Kyo smirked and glanced back over his shoulder at Grem, who nodded and shrugged as he admitted he was guilty. The young Knight would then return his attention forward and slip his hands into his pockets. He kept his bright blues on the path ahead, making sure to maneuver around any wet spots and that Seela was able to avoid them too.

He dwelled on Seela's encounter last night, wondering how he could prepare her in case they were hunted or stumbled into other threats. Now didn't seem the time to worry about it though. The idea of going shopping seemed to brighten her mood, and he wanted to keep it that way for as long as he could. He understood that she'd just had a very rough couple of nights, and they both needed an easy day...


After awhile they'd be at the elevator, which Kyo would attempt to dodge all comments about using. About a quarter of an hour later they'd be walking towards the market, where people crowded the streets of various vendors and stalls. "Try to stay close. You can lead the way, so just grab my hand and drag me along if you see something you like."

[Seela]

Once Kyosuke gave her the green light, Seela sent her awareness around, using all her senses to find want she wanted. It didn't take her long to locate a decent clothing place, and to excitedly pull her companions towards it. The bustling crowd was a familiar environment to her, and she relished in the movement of it all, the sounds, the other people...

Finding the boots were the easiest. Cute, but sturdy practical hells, knee-hight, just the right size! Satisfied, she plopped them in Kyosuke's hands, to free her own hand to be able to search. Seela knew she wanted pants, so she browsed that section, ending up taking two dark grey and dark purple pairs. She put those over her shoulder, then went on the hunt fot tops, but found herself attracted to a dark grey bantha hide jacket. Looking at the price and doing some quick calculations, she concluded it would be hers, and draped it over the pants.
A few minutes later, Seela had a complete outfit with a few spare everyday items, and other necessities.

"Hnngh!!" Kyo tried to hold on as Seela dragged him toward the crowd of strangers. The sly Shadow would subtly drop his form under the cloak and he'd bring himself closer to the girl's grasp. He took shorter steps and his knees bent enough to drop his height a little further as well, thus giving the illusion that Seela was pulling around someone several inches shorter than herself. It was a discreet tactic that he'd hoped would throw off anyone who'd be looking for them, but he didn't take into account how it might actually make him look to his companion.

It wouldn't be long before she'd started filling his arms with things. He'd roll his eyes, let out a sigh, and force himself to take it. It was the least he could do to make things up to her. At least he brought the bag along, but he got the feeling that Seela was going to change into the outfit soon anyway, so it didn't really need to be used yet.

And so the deceitfully shrunken Kyo just stood there, innocently hummimg the old imperial marching tune to himself that Seela had gotten stuck in his head. Meanwhile he'd try to hide his blush and grumpy pout under his shawl at being used like a shopping cart. Not that it was his first time. His ex-Master used to do it to him too, constantly treating him more like a child than an adult.

"Ahm..." Kyosuke transitioned into a boy-ish demeanor in order to sell his deceptive appearance to any who might be spying on them. "I been saving up lately..." He'd then turn his innocent gaze up to Seela as he'd poke his big shining blues out from behind the items she'd plopped in his deceptively shortened reach. "Can buy them for ya. If ya want..."

'Stupid...' Kyo cursed himself for choosing this role to use as a disguise. 'She better not make fun of me for this...'

[Seela]

Seela was slightly confused by her companion's shift in demeanor, but decided to just go along with it, and ask later.

"Oh, Sweetling, you've already done so much for me lately, keep your savings for a rainy day! I got this!"

On that, she slightly shook her foot, making her credits clink in her shoe. Wanting to play along, she looked around, and found a cute blue scarf that could very well match his eyes, then went to peruse the bows and bowties section. Findng one that matched the scarf surprisingly easily, she took it, and quickly went to pay for her haul, quite excited to buy something herself for the first time.

'Sweetling?!' Kyo curled his lips to the side with a puffed cheek as he tried to figure out if Seela was teasing him or playing along. There was a slight lighthearted grumble from the bashful Knight, who reluctantly accepted the fact that he'd done this to himself.

"Hmf..." Unable to figure out what she was thinking, the youthful lad continued to obediently follow her like a good boy. He'd keep his senses tuned to their surroundings while he attempted to remain vigilant. Thankfully it didn't seem like anyone was following them or even paying much attention to them at all.

"When did you get creds for all this?" Then he realized that Seela hadn't really told him why she was in the underworld in the first place. The inquisitive boy's suspicious attention fell upon her as he wondered just how innocent she was in her story to him. He didn't really want to ruin her mood though, so instead of pushing too far too fast he decided to leave that subject alone for now.

[Seela]

Seela went to the register-thing, and neatly stacked everything she planned to buy on the counter, before lifting a foot, staying perfectly balanced on the other, and slipped her shoe off. She knew she had at least 185 creds in total, and that it should be enough to cover for everything, according to the price tags.
Emptying the sole of her shoe on the counter, trying to make as little noise as possible, she then put her shoe back on, and did the exact same thing with the other one.

"Well, Sugar, I had quite a bit of free time while you were recovering!"

The vocoder thing made her sound weird, and made how she acted and what she said oddly different from how she sounded! What an odd experience! She didn't know if Kyosuke had noticed her two latest additions, or even realized he would be wearing one of them eventually, but Seela still smirked behind the mask, wondering how much he would protest. She had definitely noticed that he seemed to only wear black, and a few dark grey things, but no real color anywhere in his ship. It was abhoring to her, and so incredibly boring! Seela needed colors in her life!

Unaware of what Seela really did during that time, he assumed she meant picking pockets or something shady like that. Perhaps that was why she'd gotten into that bit of trouble. Not something he felt he should poke into right now.

Chibi Kyo blushed at being called "sugar", and swiftly spun around to face away from the counter so the vendor wouldn't see his face. "Well --" he let the word hang as he tried to find some way to justify the time she was alone while he recovered.

But he couldn't think of anything.
What happened was his fault.
It began before they met.
He had to accept that.

Kyo lowered his head and let out a sigh. Then after a few moments he'd take a deep breath, steady the ripples in his chest, and give a nod. "That's good you were able to do that then." He was honest and sincere as he turned the corner of his azure gaze back over to Seela. "Sorry you had to wait on me."

Gremlin tilted his head at the two of them from under the hoodie, letting out a soft coo that only the three of them would be able to hear. The youthful Knight would let out a faint, "heh" with a slight smile at one corner of his lips. Then he'd poke up to half his forearm out from his closed cloak, and he'd reach over his shoulder to pat the little droid on the head. "It's okay buddy. At least all of us are better now."

Grabbing the stack of clothes from the counter, and the remaining credits, Seela nodded towards the changing spaces. She was looking forwards to wearing real clothes!

"Oh, I already have my way of getting back at you for that stunt you pulled, Sweetcheeks! Don't worry your pretty little head about it! Now, I'll just... be back in a bit!"

Yes, Seela had noticed how flustered the young man got when she started the nicknames, and enjoyed taking advantage that he couldn't make a fuss about it right now, since they were trying to avoid attention. Flustering the young man was quite an entertaining new hobby!

The shrunken Kyo's face would grow brighter and dip further into his shawl to hide as much of his blush as possible. He'd squint at Seela from behind his raven bangs in protest to the way she addressed him, but he wouldn't resist. There was a tiny grumble and pout that he was having trouble holding back, but either way he would continue to plod along behind her.

Until she got to the changing room.

Then he'd freeze, flip around, and clear his throat as he walked right back out after realizing he was about to walk in on her dropping her clothes once again. "Ahm... T-take your time! I'll just be out here..." His eyes shifted around the wandering crowds that weren't too far from the rooms they were at.

The boy would then wait patiently for Seela to finish. Keeping himself about as calm as he could while he discreetly scanned the area for anyone or anything suspicious.

Removing the cloak, Seela then removed the other things she was wearing, and put on her new outfit quickly. Putting the unspent credits back in her shoes, she put on the new boots. Then, she folded and tied the blanket so as to have a makeshift satchel, and put the remaining items, and other things in it, slinging it on her right shoulder.
Once done, Seela put the cloak back on, pouting when she tucked her lekkus inside once more.
It had been a long time since she had worn real clothes that were that covering! Seela was quite happy with how it felt, and how she looked! She looked downright badass!
Humming the imperial march again, she sneaked back to behind Kyosuke.

"I'm back!"

Having noticed a fabric stall nearby, Kyo had nearly gone to leave for it when he heard the classy tune of the old Empire once again. He could hardly hold back a little smirk as he'd pivot back around on his heels and check out her new costume. "Badass." He'd then nod up at her, and poke his hand out to give her a thumbs up.

Then after a moment of letting her bask in her satisfaction he'd softly point back over to the stall that had some nice fine silks on display. "Want." He lightly said not as a question, but as a statement and as a request for their next destination.

Seela pouted at having forgotten that singing wasn't conducive to good stealth... She would have to try again!

"Well, go on, then, take the lead, Honeybun!"

Seela decided that shopping was fun, and that flustering her companion was way too easy, but still incredibly entertaining.

Kyo's bright blues squeezed shut as she managed to fluster him yet again with another cute nickname. 'I am not cute! I'm a warrior! A Jedi Knight!' But he couldn't argue with her over that, not when she seemed to be enjoying herself so much.

Instead he'd puff his cheeks, furrow his brows, and reach out with a short portion of his arm to grab her hand and lead her through the crowd to the nearby silk shop. "Do you want any of these?" He'd overcome his innocent frustration to whisper back at her while they approached the stall full of various elegant silks and other fabrics.

"I'll get you one spool of any kind and color you want. Then maybe later we can make you something, hm?" He'd gently shake her hand as he'd look up at her, then released her hand so she could take a look around without him being a burden.

Tilting her head and thinking about her plan to bring color to his life, Seela nodded, then started to browse the stall. Eventually finding a spool of soft deep purple, she brought it with her towards Kyosuke. That would make a nice blanket!
Spotting a candy stall just outside the stall, she left her spool near him, and went out silently. A few seconds later, she came back with a big swirly rainbow lollipop, and other candies in her satchel, and sauntered back to Kyosuke, handing him the treat, softly giggling.

"Here is a treat for you, Cupcake, you were so good in the other shop!"

She'd wait for him to take the treat, then take her spool again, to wait for him to be done browsing.

Kyo's bright blues went wide as he noticed the large colorful lollipop in her hand. "Please no..." He whimpered silently while his face grew brighter and brighter from the moment she returned with another nickname. 'She's ruthless...' He felt himself nearly choking at the thought of turning her down. His chest fluttered like a thousand wings beat within.

'Aww kriff... I better take this...'

Then he'd take a deep breath, gathered his courage, and softly flicked his tongue across the edge of the lollipop as he barely reached out to take it. The taste swirled in his mouth, gradually hitting his brain with its unfamiliar sweetness.

"Mm.. it's --" He took another gentle lick while he nodded and admired the taste. "It's actually really good. Thanks!" He then realized how ridiculous he probably looked, and shyly pulled it under his cloak near the top, so he could still reach it easily enough when nobody was looking. Gremlin tilted his head, confused by the event.

"Ahm..." He nearly shook of embarrassment as he plucked up a spool of fine Karlini silk, which was - of course - the darkest shade of black that he could find. Then he'd scoop it up with Seela's deep purple bolt of fabric, and would begin to head toward the counter with his head about as far down in his shawl as he could manage.

Seela giggled athis adorable reactions, and pouted when she remembered she would have to wait to be back at the ship to munch on her own treats, because of the mask.

"Aw, so adorably cute! The candy can't compete with your sweetness, Cutiepie!"

Seela then followed him, loosing interest in the shopping. She had what she wanted, what she had been looking forwards to, and now the rest seemed mundane and boring.

There were basic supplies and rations that Kyo still had to go around and collect before they could move on. Thankfully, pretty much everything he wanted to find was available in the expansive cityworld market. The biggest challenge was making sure Seela didn't get too bored or wander off, so he'd variate bopping her with the lollipop or humming the old imperial marching theme for her whenever she seemed to get distracted.

One of the first destinations would be to get a healing stim for Seela, so that she wouldn't have to go around the place with her wounds irritating her any longer. He'd also get one for Gremlin's modified equipment hopper, and six extras to keep as backup on the Shinigami.

Eventually he'd pick up a new jet-black pocket-sized stun glowrod, so that Seela could keep his other one, unless she insisted on buying it herself. He had plenty of credits though, and would let her know that before he'd purchase anything else for her. That way she might feel a little less upset by getting her new gifts. He'd also get them a matching pair of homing beacon rings that could lead them back to each other.

At a nearby weapon's stall he'd get two collapsible electrostaves made of phrik alloy, one for each of them. He'd also get them a magnetically attuned chest belt that the staves could snap to in order to be kept on their backs, or the belts could be tightened enough to be worn around the hips instead. He'd also let her pick out a pair of shock boxing gloves to keep for herself, which she could wear now or tuck away.

The youthful Knight figured he should get a couple Marksman-H training remotes as well, since it was likely he'd end up training Seela to use a lightsaber at some point. They were pretty bulky, so he let them float around the party as they continued to acquire more stuff that Kyo thought might benefit them.

He'd let her choose a new smartpad dataphone and wrist comm, which he would show her how to setup and use for as long as he could hold Seela's attention. He'd then add himself, Shini, and Gremlin as her first three contacts.

Amoung other various small items he'd let her pick out a new personal translator mask for herself, and a rebreather for her as well since he'd probably be training her at the Hollow from time to time. There'd also be a small pair of macrobinoculars he'd pick up for her too, since he was going to be teaching her to hunt eventually.

In addition to those he'd use his big-game hunting license to purchase two vibro-repulsor blades for himself. With his bounty hunting license he'd get three PL-50 stun gas grenades, which he'd carefully tuck away in the bag to keep them as secure as possible.

Kyo'd attempt to get her a SGG-50 grapple gun, if she was willing to have one, which he'd try to convince her would be for life or death situations if they were hunting and she needed a quick route into a tree. If she really didn't want it now, then he'd buy it anyway and tuck it away into the bag. He'd also get a small concealable CDEF blaster pistol for Seela, but he'd keep that one a secret until she was ready to have her own pistol.

Lastly, he'd go around with her finding any sorts of hygiene or personal care items she needed before they'd make their way back toward the elevator to the Shinigami after a little more than an hour of shopping...


"Not sure if you noticed..." On the way out of the market, Kyo would turn his head toward Seela and take a little chomp out of a softened chunk of the almost completely devoured lollipop. A small piece of the rainbow candy would then drop to the ground from the way he'd been eating.

Not too far from them, the hum of an MSE-series maintenance droid could be heard as it weaved in and out of alleys and obstacles to stealthily collect the bits of candy that Kyo had been dropping for the last hour. It was almost as though the little droid was trying to keep the place clean without drawing any attention to itself. "But I think we're being followed..."

[Seela]

Seela was obediently following Kyosuke, just putting what he handed her in her blanket-satchel or her pockets, occasionally glancing at the adorable grumpy little rectangular droid following them. It seemed to be annoyed at Kyosuke's unclean eating of his candy. Sure, Gremlin was adorable, but that one could be hers! Plus, Seela was sure it would be happier with her. She could see the rust, and dents on it's shell, and hear the squeaks of it's neglected wheels.
Seela wrinkled her nose at the grapple gun. She remembered her last experience swinging from one vividly enough to not want one. Plus, this oje just looked plain evil! Kark, if she really needed to be in a tree, she could probably climb faster than that thing could hoist her up!
Then, Seela perked back up when he mentioned personal care. She didn't need much, but her poor nails had had a rough time recently! And so, she happily went around collecting nailstuff, basic make up, and other hygiene things she would need. Which she happily spent her remaining credits on.
Lighter on credits, but happily owning things legally for the first time in her life, Seela was pondering how to catch the droid following them.

"Oh, Dear, that poor little thing has been trying to clean up after you for the past hour... let's just turn in the next alley?"

Seela would rescue the small adorably grumpy droid wether it wanted to or not!

"Well it's not my fault you got me this thing." Kyo would blush and grumble as he'd poke the candy with his tongue and take another bite of it. Now nearly encumbered by all the new supplies and gear, the lad would give Seela a nod before he swiftly waddled into the next alley, which was one of the last few on the way out of the district. Nobody seemed to be nearby, and he could use his ascension gun mod to get them up to the roofs, then up to the--

Then the curious Shadow would slowly turn around and look back at Seela. He'd pause for a moment as he'd watch her, seemingly not to keen on finding a way out of the alley. It was more like she'd tried to lure someone, or some thing in with them. He'd arch a brow at her, then would gradually slink back into the shadows, disappearing behind a small nook as he switched to stealth.

Once in the alley, Seela seemingly would switch mindsets to hunting mode, way more focused than she had been the whole outing. Rolling her newly slightly healed shoulder, and quickly tying the shirt-sling into some kind of bag, and silently crouched. Reaching into her satchel, she took a few candy pieces, and threw then just where the alley melded to the street, and waited, like a loth-cat on the prowl, melding in the shadows near the wall beside her.
Seela waited, sensing the little droid make it's way closer, her legs coiled and ready to pounce, the excitement and intent clear in her demeanor.

As soon as the mouse droid came squeaking and grumbling around the corner, Seela threw another piece of candy closer to her.
The droid let out a few annoyed beeps, and some very colorful words in droidspeak, and went to sweep the candy up.

In that very instant, Seela pounced!
Holding the mouse droid up by its shell, despite its outraged sounds, she then turned it to face her.

"Kriffing calm down! You're fine! I'm taking you out of here! I'll get you cleaned up, repaired, and you'll get other droid friends! Oh, and your name is now Rabbit!"

The poor annoyed robot let out a few more disgruntled sounds, but had stopped whirring its little wheels. It seemed to be protesting more for the principle and fun of it.
