Open to any Mandalorians

Kotii stood aboard the Werda Kom'rk, arms crossed in front of him. His right hand however, held a thin cylinder that smoothly rotated between his fingers. The contents of the code cylinder had already been sliced after a lengthy bit of effort. But now a surprising bit of information had been kept, the kind that the Alor couldn't turn down. The man hoped that 'Wolf' would be joining this operation. After all it was the two of them that had apprehended a bounty which had led to this. There were other members of House Solus the young Alor was stilling aiming to work with.

<"Thank you for coming, brothers and sisters."> He addressed those onboard the multi-role starfighter as well as those in their own ships watching and listening. The transport's interior was large enough to easily carry a dozen members of House Solus. Each of them were wearing the signature red and black armor with some sporting three claw markings across mythosaur skulls as well as badger sigils.

Fresh painted plates and carboned scored alike reflected the blueish glow of the holo-projection in the compartment. It presented a world they were approaching with a waypoint on its surface as well as the current representation of the Mandalorian's future location. The projector also captured Kotii's figure from the torso up to the two other House Solus transports as well as any Mandalorians in their own ships watching on their communication projectors. Today he had replaced the two dart launchers he used for bounty hunting and went with a jetpack and accompanying missile launcher.

<"Some of you may be familiar with the Archaic Arsenal on Ordo. A long time ago many cultural artifacts were stolen from that location. This was not the first time we have had our regalia taken from us and would not be the last. But there is a possibility that we can regain what is rightfully ours on Savareen.">

<"Corpse robbers, petty thieves, criminals and the scum of the galaxy may be ever present in this galaxy. But today they'll know what happens when you steal from one of us, if there are any around.">
The man spoke like this because he had sliced into the code cylinder in his hands. Knowing that replicating the key or altering the code would have their fair risks, the Mandalorian had simply opted for reading the information and nothing else. The rest he had done was calculate what the coded key could unlock.

<"This code cylinder registers to a vault, or rather a door system in the tunnels located deep in the mountains on Savareen's surface. Dryden Vos was known to visit here and have his ship make pit stops to harass the locals. His ship, the First Light, housed artifacts like a museum or trophy room. He was the previous owner and a known member of the Crymorah Syndicate. Once we enter the atmosphere we'll do closer scans at what was probably his secret stash and take out any defenses that might be left.">

It may be stacks of Beskar, it could be the scraps of a rally master for all Kotii knew. But locked away in a vault in mountains of Savareen there was something that belongs to someone that took from his people and himself. So Kotii would take everything from them. That was the Solus way. That was the Badger way. That was his way.

Reiel still hadn't moved on from her uncle's death. Perhaps there was no moving on from it, but the small Mandalorian decided to honor Dell by answering Kotii's call. There were missions to be done as mandated by her clan's Alor, but her grandfather understood her pain and allowed her to go with the Solus Mando instead of one of her own. The old Falleen knew that working with their own clanmates would only prompt Reiel back to grief, having herself surrounded by clanmates who reminded her of Dell. So when she relayed the message she received from Kotii, her ba'buir was lenient enough to give her his blessing.

She was tiny enough to fit in with a group of Kotii's clanmates aboard the Werda Komr'k. Among the red and black armor her grey stood out so she opted to stay in the back of the group, sitting on the floor reminiscent of what she looked like back in the Black Keep, save for her helmet remaining on its rightful place.

Her brows furrowed in anger as she listened to the Alor speak, though the emotion clearly wasn't aimed at him. Thieves, scum... always taking what wasn't theirs. They never learned – no one, especially Mandalorians, never took kindly to those who dared steal from them. She'd made sure that she left her mark back in Mandalore, when she – along with her trusted vode and with help from an aruetii and her droid– made those Nagai pirates pay for their audacity.

They never learned, and the Mandalorians were more than willing to remind them what would befall those who had the absolute temerity to take what wasn't theirs.

Kotii was happy to see more than his own direct clan answering the opportunity presented. They all had their own reasons for being here. But they all shared a loathing for anybody that had made an affront to the Mandalorian people. The Alor did not need to be Force sensitive to pick up on the building anticipation. Passions ran hot for all Mandalorians, badgers of House Solus were just known for taking it to the extreme.

Below the ships, sandy dunes quickly turned into rocky mountains and then snow topped peaks. Just as the man had planned, the three kom'rk starfighters scanned the surface. With their short range sensors they would rapidly approach the mountain and see no air defenses yet. There wasn't any quad laser turrets or other energy spikes indicating defensive shields.

His helmet turned and looked at each of this warriors. Most of them had jetpacks but one familiar Mandalorian stood out from the rest. Kotii walked away to the part of the ship where Reiel stood. Her body language setting her slightly apart from his own closer kin. <"You don't have a jetpack. Have you trained with one before?"> He did not have a spare but she was not alone in that regard.

Aden's voice came in from the cockpit to announce they were getting close. <"Landing pads. They look to be clear. Opening for shock-fall."> The term he used was followed by the sound of numerous boots moving into position. The debarkation hatch opened in the deck of the ship, allowing each Mandalorians using jetpacks and jetboots to exit. The eighteen airborne shadow warriors flew through the cold high altitude air of the Savareen mountains. Each warrior moved to different parts of the landing area that lead to a blast shielded hangar door in the side of the largest mountain in sight. They secured the area with weapons raised and on alert. But no obvious targets were present. A moment later, the ships would land on the platform and allow the other non-flying Mandalorians to reinforce the shock troopers on first arrival.

When there was a call, Mysha wouldn't hesitate to answer.

The Cobalt Dancer broke through the atmosphere, descending slowly in pursuit of the Solus Alor's own ship. Though she wasn't equipped with a jetpack or jetboots, she had ways of landing like the rest of her kin. One day, she would upgrade her own armor, but the promise of treasure to benefit other Mandalorians was too much of a temptation to resist. She would do what she could with her hammer and her determination; the rest of it would be played by ear.

There were always dangers and risks when pursuing important things. But to punish the thieves that stole from her kind... she would have no qualms to smashing them with her hammer. This was the Way.

She was the strong silent type at times. They all could be, Kotii especially. Turning away from the Crowholde, the Alor of House Solus would lead those that had not disembarked prior to landing the transport. Moving out swiftly to cover the backs of the vanguard shocktroopers, the badger squads secured the landing areas and any external access doors. All of them required a code or type of key to get past. The House trans[prts were joined by the

The large blast doors to the hangar of the facility itself seemed to be what Kotii's code cylinder unlocked. Along with perhaps the next few layers of security, they would have their access open. Kotii took point and lead with his micro-missile pistol in his left hand while holding a python heavy blaster in his right. Both kicked a lot but the man was a good shot even before his primary hand had been replaced by a top quality cybernetic. Some of the warriors turned on visor modes to accent temperatures out of the norm, others had flash lights to help with dim lighting.

Well armed and cohesive fireteams moved into the carved out service hangar for Dryden Vos. A pair of powered down sentry droids sat inactive on either side of the entrance, long overdue for maintenance. Behind them half a dozen turret droids sat in similar condition, though they each had paint jobs matching that of mountain camouflage. There was more beyond the deactivated droid guards. Skiffs, airspeeders and swoop bikes, some of which were covered in ponchos and tarps while others were sitting out. None of them matched exactly likely because these were the private collection of Dryden Vos and his guests. One of the Mandalorians whistled at the site while moving deeper into the mountain.

The brightening of a series of terminal lights made Kotii's hand tighten around the grip of his pistol. The terminal read in aurebesh 'droid signal controls'. Then came into view not one but three individuals wearing peace meal trooper armor. The silent hiss of the pistol in his hands lead to the munitions exploding as it impacted the chest of one armored enemy. The second pull of the trigger would hit a different target, blasting away chunks of their lower hip and body. But the third shot did not reach the target in time before activating the droids. Their photoreceptors blinked on. Slack joints whirred and twitched before rotating and looking to follow their primary programming. +Defend the base from attackers+

She had been too lost in her thoughts and realized a little too late that Kotii had been speaking to her. Reiel opened her mouth to reply but he was already turning away, and the small Mandalorian only managed a quiet but sincere "Sorry" as she moved to disembark after him and his clanmates.

She was still too caught up in Dell's death... Reiel couldn't help but ask herself if she was ready for missions like this. But she knew she would have to push aside her doubts for the time being. She couldn't stay stuck in a single thought while other around her moved forward – both literally and figuratively. And besides, she was getting the help she needed to unpack her emotional baggages and face the traumas she'd gotten from Firrerre's glassing.

She was Reiel Crowholde, daughter of Wulfric, son of the Alor Cin. She was the chief security of the ISC's Secretary of Defense. She was one of Mandalore's defenders against the fake Mand'alor, Malinkar. She could fucking do this.

Following the Badgers suit, Reiel switched her HUD to thermal mode as they pushed past the blast doors to the hangar bay and further inside. She remained with the rearguard, gloved hands hovering over her DL-18 and Westar-35. At the first shot of blaster fire from the vanguard, both blasters were swiftly unholstered and Reiel was quick to find and take cover when the droids were activated as the third shot clearly didn't hit the intended target in time.

Maybe she shouldn't have to be surprised that shit hit the fan too early, though given their current situation "too early" was somewhat of a moot point.

"Cover needed," she advised the closest Badger and, at her signal, open fired at the closest turret droid and targeted its photoreceptor. One bolt from the Badgers found its mark and Reiel darted forward, firing three consecutive shots at one of the droid's legs, a weak spot given that they weren't as heavily armored as it's main body. The blinded droid crashed on it's back, rotary blasters still firing off shots that went off kilter and hitting two of the turret droids as it fell.

"DAMNIT." Bellowed Kell as he jumped out of his ship manned by his droid, Cleaver, and took to the skies on his jetpack, landing with the group of fellow Mandalorians as they began their siege of the mountain. "I'm late! Blast...Now I feel terrible!!" Akalenedat rushed one of the sentry droids and punched it right in the photoreceptors and then grabbed it by it's head, swung it around once before letting go of it, having the droid hurl through the air spraying blaster fire into it's other allied droids before crashing and tumbling apart when it landed, all of which was followed by Akalenedat's hearty laughter.

It looked like another Mando ( @Forsythe Crowholde ) took out three droids with just a few well fired blaster bolts while another Mandalorian ( @Killa Ree ) flew in a little before Kell did. Kell was not only here to relish combat, but to serve the newer Solus Alor, Kotii ( @Darasuum ). It was a huge honor for the white and orange colored Mando to serve such a respected warrior. Surely this would be a day that would help Kell strive to be able to take his name and place in Clan Vizsla. He drew his EE-3 and continued his assault with the red and black Mandos wearing the marks of the claws that Kell had never thought he'd fight alongside before.

"Our spirit is unrivaled! SHOW. THEM. MORE!" Kell called from the battlefield as he switched out his rifle for his grenade launcher, the Mountaintop. Akalenedat loaded an explosive slug, took aim, and squeezed the trigger, lobbing the single slug towards a pair of turret droids, the explosion taking out the two birds with one powerfully thrown stone. "HA HA HAAA! YEEES!"

All of the Mandalorians were ready and alert when the droids came to life and responded appropriately. Reiel was supported by members of House Solus, taking out the activated defenses with precision. Kotii fired the remaining three rounds from his pistol. The destructive explosions were small and would take out a droid with each hit. Bursting on impact and rending a droid chassis at the center of mass, Kotii was already in the process of reloading when the last target of his hit the ground.

As Kotii reloaded he saw the latest arrival join the group and wade into the combat. The familiar 'thunk' sound also caught the Alor's attention as he recognized the grenade launcher. He still needed to get one of those and they definitely looked fun. Blaster bolts criss crossed the hangar and just as quickly that the fire fight had begun it stopped. He didn't even need to fire the first round of his new magazine. Several Mandalorians had been hit in the plates by blaster fire but none of them appeared to be severely wounded.

The leader of the badgers approached the terminal that had activated the droids. "Let's get the rest of these doors unlocked and clear out anything left. Spread out and see what's unlocked. Be careful." Leaving the hangar behind, he would lead the other Mandalorians into the carved out interior of the mountain.

Lavish halls led to private rooms, a gymnasium and other amenities. When Kotii came to doors and access ways he would insert the code cylinder. A few times the squad would have to double back or wait until Kotii could circle back and unlock the door from the other side. Until they got access to rewrite the codes to the doors they would remain locked and in the open position.

Born to kill
Killing to live
Living to die
Dying to live again.
This is the way.

Adenn Wrote the Calligraphic letters onto a piece of fine Vellum with a brush and ink. When dry the piece was rolled up and placed into a tube of horn. He wondered if among the thousands of pages of Calligraphy possed by the Clan how many were the exact same as his. He knew very well that he likely wasn't adding anything new, just continuing on an ancient tradition. An Alor was little more than a bud from a tree, a long line of Rytt Alors. He had sworn His aid to his Lost pack mate Dolworth and now had sworn aid to yet another Solus. They had listened in on the objective of reclaiming stolen relics of the mandalorian people. The Alor of the raiding party was Kotii Solus whom he did not know but had overheard their Call for aid. The Spooky Mistress made herself known as she joined the Attack group and found a spot near the corner of the landing pad. He and Etr were late for the battle and quickly moved in through the now open doors.

"We will need to move quickly to find the others. Stay on your toes, you'll never know when more guards could come in.

Eyes shall not see
Nor ears shall hear
The call of the Manda
Save for he who marches into it.

Calligraphy is my least favorite part of My education. Adenn states that it's important for a Rytt to know how to Write, especially before a battle since when he falls, the Calligraphy is supposedly read out to Kad Ha'rangir by the heralds of the dead and show how worthy he is and will decide where he shall be in the Hierarchy of the God's realm. I rose and placed the piece of paper into a box with the others and slipped it into the designated spot. For Alors this is individually kept for future readings after his death and the most well written one enters into a litany of others. I placed the helmet over my head and it wobbled a bit as I secured it since it hadn't been fitted. I grabbed my E-11 and was ready for a fire fight but was disappointed when our clearly capable Squad mates had already finished the job and went inside. We quickly ran in after them and caught up with the group within minutes.

The base was swept and secured. All rooms and compartments were cleared of dangers. More droids were found mostly in good condition. They could serve their uses later. What's more the mountain base was more like a mansion or castle. 'Chalet Solus on Savareen' had a nice ring to it.

Kotii would direct the Mandalorian mercenaries with prioritizing what supplies could be looted from the base and taken to coverts aboard private vessels. There were things like the speeders that could be kept or sold later. But one weapon was among the vaults that caught Kotii's eyes. Two identical throwing knives made of beskar sat in a padded box. The Alor recognized them for what they were, he knew several were on Coruscant in the hands of a collector but the others of the knife set were thought missing. Two werda'kar would be reclaimed by the badger for his clan on this day among other things.

Chalet Solus, though it was more of a fortress, would be an effective forward operating base for the Mandalorian mercenaries. From here they could stop to refit and resupply. The Alor of Clan Solus would make certain repairs and maintenance would be given to everything. The out of the way planet of Savareen was not frequented by many, let alone in the remote peaks. Few knew about the late Dryden Vos's base. Now, outside of Mandalorian space their people would be able to rest easy in relative luxury. Even if everything was a century out of date, it was more than could be said for many Mandalorians over the course of their lifetime. Personally Kotii hoped that maybe this would motivate others to do more work beyond Mandalorian space. They were known to be nomadic after all. This was simply a new oasis that hopefully would remain with the House for as long as it was of use.

@Timmen going to end this thread here I think. Started quite a bit back and a lot has happened since then.
