The almost snide remark wasn't taken well by the Lore Master. Who was this child to belittle and demean me in such a way? Adalii herself had been around well over 200 years before she was even born. She thought it rather arrogant of her to suggest that Adalii didn't have full control over her emotions.
She was perfectly mindful of her state of mind. Even so, she remained silent. The only hint of her dissatisfaction with the comment was a tightening of the jaw. She would not apologize for speaking her mind. Not when she was being accused with such a heinous crime.
She listened as Kara further suggested and assumed fanciful tales. They were, of course, in the best of interests, however she felt them misplaced. It almost made up for the previous remark except for the fact that the 2 had never even informally met, so the young woman knew little about Adalii.
At least, what wasn't in the records. Which happened to be quite a bit. Serving under the Lore Master and then becoming one did have its perks, after all.
"I have fed before." The statement stood alone for a number of short moments as she allowed the room to settle at this revelation.
"There was a time when I almost gave fully into my temptations. However, my former Master, the former Lore Master before Lecchamemnon, helped me cope with the urges." Finally turning her face upwards, she added, "This was well before ever of you were even thought of being conceived, so you wouldn't know of this time."
Shifting in her seat slightly, she continued, "I left the Order for a number of years with the approval of my Master. I learned of myself, my true self. I have learned to control my urges." Again, she paused, working at formulating and organizing the story in her mind before saying it.
"Presently, I feed once a week. Simply enough to sustain myself. While my victims do indeed die, I only feed upon those scum that the Jedi would never look at twice."
"Forgive me, good sir...masters, but this is too much. I'll not sit on a Council with a serial killer, especially one who knows the Force so intimately. Prematurely ending the life of another, whether you admit it or not, is about as Dark Side as it gets, regardless of the reasoning behind it. I will not condone murder, nor will I support the so-called wisdom of a Council that would appoint such a person to their ranks.
Kara walked slowly to the door, glancing over her shoulder a final time.
"If you need me, I'll be in my quarters. But I will not set foot in this chamber while any of our most senior members so blatantly dance with the Dark Side. Good day."
And she was gone.
Just some housekeeping things:
This thread needs its links updated. Also the GA military Roster should go through some updating. Someone noticed, I've noticed for a while, but was too distracted to mention anything for the time being.
(In reality, not necessarily needing to meet with the entire council, or any councilors at all. It's a delegations/negotiations meeting, so non-Jedi Councilors could do it instead if desired. Note, the Imperium will not attempt any funny business (well, trying to kill you guys at least. Propaganda is another story :CSly )
Character Name: Imperial delegation team (TBA)
Character Rank and Faction: Imperial delegation team
Reason for meeting: Long story short, it's a bit of a farce attempt to end the war. The Imperials are willing to end the fighting 'if the ones who declared war first, the GA, were to surrender to them' while the Jedi/GA get to see how stubborn the Imperium are along with some possible interfactional chara development between some of the delegation charas and the GA/Jedi party.

Phil said:To be perfectly honest, the path the Mandalorians are going, and may actualy go down. As the one who signed the treaty for their "alliance" and for us to basically have our own land on some of your planets you and the Alliance owns, I feel I should go and inform/warn the Jedi Alliance about recent events that are happening with the Mandalorians, and that possible Civil War may rise in them. Mainly because I'd not want the Jedi Alliance caught off guard should the splinter group or the original Mandos attack you guys.
If it's him just giving the Council a head's up, that's one thing, but it shouldn't be in person. The Jedi Council shouldn't get involved in the internal affairs of the Mandalorians. Additionally, an in-person audience, rather than Phil sending a message, sends a signal to the Mandalorian separatists that the Jedi are on the side of the main Mandalorians.
Regardless of whose side the Council would want to support, the IC politics of diplomacy would say to remain neutral until the Council, as well as the Alliance government, could determine what's actually going on and who the separatists are.
Plus, Phil's character isn't Mandalore anymore. He's a Captain, if I recall correctly. The Jedi Council doesn't have the IC time to deal with an audience with a Mandalorian Captain, and so they shouldn't spend the time on it -- regardless of his former rank.
