I've personally found that most man/woman/things are terrifying

My Alliance character is going to be a former Padawan who got kicked out of the order for pranking everybody - and pranking them good.

You're going to need to develop that concept more. I can't see the New Jedi Order kicking people out just for playing practical jokes on people. That doesn't really effect your ability to be a Jedi.

I know you didn't say he was finished, but if the concept is that he was kicked out and the reason he was kicked out was that he was a prankster, then the concept is inherently flawed. If you add more reasons for why he got kicked out, though, then it's definitely a much better work in progress. :)

My indie Jedi is going to leave the Order over philosophical differences and *possibly based on what the think tank comes up with) disagreeing on how the Order is handling the resurrgent Sith threat. He leaves and integrates himself into the seedier elements of society, becomes a smuggler, and I eventually hope to form a Talon Karrde esque organization devoted to destroying the Sith. I'm calling him the Knight-Errant in my head.

If someone does revive the collection of bounty hunters, can there be a different aside from the Bounty Hunter's Guild? I know they are the biggest house, but frankly the name is starting to sound stale. It simply isn't timeless like Jedi or Sith. How about coming up with a new name and an original guild? Like the Hydrian Manhunters or the Nightmen Raiders. Just something more unique than BHG.

Actually it might be a little more like this:

He doesn't want to be a Jedi Knight, and he tries to do everything he can to get kicked out, not realizing that he can just leave whenever he wants to. And when he leaves, he doesn't want to go back to his parents because his father is just a political man who got a wife and adopted a son for a political image, so - and I don't know if this would be allowed in the Order or not, but - his former Master raises him outside of the order as a father-figure, since he has nobody else to go to.

That could actually be developed pretty well. Since the New Jedi Order treats these new Sith as "not real Sith" simply for the fact that Anakin Skywalker supposedly destroyed the Sith could actually be a reason why he leaves them. Considering that such a viewpoint would mean the Jedi aren't taking the Sith threat as seriously as they should.

How about a one-word name? Something more original, or a reference to something. I don't know, just throwing out ideas.

I don't care which Empire uses it whatsoever... but this has got to make an appearance.

Make up a word and say it's a predator found on Alderaan or something.

I'm inclined to agree, designs are pretty cool. As far as the name for a Bounty Hunter faction is concerned, it should be something similar in fashion to 'The Exchange', something that says ''just for buisiness'' but also sounds cool.,
