@vamp As I understand it, Harren is standing on Arianna's right hand side, with Wes directly opposite Arianna moving to his right, and Karya directly opposite Harren, diving left. Given that, Harren's force blast wouldn't fling you towards the door, but further away into the wall you're darting alongside. It definitely wouldn't allow you to use the momentum to ride the door as it slammed shut from Arianna's push.

Assuming I'm not mistaken, your post will need editing to reflect that. I'll try and illustrate with a diagram below:

It's crude, but it gets the general idea across. I think I'm right?

Starting positioning sounds good.

One thing to note:

Wes dashed to the right to dodge a flurry of bolts that were aimed at his center mass. That means that the shots would be concentrated in one area, so he wouldn't need to dive or anything like that. Also, at the beginning of the thread he busted the door down with his foot, but didn't step all the way into the chamber. Basically, Wes and Zarya are standing right in the entry. At most, Wes is closer to the door, but dashing further to the right wouldn't put him inside the room, and slamming the door would probably hit him with it and lock him out as well. If anything, dashing any more would just cause him to be completely out of the room

Yeah fair enough, I hadn't considered you weren't the full way into the room. No further questions, your honour.

Quick note:

Since the only one that acknowledged the grenade was @Denzein, I'm considering it an auto-hit on Ariana and Niishi. While Zarya's lightsaber pull may have been interrupted, the grenade throw is a separate, independent action that doesn't really rely on the previous one.

I think you guys have your timing a little messy. The shots take place right after the explosion, literally a blink later. That would mean Harren would need to:

1. Get up
2. Get his head out of the ground to realize what's happening
3. Use a Force push

In the span of like half a second.

You can’t shoot that fast after the explosion unless you’re in the room as well in which case you’d be impacted. So with time shared, it would take a few seconds for Wes to come in and shoot which should be enough for Harren to interrupt.

Also you used your free hand to grab the door when you were force blasted outside. So your blaster is not readily available. Wes is dashing along the right wall, stands behind door, picks up his blaster which is on ground somewhere and then fires. All of this after the explosion. As such, I think that gives Harren plenty of seconds to execute his interrupt.

"In the event a grenade clattered to his feet, Harren would curse loudly in Deucalic while leaping behind the heavy chair the other sith had been attempting to move with telekinesis - using it as cover while continuing to get as far from it as possible before it went off, getting about 5 metres away while still being behind the chair."

Harren got behind the chair and moved beyond the blast radius of the grenade last round, meaning he wasn't on his belly having just dived or anything, he was up and moving and ready to respond. Both he and Wes would have to wait until after the blast, were in cover, and neither were affected by it, so they're essentially in the same position - That looks like a window for him to interrupt the shots, throwing Wes' aim off somewhat at least.

Where did we say the blaster is on the floor? Wes gave up on lifting it; I noted that he felt the attack coming as soon as he reached for the blaster, instead choosing to extend his arm out. Also, I can shoot while standing in the doorway. There's nothing hindering me.

I apologize, you are correct on the blaster statement.

It's no problem! I think your defense is more or less valid, so I'd be fine with you leaving it as it is

hey @Denzein, the timing of Zarya's actions seem to be off. I put references to her actions in her post. the backup saber pull would happen after the concussion grenade went off and while Wes would be drawing his blaster and coming out of cover at the same times of the shots

The grenade was not thrown this round. It was thrown last round before you posted and you didn't put up an opposition, therefore making it an autohit. You can't switch around now and cone up with a defense.

It’s not so much written as a defense but rather a response to the autohit. If you want me to remove the word defense from it, I can.

Most of your post is perfectly fine, but the stepping back isn't.

I just find it kind of dubious that you somehow got hit by a concussion grenade, then shot at by someone and didn't take a single hit. I get the shove making the shots go wild, but could you at least take a non-debiliating shot to the leg or something?

Fine, sounds reasonable. I’ll make edits when I get home tonight.
