Ok, nobody cares.

This thread is about BATMAN beating the shit out of Superman. Not your manga thing.

Protip #1: this isn't an anime

Sure looks like anime. :CStern:

Protip #2: Animated american Comics fall under the label of Animations which is then shortened into "anime". Therefore, the TV version of any and every Marvel comic falls within the category of "Anime".

No, anime is the Japanese crap. Everyone knows that. Don't play dumb.

Pardon me?

So far you've proven nothing. You've dropped a reference to an obscure... game? I don't see how its well, relevant, or y'know...useful.

Even if you do bum this thing, it doesn't change whether Superman would beat Bats or vice versa...

Alright then, any of these characters from Touhou or whatever it is practically invincible? Or... y'know... anywhere near Supermans league... at all? I mean, in Kingdom Come, Superman is resistant/immune to Kryptonite, and even more powerful than ever...

How are you ever supposed to beat that?

Mostly any Stage 5 or above boss from any of the game throughout the serie would win because they indeed are abusively powerful in their respective canon. I only referred to this because you originally said that it would be impossible.

EDIT: Dropping the subject because it is quite true that i'm driving the thread off-topic fast.

No, anime is the Japanese crap.

It doesn't have to be Japanese. That's a misconception. I think even wikipedia gets it wrong. :(

Japanese comics started because of Marvel and DC.

But that is off topic.

I think Superman would win.

You can be mighty in your own canon, and still not be a patch on superman. I genuinely don't think there's anyone in any other work of fiction that can truly rival him. The Sentry from Marvel might be able to survive an encounter, but you don't beat invulnerability.

I don't care how awesome Touhou characters are, or can be, you just don't beat Superman!

I would be glad to continue this conversation but as I mentioned in my Edit I'm getting this topic largely off the original adversaries. If you wish to continue this discussion My PM box and MSN are available.

Batman would win, he'd load Lois Lane up with so much Kryptonite when she went to kiss ol Clark he'd explode.

End of story.

No superhero could defeat batman. Batman's intellect is used by comic book writers as a cheap gimmick they can use to dig themselves out of plot holes. Batman is always one step away of his adversaries, and that is why he is virtually undefeatable. His intellect is a deus ex machina, which automatically trumps any superpower in existence.
That's probably the best summation of that length of Batman I have ever read. I tip my hat to you, good sir.
Protip #1: this isn't an anime

Protip #3: Why so serious?
Protip1: It uses the anime style and is a game from Japan. It's anime.

Protip2: No, it's not.

Anime (アニメ?, an abbreviated pronunciation in Japanese of "animation", pronounced [aꜜnime] ( listen) in Japanese, but typically /ˈænəˌmeɪ/ (help·info) or /ˈænəˌmə/ in English) is animation originating in Japan.

Protip3: Because I need to be.

Amongst the abilities of some members of the Touhou Cast you find people able to manipulate Fate itself, induce the very concept of death in any living being or even manipulating the boundaries between states and things, including the Borders of Past and Present or Border of Life and Death.

Protip1: It uses the anime style and is a game from Japan. It's anime.
The very term itself of Animation is something that is not present in the Touhou series, those are just portrays you see throughout the game. Besides, with this kind of logic just ANY drawing made by japanese people for you would be Anime.

Protip2: No, it's not.
Animes are a subcategory of Comic Animation and mangas are a subcategory of Comic Books only split by content and style. It's like if I told you Star Wars and Twilight were both movies but you denied it because they are of very different genres.

Your very definition proves that in its basis, anime is merely a type of "Animation" which, as conveniently brought up earlier by Sakae, is chronologically anterior.

Protip3: Because I need to be.
Let me put a smile on that face of yours.

You've never heard of the term deus ex machina before?

...Kids these days.

It's my favorite plot device in literature and drama.

You could have easily described it in English for people who don't know, though.

:CAbove:

Yes, I to love it when I invest my time in a story with characters to see the problem resolve itself with no input from any of them. It feels so fulfilling.

How can you like that?

Not in my writing, but I've always seen it as somewhat comedic.

Nevertheless, the point strays.

I'm not going to dumb down my posts just for a few people on this forum.

You just have to be all about antidisestablishmentarianism, don't you?
