Hey welcome! Not sure if it's usually this quiet, I only joined last week hehe. I assume the inactivity could be due to the upcoming shift in timelines that's due next month. There's also a large battle story arc happening in the next few weeks, The Battle for Coruscant, which will involve pretty much everyone. A part from those two reasons, not sure!

No, we're quite active. Like Usyd said, there's a timejump coming up. We're in 13000 BBY right now and we'll be jumping to 1000 ABY (post-legacy era). Most people are excited about the new timeline and are basically waiting for it.

But don't hesitate to make a character for this timeline and join a few threads! That way you can get a feel of what it's like to be rping here and you'll have something to keep you occupied.

Why would new types of lightsabers exist? All of the practical designs have been pretty much developed already.

As for starfighters, I imagine iconic ships like X-Wings and Star Destroyers will have similar designs and simply have their internals updated.

The forum is far from inactive. As others said, we're preparing for a timeskip.
