Pellios Reverence. Sorry for the delay, meet me in Hangar 6 and get onboard. We have a train to catch. I'll fill you in on the details while I fly." Of course if they had brought their own transport they could choose to follow him. Hopefully they hadn't forgotten that Kotii Solus had contacted him specifically for the purpose of conducting this job with his comrades. It would be absolutely like Mandalorians to just not wait and go in blasters blazing and come out with half the possible take with twice the ammo spent.

Before any of Kotii's associates made it to Pellios's ship, the Mandalorian was already near the hangar bay the Devaronian was landing in. There he approached the arms dealer's ship, openly wearing his bounty hunting beskar'gam. The red and black plates with minor orange detailing might give those in the know an idea of his focus. At least that was what the badger kept on both the literal and figurative surface of his being.

Whilist Pellios was in an armored transport hauler, the Alor in Exile, Kotii Solus had come in one of the house's YV-865 Aurore class freighters. It sat in a neighboring hangar with the Echani's trusted friends. The freighter was better disguised in these parts and could carry quite a bit.

Regardless of the logistics that the man had thought about, the badger also needed to play his own part in these plans. The cargo ramp descended from the cargo hauler and with it came the Devaronian arms dealer and a redheaded accomplice. Behind them also seemed to be an astromech unit of some kind. They had quite the crew. Black Hand was glad to have Atin and Aden onboard the ship as potential air support should things turn sour with these syndicate scoundrels. As long as they held up their end of the deal he had no issue.

<"I'll be joining you."> He said as matter of fact in Huttese. He always imagined himself as some powerful slug or underworld kingpin when speaking like that. The two scoundrels exchanged glances momentarily before shrugging and commenting about it being his credits. If the man had objected to Kotii's tweaking of the plan, Black Hand could always offer to fly the ship himself and even sell the Aurore to the scoundrel. It was probably worth more and out performed the transport hauler anyways. But for this mission they first needed the cargo hauler on the train. They just did not need the scoundrel if he was going to argue. Thankfully he seemed to be relatively accommodating if not a bit grumbly about the update.

The Mandalorian sent a quick message to YV-865 and would wait until the other Mandalorians arrived. They were a long way from home but each of them had come together for this. His mind continued to think about the heist ahead of them. It would be good to work along side each of them and maybe even a new face or helmet would show itself.

@Sicadorito @Charles @pinale going to have Kotii replaces Pellios since they're the character I'm writing now and this is for Kotii's mission pack anyways

Ruus was glad to hear a familiar voice over the commlink. Kotii, despite everything, was always going to be Ruus'all's Alor. Fenyang was nothing more than terrorist who claimed a position he didn't deserve. Where was the Mask of the Mand'Alor? What of the Beskad? This guy came out of nowhere and somehow claimed the spot of Mand'Alor along with the temple on Lothal. Ruus wondered why Kotii hadn't stood up the day of the election that Ruus must have missed. But, the King obviously cared because they wouldn't be robbing a train if they didn't.

"Hear you loud and clear, Alor." Ruus said over his own com. After making his way into the hangar, Ruus got a good look at the freighter they would be using. "Not gonna brag, but I'm pretty sure I'm the best pilot here. Mind if I fly?" The Mando-Jedi teased. In all honesty, Ruus'all had never seen Kotii fly, but he had seen the guy in action and knew what he was capable of. So maybe Kotii was as amazing a pilot as he was a warrior.

Pellios was right— if they were going to catch the train in time, they would have to meet up with the rest of the team soon. Zaia headed in the direction of the hangar, and when she saw Kotii inside with the others, she gave him a nod in greeting as she came to a stop beside them.

“Good to see you again.” The man was someone she respected quite a bit, despite her never having seen him in combat as of yet. However, she had a feeling that would change today, as the train was bound to have armed guards. Whatever would happen, she was glad that she would be able to fight alongside him and other Mandalorians who stood up for the cause.

As for who would be flying the ship, Zaia didn’t know the skills of either Ruus’all or Kotii, so she couldn’t say anything about that. She would leave the two to figure it out before saying, “I’m ready to go when you are. Those weapons are waiting for us.”

Kotii nodded towards the friendly appearance of Ruus'all. The Jedi Knight and Mandalorian would get a nod from Kotii along with a reply. "Be my guest." Pellios and his crew along with the badger could crew the ship and make certain nothing went wrong for Zaia and himself.

<"We have some backup nearby if need be."> He said so everyone except the Devaronian hear. Even if the man did, he wouldn't be able to do much with the information without revealing he was a double crosser. But the Alor in Exile had confidence that Captain Reverence delivered on his end of the deal regardless.

"Su cuy'gar, vod." He greeted Zaia proudly. The Krodas warrior had stuck by her views and been a reliable Mandalorian. Kotii had not worked with Zaia in particular extensively but now was as good a time as any. With a confident smile under his helmet, he gave the command to take off.

Minutes would pass as the transport hauler left the capital city of Molavar in the rear view. It sped over the desert terrain as it became apparent there might be a bit more time until they actually arrived at the train. It was just the calm before the storm that was filled with anticipation.

Kotii made certain his equipment was ready. Standing behind the cockpit and near the debarkation ramp, the badger held his grappled gun in his hand for the time being. "There they are!" He heard the scoundrel call back from the scanning terminal so he could still be of use.

Sure enough, ahead of them the horizon had shifted from sands to snow capped mountains. The metallic line in the distance that was sandwiched by what looked like two boxy caterpillars. "They're increasing speed. I think they've seen us."

Kotii growled under his helmet. "Of course." He did not sound too surprised. "Well speed up. We've got to catch them." He encouraged. The transport accelerated what it had left to close the distance. The train crew would have noticed them sooner or later. But they did not have even the first cable attached. "It's never easy." A grin returned to his hidden expression as the butterflies continued to stir in his stomach. "OYA! Let's hunt!"

Boarding the transport with the others, Zaia let the others take the helm of the ship and opted to stand next to Kotii on the ramp. Once the man gave the order for takeoff, she would look outside as they left Molavar and toward their target. Kotii wasn’t the only one who felt the anticipation in the air— Zaia had her jetpack, vibroblades, and blasters ready. Only for now, she had a grappling gun like Kotii instead of her usual ones.

As they approached the mountains, she heard Pellios say that the train was speeding up. Cursing inwardly at the news, she glanced at Kotii to see what he had to say, relieved when he ordered the pilot to speed up.

“We’ll catch them,” she muttered half to herself, holding onto her grappling gun more tightly and steadied herself as the ship lurched forward to begin closing the distance between them and the train. At Kotii’s remark, Zaia grinned and shook her head. “It never is!”

The roaring of the train that was now below them grew louder as they neared it, and when the debarkation ramp hissed and began to lower, Zaia switched over to comms and grinned as she readied herself for the next step.

“Your call, Alor!”

Kotii clenched his grapple launcher in his blacked gloved hands. The door of the Y-45 transport hauler was open to the whirling sky outside. With both Mandalorians eager to get started, he took the first step which was more of a jump.

Black Hand free fell through the air for a heartbeat before he activated his jetboots. The thrust sent him hurtling forwards over the speeding train which wound its way through the snowy mountains. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel powerful. Maybe more importantly, Kotii felt alive. The exhilaration of a hunt made him feel closer to his heritage, to the core everything.

The armor clad warrior veered rapidly towards the nearest metallic segment of the train. In another smooth motion his hand-held grapple launcher fired. The cord twirled out rapidly and unspooled before the tip impacted on the exterior of the train and hooking the worm like vehicle. With a swift second tap of the trigger the half-echani began reeling himself in. The ex Solus'Alor knew what to expect and had prepared with a harness to distribute his weight evenly so it did not almost dislocate his shoulder in the process.

Chasing down a great beast was something his ancestors had done. They had ridden the great Mythosaur and monsters like the basilisk. The nearest Kotii had come to something like that he could remember was rancors and arkanian dragons. But more likely than that, and perhaps a greater feat for him to accomplish, would be to take this train.

Perhaps the forgotten gods of Mandalore thought him too ambitious. Or perhaps Hod Ha'ran was having a laugh because two hatches opened up on the back of the train. Exiting these hatches were two train guards wearing matching helmets and blast vests. The thing that Kotii first noticed however was the fact that they were each wielding light repeaters. The length of the blaster rifle was clear even at this distance.

Behind the engine car at the very front of the train was a laser turret. It had begun rotating backwards since the transport had started its descent. The the Mandalorians had yet to even begin affixing the cable attachments for the transport hauler when they opened fire.

Laser cannon fire streaked into the sky. One blast glanced off the hull of the Y-45. It was going to be difficult for the transport to stay close with that weapon emplacement still active. Daring to be a fool or foolishly daring, Kotii remained anchored to the outer hull of the train car while the turret tried to shoot their ride out of the air. The twin light repeaters spewed red bolts behind them nearly hitting the badger who was only holding on thanks to the grapple hook.

Reaching over his shoulder and unholstering his R-799 micro missile pistol, he felt two blaster bolts ping off his durasteel shoulder plates. Kotii fired twice in response. The silent firing of the hand held weapon would be followed by small bloody explosions as the munitions detonated in the face of each guard. gory stumps for necks were heads used to be were all that was left. The Mandalorian would use the rest of the ammo in his magazine to disable the laser cannon and stop it from firing any more. The two open hatches where the guards had begun exiting remained open as the corpses fell back down into the interior of the train car and out of sight. No doubt there were more enemies inside but maybe they would think twice about coming out to meet the armor clad assaulters.

Zaia didn’t waste a second following Kotii after the Alor jumped off the ramp. Immediately she felt the sensation of falling, and as soon as she did her jetpack let out a roar of flames to break it. Now her sights were set on the train that was rapidly speeding by underneath.

A grappling hook wound its way around a horizontal metal bar on the roof of the metal snake, and with the aid of her jetpack as well as her harness, Zaia landed on top just in time to see two hatches opening near Kotii. She glanced up to see laser cannon fire directed at their transport, and she got out one of her blasters to shoot. But by the time she’d turned to deal with the two men who had come out of the hatches, there was nothing left of them but two bloody corpses. The laser cannon too had been deactivated, judging from the sound of an explosion combined with the lack of fire toward their transport. Kotii certainly knew what he was doing.

She made her way toward one of the hatches, careful not to lose her balance as she quickly peered inside. If there were others, it was better to clear them out early. She was met immediately with the face of another guard looking up, and as he raised his pistol to fire, she shot the weapon out of his hand before plugging his head with a bolt. Looking over at the other hatch, she made sure no one was coming out again before giving Kotii a nod to let him know that it was all clear.

More blaster fire from Zaia told Kotii she was following through. But Kotii had landed a bit further away from the open hatches and would need to get closer before he could board. His visor looked ahead to gaze at the engine car. Maybe if he could get inside, they could even steal more than just on container full of weapons.

Smoke trailed from the damaged turret as the vehicle sped through the cold reaches of the northern planetary region. Flurries of snow mixed with dust and flames and Kotii was glad to have a helmet on keeping the wind at bay. The snaking train twisted as the rail-track rotated at an angle forcing the Mandalorian to reestablish his grip on a corner of the hull and think about reaching for his grapple cable. The bottom treds of his boots slid momentarily before once again gripping and securing the Solus from being thrown.

Kotii looked overhead as the transport ship began getting back into position. The laser cannon fire had forced it to evasively manuever, if only for a moment. The high altitude and pointed peaks were going to make it hard enough as it was without anti-air weaponry going off.

One of the heavy crane cables swung close as the walker transport neared. "OSIK!" He swore as managed to duck out of the way. Reaching out, he snagged a finger and then wrapped his hand around the end cable before it went too far. As quickly as he could he began affixing the cable end to the secure point on the side of the container. Maybe he should have had Aden and Atin come along.

"These bloody cables are harder to affix than I thought." He growled through gritted teeth. "I could use some help down here!" His head rotated to look up into the mostly plexi-glass cockpit of the transport. Inside he could see the Devaronian at the controls and Ruusus'all. But neither of them were leaving the ship at this point. Kotii would keep working on them, hoping Zaia would take care of any attackers that came out of the container or maybe even start tearing her way through the inside if possible. If nothing else, they would at least get a whole car's worth of weaponry.

"We have contacts, Mandalorians." The voice of the aged devaronian came over the commlink. He sounded worried. "Fast, small craft. Probably a swoop gang...if we're lucky. I hope you're ready." It sounded like they were coming in quickly. Even Kotii could hear the echo of loud engines shriek through the canyon walls. He had nothing to say, all he could do was work as quickly as possible and so the transport could leave. Holstering his weapon, the badger tapped a control on his wrist and reconnected himself to Aden and Atin on the light freighter. "Please tell me you're close by."

Seeing as Kotii was still working on getting the cables attached, Zaia decided that she would be of more help if she went inside the cart and cleared it out for certain. With the cables, she doubted that there was much she could do from where she was.

Checking again to make sure the hatch was clear, she climbed down two rungs of the ladder. With less wind here, it would be a more suitable spot to remove her harness. Keeping one hand on the ladder, she used her other to undo the knots and clips. Within a couple seconds, the harness was loose enough for her to get out of and she landed with a soft thump on the floor of the train car.

Zaia looked around briefly to find eight stacks against the wall, each being a pair of crates tied together with two straps of what looked like leather. A quick shake of one and dull metallic clanking inside told her that these were indeed weapons.

Just as she was about to go out and ask Kotii if he needed any help, whatever that would entail, the door to the cart suddenly clanged open. Zaia whipped out her blasters. Wind rushed into the car when four guards carrying blaster pistols came in, and they didn’t look happy when they saw the dead men on the floor. However, they didn’t make any move to shoot just yet.

“You don’t have to end up like them,” she warned, but it only seemed to anger them more. When one guard raised her blaster, Zaia shot it out of her hand. “Last chance.”

The Alor in Exile worked as quickly as his dexterous hands could manage. Aden would take a moment to respond and then reply. "Yeah we're close, we're close." He assured them. "Gah hurry...please" He growled as he struggled with the anchor. Looking ahead he saw Zaia had dropped into the train car, securing its interior and keeping any enemies from coming back out. The industrial grade cables and mechanisms needed a fair amount of elbow grease to put into place safely. But the Solus managed to get the last one attached when his left thigh took a shot from the back, just above the knee joint. Kotii let out a sound of surprise and staggered, nearly stumbling off the side of the rolling train car.

His body was still held in the harness attached to his grapple line and helped him steady himself. Whipping his helmet around he heard the roar of a swoop engine as it came into view. Three FC-35 razorfin swoop bikes and the same number of fliknot class swoops were piloted by an array of bandits. The pilots of the fliknots were carrying pistols and just firing from their small arms without any onboard weapons.

Kotii began putting his worst case preperation into action. The car behind their main target was the caboose. It still had some good supplies in it but the one they knew for certain had the ideal arms was the one down below. The same was likely the case for any and all of these train cars. But if the transport stayed it was liable to get shot out of the sky. Kotii set a thermal det charge on the segment behind, which would separate them and Kotii would be able to detach the manual connection at the front of the car. Then the transport would lift it up and away.

Black Hand knew he needed to act fast and hopefully some of Pellios's crew would also shoot back at the enemy. "Zaia! How are we looking down there?" He called to the Krodas clan member to get her status. Depending on how she answered they might have their own new situation to deal with. More blaster bolts impacted on the hull of the metallic wyrm making the Mandalorian seek cover and carried out his plan. With a press of his gauntlet controls the set charge exploded like clock work. The whole train shuddered and even the chasing swoop bikes backed off in surprise. Thankfully no munitions went off. "Get out of here." He said to Pellios. Kotii on the other hand was still on the train. Turning around, he made a mad dash for the open hatch. The <Mandalorian wanted to take the train. The caboose would begin to slow and maybe, yes, the swoop gang would try and scavenge from that morsel rather than continue to tangle with the Mandalorians. If not, the light freighter with more badgers onboard would be arriving in a few moments.

With the guards seemingly not willing to give up, Zaia decided to make the first move by sending a blast of fire directly at them. It wouldn’t hurt them, but when they instinctively lifted their arms to cover their faces, it provided the perfect opportunity for her to shoot the weapons out of their hands and then aim at their torsos. Four men with sizzling holes in their chests slumped to the ground, and Zaia put her pistols back. Just in time, her comms buzzed to life with Kotii’s voice.

“We have the weapons, and the car is secure,” she responded back. When she looked up out of the hatch again, she could hear the sound of blaster bolts ricocheting against the metal, as well as the muffled explosion and the dull clank when the caboose separated from the rest of the train. The force that rattled the train caused her to lose her balance for a second, nearly sending her into a crate, but she soon was able to get a better standing. Now that she thought about it, that didn’t seem to be part of their original strategy. But when did things ever go as planned?

The thought was halfway through her mind when she saw more guards start to swarm in from the car in front of them.

“Actually… we might have a bit of a problem here,” she said to Kotii before a blaster bolt flew directly past her, slamming right into the back wall. She got behind a crate for some cover and fired three shots back, but more were returned. “We’ve got company.”

Whether the swoop gang was thinking twice about fighting Mandalorians, or they were satisfied with getting the trailing caboose car, Kotii was grateful either way. The half dozen vehicles pealed off and did not pursue the walker transport either. One of Pellios's redheaded crew members had kept them at bay and they ceased fire.

The badger had no time to celebrate as he dropped right into a new situation. He was within actual earshot when he heard Zaia's voice come in again over his helmet comlink. The Mandalorian, grapple line still attached to his harness, came into view of the storming number of train guards. It looked like they were sending most of the remaining guards back to move on any 'stranded' stowaways.

First, the man jerked his left arm to prime the wrist flame thrower before leveling it forward into front of the train car. He angled it to push towards and through the door of the car ahead so the heat would wash over any other charging enemies. The guards would think again before running in and give Zaia time to move into a more advantageous position. <"So do they"> He replied with a smile underneath his helmet. He took some care to not accidentally directly ignite any munitions. Thankfully things seemed to be packaged safely.

<"We need to move towards the engine car."> He stated the obvious and let the wrist projecting inferno cycle for a moment. Two guards that dared to breach the room after the blaze were shot by the heavy yellow blaster bolts from Kotii's freshly drawn Blackhand blaster pistol, carried by the same appendage. Then he sent another burst of flame ahead, causing more screams from the guards he set on fire that were not quick enough to get away.

The sudden wave of flames rolling in from behind gave her just the time she needed to get to a safer position. Now that the train’s defenders were trying to back out the door, she fired a couple of shots through it to push them further into the next car. When there was no one left inside this one apart from her and Kotii, she pressed her back against the wall by the door and grinned from underneath her helmet.

“Good timing,” she said, just as two more guards rushed in. She raised her blasters to fire, but Kotii had already taken care of them with two blaster bolts and another burst of flames. At seeing the men scream as they ran away, Ruus’all hadn’t been exaggerating when he’d said that the man was a deadly warrior.

Now that this car was clear, Zaia nodded at hearing Kotii’s plan and turned around to head on into the next one, leading with her blasters. By now, the guards had learned that Mandalorians weren’t easy to mess with. They backed up against the wall as she entered their car, and the three of them who dared to raise their weapons were swiftly plugged with a blaster bolt in the chest. One guard at the back of the group was frantically trying to unlock the door behind him, and as soon as it slid open, the rest of the group practically pushed over each other to get in. They were coming up soon on the engine car though, and she knew that the guards would have to make a last stand sooner or later, unless they surrendered.

Zaia switched out with Kotii long enough for him to detach the grapple line from his body harness. Now free to walk inside the confines of the armored train, the Mandalorian moved onward towards the front of the train. The guards were fearful of the armor clad warriors.

Some of the shots fired by the retreating train staff missed the Mandalorians entirely thanks to their terrified shaking. They were met with ruthless execution as one bolt after another dispatched the remaining guards. The muzzle of Kotii's heavy blaster pistol heated up with repeated use until the duo came upon the engine car.

The train car was littered with bodies and smoke slowly wafted towards the back of the train where hatches and openings let the cold mountain air rush in to pull the smell of combat outside. But the ex Solus'alor did not slow his progress and produced a security spike from his belt pouch. He connected it to the interface and began slicing into the security of the engine car.

For a moment the badger was wondering if he was going to have to bust through the blast door with maybe something in like a grenade launcher from one of the other train cars. They certainly had enough fire power. But then the clicking of the rotating security spike ceased and the hiss of the door opened. The moment it was wide enough a blaster bolt leapt from the co-conductor and slammed into the Mandalorian's chest plate. He reeled back from the impact and and fired a shot back only for the bolt to miss and impact the viewport just in front of the first train conductor, causing it to crack and spiderweb partially. The door to the engine car was stuck open and it looked like only the two conductors were what remained. They were trying to defend themselves and the train to the very end.

@Sicadorito barely a success
