[Syn]

Cath grinned as she continued to walk the circle and watch. She would make Kiara work for every inch and slowly let the time go. It was twelve hours later when she spoke looking at her and speaking. "Stop you have preformed well enough. Now ready stance and stand ready. We will begin with Shii-cho form and then drop into saber ready until I tell you to stop. I want to hear the jedi code. If you miss a line or falter in your stances I will lash you and we will begin again from the first exercise."

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara smiled as she took the next stance. "Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect. Jedi respect all life, in any form. Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training."

She kept the stance as she waited for her next instruction.

 

[Syn]

Cath listened and gave a nod as she spoke. "Good now from Shii-cho we can use the other stance. Foot back saber above your head and blade angled towards the floor 45 degrees." Cath remained circling while she rolled her shoulders and dragged the whip behind her on the floor.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara took the new position with ease. "You say we're going to be serious, so why don't we skip this pussy footing around and spar already? Or is that suit to constricting for you to do actual combat?"

 

[Syn]

Cath stopped and raised an eyebrow inside her mask as she clipped the whip to her belt and an unsealing sound could be heard as the mask came away from her face and her red hair fell around her shoulders as she spoke. "Well if you feel your up to snuff to fight a jedi knights I will not deny you padawan. But when you fail you will be lashed for your pride and for jumping the gun." Cath took her saber and whip as she looked at the girl and shifted the saber into a shien stance with a reverse grip while her spun the whip lashes turning it on. Both weapons hummed when she lashed out with the whip and stayed on the outside of the circle.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara instantly dropped the guard she had been ordered to take, and instead held her blade against her hip, blade pointed at the ground. To the untrained eye she now had no guard at all. The force emanated from her, in the way only a powerful force user could. "You keep talking, but you have yet to prove you are anything more than that. You have scared away my master, and I take that personally. I beg you hold nothing back and neither shall I."

 

[Syn]

Cath grinned and kept it as she held her blades and spoke cracking the whip once... twice. "So eager a jedi should have patience running headlong into battle is what has been killing the others.. That and a lack of anything resembling a brain." Cath moved forward and lashed out for the girls feet while her hand sparked and she sent blue-green electric judgement towards the padawan.

 

[Keinushi]

With her free hand Kiara caught it, forming it into a ball in her hand. Meanwhile she sent a legsweep through the force at Cath as she gave a small leap over the whip. "No different than playing jumprope back home, and you talk to much. You make the mistake of the current jedi in that you bark is far worse than your bite. To another force user you are a joke, but I'm sure it works great on the untrained padawans."

 

[Syn]

Cath moved as she jumped over the leg sweep and spoke as she didn't run... she didn't have to waste her time. She stepped into the circle and walked forward cracking the whip as she lashed out. "Oh I assure you padawan [with emphasis] that my bite is worse. And every second you continue to annoy me I shall take out of our hide in training." Cath swiped her hand across her face as she wiped at the enzyme on her skin that cursed her and slung it with a crack of the wipe.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara dodged the whip and release the bal of lightning she had collected. If it hit Cath it would probably knock her out. If she dodged it, it would explode and probably electrocute both of them, knocking them both out.

 

[Syn]

Cath looked at the ball and brought her saber around as she smirked. Yes it was a form of lightning but jedi used lower levels and she brought her saber around to it lashing out with the whip again. The saber took the hit and Cath walked forward more as she gave a look and then sneered stabbing her saber forward at the girls shoulder. "You need to learn your place young one. The galaxy needs all the help it can get and your acting like I want to kill you."

 

[Keinushi]

"Which no jedi would ever do." Kiara smirked. " I must say it was surprising to meet you, but if your done, I need to find my master."

 

[Syn]

Cath looked at Kiara as she spoke. "Your looking at your master padawan. The former is not important, this is a good thing. Means you might actually learn something." Cath walked and stood next to Kiara as she leaned over and spoke letting the red hair fall around her face with her voice coming out in a whisper. "And she is not stupid... one little slip and she might put it together that before the jedi you actually were like me. With training bought and paid for by rich parents." Cath raised her eyebrows in an arch as she pulled away and began to put her mask back on. Her hair went in first and she sealed it sliding her lightsaber and whip onto her back. "Now padawan Kiara come and we will do what every master and student should do. We will go on a mission and solve the problems of the galaxy."

 

[Keinushi]

"Very well." Kiara smiled. "Always nice to meet a fellow Brown graduate."

 

[Syn]

Cath grinned as she spoke going for the door and rolled her shoulders. "We shall start with the grand tour so you can get your bearings Kiara then after that I will show you where you can find me." Cath moved with it as she went out into the hall and saw the moonlight. "The temple has many rooms and it can be easy to get lost but you can always find the council chambers. The doors are large and the area outside it even bigger. Use it to find your way."

 

[Keinushi]

"No worries." Kiara offered. "I don't get lost. Photographic memory."

 

[Syn]

Cath looked at Kiara and continued to walk as she spoke. "Good then your memory will serve getting to your classes well. When you are not with me you will be in class or asleep. It might seem harsh but the current jedi are far to soft and simple in the head. Your last master would have you talk about your feeling. I do not care if your happy I only care that your in good health. For that you will be checked up regularly in the med bay. We will have complete privacy away from eyes an ears. so try not to do anything... strange or unneeded to yourself."

 

[Keinushi]

"Yeah, sure." Kiara nodded barely paying attention.

 

[Syn]

Cath turned her head as her hand came up and smacked the padawan in the back of the head. "You will also pay attention when spoken to padawan. While we are in temple I am your master and my word is your law. You will study what I give you and listen always." Cath continued to walk and pointed. "There is the port for the ship and over there is the forest ground for training the other jedi. Some students easily become lost in the woods and fall victim to strange predators. So be on your guard Would hate to not be able to find your body." Cath smirked a little and kept going. "THe river goes to the filtration systems so we always have fresh water and food stores are kept stocked."

Kiara rubbed the back of her head, glaring daggers at the older jedi. "Yeah, and if you hit me again, I'll hit back. We 'corellians' aren't known for our even temper."
