[Closed] The Training of Little Cabaoth

[Keinushi]

The weight zoomed down, stopping right above her hand, where she easily grabbed it. She held it her hand, though seemed to be displaying do effort in doing so.

"Satisfactory?" She smiled.

 

[Padmé]

"Yes. Remember Kiara, the same effort that you used to control the weight down will be needed when you become a councilor. You will be forced to deal with all sorts of personalities and characters, but remember to allow the Force to guide you- just as you just easily displayed with the weight." Lamb turned and gave her Padawan an approving smile. "Now I want you to move the weight back up to it's original position."

 

[Keinushi]

Using her photographic memory, Kiara returned the weight to its exact position down to the millimeter. "What's next master?"

 

[Padmé]

Lamb was pleased to observe Kiara’s ease with the assigned task.“What’s next is combat forms. I don’t see a lightsaber on you….Do you know of any combat forms- be it with the blade or hand-to-hand.”

Cath moved quickly as she rushed down the hall. It was unconventional she usually spent the day light hours with the other healers but she had to get some datapads. That was when she heard it and stopped to observe. Another knight with a padawan it was droll and boring but then her eyes flicked to the padawan under the mask and she felt nothing really the padawan was normal the knight nothing now. It was the way they were average that made her step into the room and speak as she stood there in her clothing.

"Having padawans move weights? So quaint oh you must show her how to hold a rock next then maybe count to ten. What are we coming to when the knights need more instruction then a padawan. At least make her break into a sweat lifting something bigger."

Cath continued to stand there and had her eyebrow raised while she grinned and crossed her arms. She spoke without turning her head and seeing into the mask would be hard there were not really eye slots.

"Padawan do you enjoy your master treating you like a stupid child? "Move tis here." "Lift that there." Oh you should be instructed properly while she gets her head on straight... Which is another talent I have."

 

[Keinushi]

"I must do as the masters instruct," Kiara bowed to the strangly dressed woman. "No more, no less, thus is my job as a padawan learner."

 

[Padmé]

Instead of a response to her question concerning combat forms, in came a dark appearing figure. The woman behind the dark suit displayed not only a queer intrusion, but was rather rude and harsh with her words.

"I wouldn't consider being kind, and encouraging necessarily a bad thing, lady. I merely use the same techniques and methods my Master, Remy, used while I was under her tutelage before she...." Knight Lamb chocked on her own words upon uttering her beloved Master's name. Seconds later she composed herself then continued "....Besides, I have zero idea who you are, which negates any need to explain myself to you. As my Padawan Kiara just said, she simply follows my instructions nothing more/less. Now, I have ample reason to beleive that you two have met...." Lamb moved around the desk to gather her belongings. While heading out the door, she added "...Kiara, you know where to find me. I'll leave you two to talk. Now, lady in black, if you would excuse me, I have other obligations to fulfill."

With that the blonde Knight walked out of the training room. She sent a final telepathic nudge to her Padawan "I am not neglecting you, but you do have a choice. I refuse to hold you back if you must leave."

 

[Keinushi]

[[awe, I was hoping for a bit of a longer fight between you two]]

Kiara watched her master leave out the exit. And turned around again to see the figure in black. "Well great. Now you've scared off my master."

 

[Syn]

Cath stayed where she was as she spoke. " I do not know this padawan anymore then I know you. That just means your smarter then you look and don't get sent to me for healing. And your master what? The only Remy I know disappeared in the temple bombing." Cath finally moved and went over by the padawan as she spoke. "Blindly following instruction is not a good way to learn padawan all it does is make you continue the cycle and ruin another life when you teach. Now shape up lest you want me to send you away and to a master who [checks to make sure she is gone] hinders your development Kiara." Cath smirked under her suit as she spoke. "It will be fine, I am stealing you away padawan as my own. Somehow I think you will have a lot more fun with the proper instruction."

Cath moved away and rolled her shoulders as she spoke turning her head up a little and smirking. "Yes the proper instruction... Now I am going to drop those weights around you. If you move you'll be hit and hurt yourself. If you jump you'll be hit and get hurt. I do so not enjoy having to heal fools who hurt themselves. So stand perfectly still and your trust will be rewarded by me not being making you do it over and over again." Cath didn't give time she just held her hand up and began to take the weights dropping them in a circle clockwise.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara stood there and let the weights drop, but as they fell she redirected any that came to close with a mastery rarely seen in a padawan. She however remained perfectly still, relying entirely on her mid to calculate the redirections, rather than pointing with a hand and blasting.

 

[Syn]

Cath looked at Kiara and spoke with a grin. "There see it wasn't so bad, and that little trick. Don't ever do it in the future unless you want me to experiment on you." Cath walked looking at the weights and she pushed a few to the sides while she looked down. "Now tell me how you came to the jedi little one? I want to hear so I can know where your training went so wrong. Some neanderthal taught you everything would be roses and fun didn't they well they lied being a jedi is all about finding new ways to hurt. To experiment in ways one can upset the social order and bring an almost controlled chaos to them. We do this by "protecting" leaders and the corrupt with a smile."

 

[Keinushi]

"This is but my first day at a Jedi Temple." Kiara bowed. "What I know of the jedi, I know only from the rumors I heard as a child. Until last month I had never met a jedi."

Looking up and down the others garb, "Though I get the feeling those aren't the normal teachings of the order."

 

[Syn]

"THey are just not sugar coated and tied in a bow. We protect the people yes but what do those people do. Politicians, adulterers, dangerous peoples all of them just waiting for their moment. We protect them to give them that moment so who really is more harmful? The enemy we fight or the teachings we use to justify the poor and starving while their senator throws away food by the case because he changes his mind."

 

[Keinushi]

"They may do what they wish, but we are neutral." Kiara frowned, she did not like this discussion. "We merely keep the peace. It is not our job to determine what comes of that peace."

 

[Syn]

"Do you see peace? I do not. I see us in a war and nothing from our side. I see incompetent knights training padawans to be worse then they are. I see with our neutrality many people in hospitals and going to healers because they can't do much else. Now we will move to your next lesson." Cath moved as she slid from her back a coiled lightwhip and saber made from black metal on the hilts. She grinned more and pointed to the wall. "Go and get a training saber if you don't have one already and meet me here. Every strike you mess up on will be rewarded with a small burn each one you get right you can move onto the next until you can do a series of twenty five without burning yourself."

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara looked at the blades the healer withdrew and her eyes widened. "But those are-" She shut her mouth and nodded, finally understanding where the credit stood. Walking to the cabinet she pulled out several blades, testing each for a second before settling on a yellow blade she liked the balance of.

Her blade selected she returned to the center of the training room, blade activated. "I am ready when you are." She said with a glare and a short bow.

 

[Syn]

Cath looked at Kiara as she circled her and spoke using her saber to make a circle. "Now you will stand in the center of the circle and do the forms as I instruct. There is nothing outside of your circle it is all you know from now on. Is that understood?" Cath stopped when she completed it and pointed towards the center. "Now hold the lightsaber with the hilt near your stomach and at a 45 degree angle." Cath continued to look on as she didn't speak but clipped her saber to her back and held the whip. "There will be no failure from a padawan of mine."

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara took the stance as instructed as if she had taken it a thousand times before. "Ready," She stated.

 

[Syn]

Cath looked and cracked the whip as she lashed out for Kiara's hand to test her stance. "Ready? Your average at best now from that position move the blade five degrees to your right and then a full 90 degrees to the left. Do this until I tell you to stop."

 

[Keinushi]

As the whip came close Kiara's hands snapped and deflected the whip far away from her. She then began the practice instructed. Hitting the angles flawlessly.
