I just hope that Christopher Nolan can keep up his game. He has Batman and Superman and an Inception video game to worry about.

Well he's only the producer of Superman. He'll have influence to help sheppard the franchise but, at the end of the day, Zack Snyder is the director.

I picked Catwoman from the start. Bane is an interesting choice though...I think itll be interesting to see Nolans take on him.

As for Quinn...just no. Shes nothing without the relationship with the Joker. Its a core factor of her character.

I was kind of hoping for Hugo Strange, if only just to see a decent incarnation of his character, I guess Arkham City will provide that.

Bane is a great character and has alot of potential in Nolan's universe, i'm a little pensive on a leatherclad, bodacious thief lady in his universe though, it doesn't really fit.

I wonder how many people said similar things about the Joker?

That'll be pretty easy, actually.

Pic looks a little less gritty than I've come to expect from Nolan's Batman, but I suppose it's just a promo still. He should do Bane quite well, although it's not difficult to come up with something better than the crap from Batman & Robin, I wanna see a Bane who can talk.

I didn't, and nobody I know did, we all knew the potential in the character.

It has potential to be slightly campy, based on the choice of actress. That's what worries me.

You saw potential in Nolan's Joker, played by Heath Ledger but are worried by Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle? Come on, it's Christopher Nolan, he's not tacky or camp. At best Selina Kyle will come close to villainy as something that's still going to be a million miles away from any other incarnation of Catwoman, especially Michelle Pfiefer's PVC attempt. Shame, I'd have liked to have seen Hathaway in that catsuit.

Every dramatic role i've seen her in, which judging by her roster is few, she's had this sort of new hollywood, preppiness to her, she's someone I just can't picture in a gritty, serious and dramatic environment with a straight face, but Heath Ledger? He was ****ing awesome in Brokeback Mountain, the scene with the fist fight at the fireworks display? Wow. I liked the way they were going in the interviews, a dark interpretation was all they would say and they had a perfectly capable actor to do it. Once the film was released, he wasn't just capable, he was astounding.

If they use her as a love interest i'll be unnereved, a problem I and apparently many critics had with the previous films, was that the love interests where just sort of tacked on, when Batman doesn't really need a love interest, just like Nolan's recognition that Robin doesn't fit into his universe. If she plays a minor role, like Scarecrow, I can see it working.

Bane is a great choice for a villain, IMO. Hes considered somewhat of an upstart, in his first appearance he actually takes down Batman when no one else could in years. Whats more, for all his bulk, he is quite intelligent (Despite some lesser portrayals.) and is even at one point a good guy since he and Wayne get a brotherly connection.

All and all, great choice by Nolan, and I cannot wait for it.
I was still hoping for a Penguin, Hush, or Prometheus.

I'm really bummed Nolan is only doing a trilogy as I would have loved to see some sort of incarnation of Robin and thusly the Red Hood.

I too would've wished for Hush. He had an interesting persona, plus his own origins are quite cool, being Batman's antithesis. He also came in quite unexpectedly. Just coming from out of nowhere to finally take down Batman.

As a side note, Christian Bale is quoted as saying "If they ever bring in Robin, I will tie myself to a tree and not come in to work."

I agree with Bale, although the look of 'Red Robin' is kind of cool, his story just wouldn't fit into Batmans at all in this interpretation.

... what? That's not possible, Batman Begins is the very beginning of Batman. Anything set before that wouldn't be Batman.

Exactly what I was thinking. It'd be like going through Bruce's childhood and life before even meeting Ra's al Ghul.

Somewhat interesting, but it just would not work.

I still like to think of the blonde kid in the Narrows (who saw Batman and said that the other kids wouldn't believe him, so Batman gave him the listening device or whatever it was) as Dick Grayson. It'd be cool if he was one of the first civilians to ever see Batman (in terms of what was on screen, he may very well have been), only to one day grow up and be his partner.

In Nolan's Batmaniverse Robin has never and will never exist. The kid may even be called Dick Grayson, but he'll never grow up to be Batman's partner.

Considering the convenient colouring of his attire I'd definately say it's at least a nod to the idea.
