Draco Virtus chuckled at Risho's comment of everyone being all charmed up. Taking a mouthful of his drink before setting it down empty as the bartender got him another one. He would take a long drag of his cigarra as he shook his head. "Nah, I'm not putting no charm on nothin'" He turned his head to laugh a little. "I barely get time to have a moment for a drink and smoke, I plan to enjoy it." with that he would take his new drink in his hand before simply shrugging. "You're more than welcome to sit here and yarn' with me." Taking a mouthful he would set it back down on the table as he over heard a lady freaking out amongst two others about how shit Rangers are.

"I bet they could've used some armored sector rangers down there, too."

It left a sour taste in his mouth considering 99% of the work he done was for the poor and defenseless in Tatooine. He was going to make a remark but instead he just kept smirking while looking at the bar and enjoying his cigarra. It seemed this party was pretty busy for the fellow party goers. Enjoying the view from the bar he would sit in silence and enjoy his drink and smoke. Still wearing his Mako 03 armour without his helmet he finally would tap the cigarra into the glass tray before turning to Risho. "To be frank, this holiday is just sum'n everybody uses to party..Another fresh start sort o' speak." He chuckled a bit as put the cigarra back in his mouth.

Well, if your love for your people is genuine then they are lucky to have your support." *Srucayr would say to Zale.* "And you can drop the mister. We don't have those on my side of space. Srucayr is fine."

Something that the other woman had said, though, had resounded in his core. She believed him to be one of the lazy rangers that neglected the lower levels.

They're not your people.

The Mandalorian would sigh before looking to the woman in the maroon shirt. "Where are these scum? The ones that plague you."

Siria's eyes lingered on Emryc before he would leave the group. Something about him made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. But it was too brief of an interaction for her to get a read off the man.

Turning her full attention back to the tall armored figure beside her she took a sip of the cheeper tihaar. The cerulean iris looked at the boots of the warrior with a slightly cocked head before raising up. This was the first full suit of armor being worn by an actual Mandalorian. Without any distractions it was a sight to behold, moreso than even the pieces that had been seen in museums or pictures.

The woman gave a smile as she tasted the beverage. Her eyes rose to the Mandalorian's visor once again while a free hand brushed some hair to the side. "What side of space is that, Srucayr?" Did he mean Mandalore? That was a dead world from what she heard. Maybe one of the other planets or corners of the galaxy. But it looked like the other woman captured the man's attention as well.

The comlink beeped in her pocket. Looking down she fished it out to check what the message read. It was a news headline +Trade to Utapau has ground to a halt + Her fist tightened around the device turning her pale hand into a white knuckled fist for a moment. The same news played silently on several of the holoprojectors in the bar. The news would go on to talk about the trade routes that went through Eriadu space towards other planets in the Galactic South.

Relaxing, the Senator let out a calmed breath and drank the rest of the Tihaar in her glass before setting it down on the bar a little harder than she intended. Come on Siria. Don't drink angry, be happy. Life day remember. You'll pick up and work tomorrow, after the hangover. Her eyes would look back to find Emryc if to do nothing else but see if he had actual dance skills.

Derna blinked three times, "You wanna dance?" She looked him over. Can he dance? He seemed fit and most guys she met at parties or bar didn't know shit about moving those legs and hips if their life depended on it. Kriff, couldn't hurt to see what happens. "Let's go," she took the shot of Tevraki whiskey and knocked it back before sliding off the stool and taking the wine-drinker's hand and leading him to the dance floor. That's right, she led him to the dance floor and not the other way around.

The floor wasn't too crowded yet and it was still early in the evening, so the only people already dancing where those that knew how to and enjoyed it. The folks without rhythm and with stiff hips would only dare after a couple of more drinks so they wouldn't notice they danced off beat. Derna looked at the stranger with a curious smile on her face as if she was sure she had just called him on a bluff while she started to subtly move to the music. "Come on now, pretty boy-" she muttered to herself, inaudible to the pointy ears over the music, "-better not be all talk."

There was an almost audible laugh from the mountain of beskar as Siria's head hit that tilt and started the trip from boots to visor. "Never seen a full set?" He'd ask, though with the other woman departing without answering his question, he'd just have to log his adventure to the crime ridden parts of the world later. "Mandalore. The world is dead, but my Clan refused to leave it. They've lived on Mandalore since the days of Mand'alor the First." He'd lift his helm once more to just over his lips and drain the glass before setting it back down.

One thing he did notice, however, was the sudden mood change as she read the alert. And despite it popping up right there before him and plastered on several of the projectors, he couldn't read any of it.
"And here I thought Life Day was cause for celebration." He said, allowing a joking tone to enter his voice. He'd remove his flask once more and fill his glass once more. "Care for another? Or do you want a drink you actually like?" He would take out a stack of creds and set them on the bartop, allowing his hand to cover them. And depending on her answer, he'd slide them over to the droid or not.

Emryc watched all three blinks, and he expected another tirade to come. He almost expected a slap and set his glass down first so it wouldn’t spill on his nice clothes. However, the woman instead threw her drink back and grabbed his hand to pull him to the dance floor. Emryc tilted his head back towards the bartender as he was dragged away, “Keep the tab open for the Senator.”

He focused back on the woman that took him out to the floor and glanced at her as the music began to pick up. There were few others dancing, and he didn’t move too much at first. Silver eyes observed her expression, the slightest little gestures. Sensitive ears picked up her words, but he didn’t react externally. For a moment he lightly swayed and moved to the same rhythm as her, not too different from the other less confident men out there.

It was when an upbeat song came on that he suddenly shifted his foot and stepped into a rock step, grabbing both her hands. She was suddenly a kite that he casually tugged and pulled at, moving her with him and taking her traveling on the floor. He twirled her out and pulled her back, keeping her light on her feet and with precision and control as he guided her through a club swing.

He twirled her into the cuddle step, pulling her in so her back pressed against chest while he had her hands. He leaned in slightly so his hair would just barely brush against her ear, “And what would you have me do besides talk?” He said simply before twirling her back out again so she looked at him again. Emryc gave a wink and acknowledgement that he heard her before. It was playful in nature, and he didn’t wait nor care for an answer as he took her and continued the dance.

Risho nodded and laughed with the Ranger beside him. Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out a square metal case.
“Well...I suppose I’ll join you in a smoke. A fresh start always sounds good.”. Opening the case to reveal his own cigarras. Taking one out he placed it in his mouth and lit it, taking it in and puffing out smoke. His eyes followed the woman who had just been complaining about the rangers, she was now dancing with a man. “Who knew...the best way to get the rangers help was through the pants of the nearest politician” Stifling a laugh as he talked. He assumed the man was a politician, well dressed, well spoken. Enough money to run up a tab for a senator. He knew the type, just like the aristocra on Csilla. Just one more glass, he thought as he placed a few credits on the table. “Same again please.” No need to mix drinks he thought, he’d just keep on the whisky. Mixing drinks would only make him feel terrible in the morning. The droid made his drink and placed it on the bar for him. Picking the glass up he took a sip and then flicked some ash into the nearest tray. “I mean, I’m not one to judge someone else’s actions. Complaining about the rangers in a room full of them and not addressing one just doesn’t sit right with me. I mean, what’s he going to do the next gang member torches a bar, throw money at them?”. Risho shook his head, if someone wanted to address a problem with the rangers it was best to go to the rangers he thought. Although her point could be seen as valid, he’d found that rangers didn’t come to coruscant much. However, coruscant had their own police force. The rangers couldn’t be expected to do everything.

For a wine-drinker he wasn't that bad of a dancer, Derna thought as she was twirled around. It was nice. For the shortest of moments she wasn't reminded of the destruction and death all around her. She caught some disapproving looks during her twirls or over the wine-drinker's shoulder, but you can't fault a person for trying to take their mind of the bad stuff. It's not like her apartment block didn't beg for someone to help, only to find help in a teenage Mandalorian that wasn't equipped to do it. It wasn't like the rangers meddling in the war between the Jedi and the Sith hadn't made them a target of a side known for its collateral damage. Despite all the rumors that it was Preef Callo that raided the evidence vault and thus released hundreds of hardened criminals back into her streets, it was the Sector Rangers that baited the Sith into attacking their headquarters in the first place. Wasn't the massacre on Corellia enough? Wasn't that prison break enough? How much civilian blood do these rangers want on their hands? Saving one life in the Outer Rim cannot atone for destroying millions in the Core.

Damnit, Derna's happy distraction was fleeting and she snapped back to reality when the wine-drinker whispered something into her ear. She missed a beat, her movements no longer in sync with him and she stepped forward with her left while she should've with her right, stepping on his fancy shoe in the progress. "Kriff," she quickly pulled her foot away, lost her balance a bit and grabbed him by the shoulders for support. "Sorrry, I'm-" she looked up, catching his silver eyes in her browns. It felt good to find support with him and she didn't want to let go just yet. "-thinking," she sighed, "too much." Her immense frustration over the failing ranger service and her own the duplicitous acts for a megacorp aside, she was suddenly thinking about something else entirely.

Kel Rollan stumbled into the bar already half drunk, and reeking of alcohol. Somehow, he had run out of alcohol at his apartment. A mistake that had to be rectified. Memories from his past were invading his mind and his only hope was to drink until hopefully he eventually forgot they ever occurred. Not likely to happen but at this point it was a tradition for him to try. He essentially forced his way past patrons, either stumbling into them, or leaning on them as he failed to maintain his balance until eventually he arrived at the bar. The bartender stared at him in disbelief, finding it hard to believe what this man who had entered the bar had just done. Kel remained oblivious, raising a hand and ordering. "Bottle of Tihaar." The bartender stared just a moment longer before shaking his head and replying. "Sir, I cannot serve you. You've already had one to many." Kel waved a hand and spoke, the force didn't come to him, it almost never did anymore. "You want to serve me." The bartender crossed his arms. "No. I don't. I want you to leave, before we have to escort you off the premises." Kel leaned his head back and sighed. "C'mon. Its life day." The bartender shook his head before turning around and grabbing a glass and the bottle. He raised two fingers. "Life day eve. But Two drinks. Then you're cutoff. You go bug someone else."

Kel smiled and watched the bartender fill the glass and quickly took it as soon as it was full, downing the entire contents. He could the burn and smiled. With what he just drank, hopefully he would be well on his way to making it through that night, and if he was lucky the next day as well without remembering a thing. Unwanted memories began to force their way into his mind and he frowned, grabbing the next glass and downing that. Dropping a credit chip of unknown value he stood up from the bar and stumbled forward once more. He looked around the place, it was chilly out, maybe he should stay here a while. See if he could get the bartender to let him have more drinks later, or maybe even . He looked around, trying to find an interesting character, maybe the Mandalorian also at the bar. He approached, maybe he could get the man into the habit of sharing. "Friendssss! How are we doing tonight?" He appeared to be in a conversation with someone but who cared! He brought his arm around the armored man, actually surprised that someone could match him in height. "Howsh your life day?" His own words were beginning to slur now.

Lorcan raised an eyebrow at the bartender as he served someone who really should have been cut off maybe two bottles ago at this point. As he stumbled down the bar he shook his head at the bartender in mock-surprise and disappointment.

“For shame - once upon a time, a fella couldn’t even get a cider after you said he was cut off.”
he smirked a little bit, “What, did my time away make you soft on drunks?”

The bartender rolled his eyes.

“Kark off, Lorcan, it’s Life Day.”

Lorcan picked up his own glass and stepped away from the bar with a little smirk on his face before finishing off his glass quickly.

“It’s Life Day Eve, jackass, so I guess I might be ruining someone’s Life Day… nothing new there.”

Wandering down the bar, he walked up behind the newcomer and the guy he kind of new from the force and from, well, the noodle place. He placed a hand on the new guy’s shoulder and patted him for a second before glancing at Roland.

“Roland is this guy bothering you?”
he grinned a little bit, turning to the newcomer, “Wanna bother me instead man? See I got a bottle of whiskey that needs drinking and I’m a gin guy myself - help a brother out?”

Taking a sip of the drink through his induction port, Roland turned in time to see Lorcan enter the bar. The Captain hadn't seen the private investigator in awhile but earned himself a nod. There was more noise now as the music began to get louder. One woman was loud only to get roped into dancing. Roland quietly watched at the bar, looking over others and seeing Rangers mixing with one another.

Turning a bit more he nearly had his drinking arm hit by a passing couple on the way to the dance floor. Keeping to himself for a bit, Roland watched as a man stumbled into the bar and came between @Srucayr who was having a discussion with @Siria Zale .

The Captain wondered if he was going to have to step in briefly. It had his attention at least to the point his hooded helmet was turned. The straw that slide beneath his helmet came back out.

"Roland is this guy bothering you?" The cloaked Ranger turned a bit more fully at his place at the bar and saw Lorcan continuing to address the heavily armored mandalorian next to him, thinking that was the Ranger captain. Most people didn't see Roland from behind and remember the cloak or notice any of the more specific details of his armor. A mandalorian was a mandalorian and if they had the same color, they were impossible to tell apart. At least that was the impression Roland got from Lorcan.

Pulling the hood off of his helmet fully, his visor looked betwee Lorcan and then shifted to the drunk. "Do I need to show you my badge to identify myself?" He said aloud but mostly towards Lorcan since it wasn't the first time tonight someone had mistaken Srucayr for the Rook. Hopefully the drunk would think twice about also making any poor decisions.

Srucayr was not accustomed to outsiders touching him. And here, in the span of maybe a mere few minutes, he had been touched. Twice. And to make it worse, they even thought he was someone else. The first thought that entered his mind was putting the drunks head through the bar then removing the hand that had touched him. It was brief, the thought. One gauntlet clenched to release the need to kill as he remembered his company. He was sure the senator didn't need to be in a bar sprayed by the blood of a removed limb.

Jaw clenched one hand would move to rest on Kel's back, as if they were friends, or if he changed his mind he could still slam him. "It's my first." he would reply to Kel "And yours?" he managed to keep his tone level. "Many new faces, some even mistaking me for others." his visor would shift to Lorcan with the second half of his words. "Apparently, he's more of a Tihaar drinker."

Then the third sudden arrival. As his visor shifted, there was a pause. The helm looked Mandalorian and by the look of it, was beskar. This night would suddenly only go one of two ways: either he found kin in the core worlds, or a skin stealer, which meant one of them was leaving in a bag. And as much as he lived for battle, he really didn't want his drink to turn into a brawl. "You must be this.. Roland. He's drunk, enjoying revelry. I wouldn't worry about if he tried to do something."

Emryc could tell the woman was still reeling from her earlier thoughts. There were Rangers looking over and grumbling without anything better to do. Unfortunately, the woman clearly took it to heart and relapsed to her earlier emotions. Now, Emryc had an extensive amount of patience, but he was here to enjoy himself. He glanced down and offered a polite smile as the woman abruptly clutched him, gently leading her through the end of the song.

He stepped back and gave another smile, “I think we ought to refill on drinks, don’t you?” Emryc said before he strode back towards the bar. As he passed a waitress, the Force nudged ever so lightly, entirely too subtle for anyone to ever pick up. Said waitress carried a tray with two drinks that happened to be walking by the table with Risho and Draco. The waitress gasped as she lost her footing, sending the glasses flying and crashing on Risho, drenching him in alcohol.

“I’m so sorry sir!” The waitress shrieked as she quickly grabbed napkins to help clean up, “I just tripped, so sorry!” She apologized profusely.

Emryc was across the room, no change in expression as he returned to his seat beside the Senator and ordered himself a Corellian whiskey.

Life Day was something she ought to be spending with her buir in the privacy of their living quarters back in the covert but here Reiel was, stuck babysitting some random politician's teen kid.

Scratch that. Done babysitting some random politician's teen kid.

Reiel was far from being materialistic, but the promise of a good pay was too tempting to pass up. She'd have creds for the clan's needs and an extra budget to buy gifts for the foundlings. Ankle biters. Tiny (well, not all of them) gremlins. She loved them to bits.

Her despondency led her to the nearest establishment she could find that promised warmth, enjoyment, and company. Reiel took in the sight as she stepped inside, bombarded by celebratory cheers and bright lights. A reluctant grin appeared on her face, immediately drawn towards the DJ droid playing some Life Day classics on the background.

No live band? That's no good.

Reiel strode towards the droid, eyes drawn towards a microphone. If she couldn't sing Life Day songs for the clan's entertainment, then she sure as hell would sing to them in spirit. Quick to request a song, the droid seemed to shrug before complying.

In true un-Mandalorian fashion, Reiel lifted the mic and began to sing, her voice soft and sweet despite her helmet's modulator.

"Last Life Day, I gave you my heart.
But the very next day, you gave it away..."

Much to Siria's pleasant surprise, Emryc showed off his moves for several people in the cantina to admire. The Senator wouldn't hide her momentary approval. Part of her liked just the fact the woman who had been shouting a moment ago was now dancing.

Srucayr spoke up and Siria, let the drink begin to hit her. The prospect of more drinks was an interesting one. It wasn't that Siria didn't like Tihaar. It was more along the lines that she was just going to be plastered before it struck midnight if she kept going. Against her better judgement, she thought it best to try her hand in mando'a. <"Ahem"> That was about as far as she got before a drunk came nearly slamming into the bar between her and Srucayr.

The Senator would look with only her eyes at the rest of the Tihaar bottle that was still on the bar. "Di'kut" Her mouth was catching up to her mind about the drunk now. It was probably good she stop drinking. The opposite side of her peripheral took in the fact that others had come closer.

Siria held up a hand with her index finger raise to the closest of the two Mandalorians "Talir'as dar'ni" A bit of a concordian accent which may have made her sound dismissive towards the drunk and the other two wait two? she did a double take on the two blue armored Mandalorans now facing mostly away from the bar and addressing the two men closest to the Senator. "I'll be back." She hesitated a moment as she got off of her chair and then decided to grab her glass and the bottle of Tihaar.

The Senator would see Emryc take a seat and knew it was best to get some distance from whatever it was growing between the four columns of testosterone. "You ever try tihaar Mr Vance?" She set her glass on the table before pouring a few fingers into the glass. Setting the glass down she would sit across from him, eyes looking around to see if anybody in particular was looking her, or his, way.

As Zale spouted out in Mando'a the visor shifted to her. "Don't." The tone was stern, but not threatening. As she stole the bottle of tihaar and wandered towards the 'philanthropist' his visor would shift back to the other three. The arm around Kel would sling him into the vacant bar stool to Srucayr's other side. "Stay." Was all he said.

When the singing voice started, Srucayr's visor would shift to the source. "Hmmm." Without another word to the other three men, he tapped the bar top. As the droid set down a fresh bottle, he'd grab it from the droid, sliding the creds from earlier forward.

If unopposed, he would then grab a fresh two glasses and leave the bar, heading to the space before the small rise where the singing was. Sitting at a table close to where Reiel was singing, he'd lower into one of the chairs, removing the harness that held his two-handed beskad. As he sat, one had would grip the pommel as it rested against his armored thigh, and the other would pour out two glasses of tihaar.

The visor would occasionally shift around the bar as his fellow Mandalorian sang, drifting from the trio, to ensure the drunk wasn't up to no good, then to the senator. He didn't trust the pointy eared man at all and the woman was the first kind one to him since he had arrived in-system. It would then shift to Rook, his apparent dopplerganger despite the obvious differences in their beskar before traveling back to Reiel.

He would get more comfortable, maybe he felt safer with if not one, but two more kin in the area. And despite not knowing the songs, his eyes would close beneath the helm as he listened to his kinswoman sing.

True to his word, Morgan arranged for the woman's drink to be paid for. He was just nice like that sometimes. Besides, watching Emryc dance was something entirely more interesting. He seemed to be enjoying himself, even if it was all a game. The woman did seem rather preoccupied by everything going on. Well it was Life Day, after all. Best to enjoy it while it lasted.

Eventually the dancing and the music stop and the young man's eyes wandered elsewhere, sweeping over the room. Sure was Mandalorian in here. That fellow with the wearable antique seemed very serious, but yet another of them wandered in from the street and walked over to the mic. Should he? Well. It was Life Day, after all.

Morgan stood up from his seat and slipped around the chaos of a waitress dumping drinks on some guy he wasn't paying attention to on his way to the DJ droid and the mic along with it. Like a proper karaoke set up it had more than one. The Mandalorian began to sing and he slipped in on the third line, smoothly harmonizing with the helmeted stranger and being careful not to sing any louder. He was clearly very familiar with singing, as a certain someone among the crowd could attest.

Kel turned to look at the man who offered him corellian whiskey as if he was a saint sent down just to him. Before the Mandalorian he was harassing could even fake being nice by placing his arm around Kel's back Kel was already halfway to the only friendly man in the room. "Of course I'll bother you." Before he could reach the nice man someone else dressed like a Mandalorian interfered, threatening to arrest him. Cold anger that he thought he pushed deep, deep down rose to the surface temporarily before he squashed it. Not here. Kel found his hand in a fist as he looked down and relaxed it, slowly. He was a Sector Ranger, just doing his job. Play it off, you are in control of your emotions.

Kel forced a smile on his face, before wagging a finger in Roland's face. "Itsh Life Day. You wouldn't arresht someone on Life Day." Situation "defused" Kel turned around and focused on apparently the only real friendly person in the bar. He grabbed a seat and dropped hard. "Doeshn't burn like Tihaar. But whishkey is fine." He didn't even wait for the consent of the man, before pouring very very heavily into two glasses. He looked up as heard singing to see yet another Mandalorian and he stared at the glass of whiskey in front of him. Maybe he had to much, he wasn't just seeing double he was seeing triple.

When a Mandalorian entered a bar, people would quickly assume that said warrior was here for a bounty – or maybe even go as far as to wreak havoc just for the fun of it. Savages, her people were once called. And so it wasn't really a surprise to Reiel when some of the patrons seemed a bit dumbstruck by the sight of a Mando warrior striding into the bar to sing.

"Last Life Day, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away.
This year, to save me from tears

I'd give it to someone special."

It didn't take long for a small crowd to gather before her, drawn by her voice and the song itself. She wouldn't blame them. Come to think of it, the Life Day classic she was singing was not really intended for the celebration itself – the theme was laughably far from it. Some poor di'kut who got himself dumped by his lover, and Life Day being a reminder of his failed relationship.

Who wrote stupid songs like this?

And she might as well consider herself stupid for choosing to sing said stupid song.

Her singing had caught the attention of a few distinct individuals, that much she could see. A fellow Mandalorian clad in a seemingly antique cuirass, armed with an honest to goodness beskad on his hip. The weapon reminded her of another Mandalorian she met before who carried the same kind of weapon. She wondered how Gett'se might be doing. Was he on a job like her on Life Day or simply spending the holiday out there? Whatever he was doing she could only hope that he was doing fine.

There was another man, looking scruffy and about to keel over from drunkenness. Reiel had no idea who the guy was, but she was kind of worried that he'd had too much to drink. He gave off the distinct look that he was already seeing double, eyes seemingly glazed over and all. But he also appeared intent to keep on drinking, and she thought it best to leave him to his devices. Not her business if he wanted to get absolutely smashed or something.

"Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye."

The third one did catch her eye, but more so her hearing. She made space for him on the platform, gaze trained on the young man as he picked up a mic and joined her in singing. It did not escape her notice how the young man – a Firrerreon by the looks of it, but she could be wrong – made the effort to not sing louder, but the way he perfectly harmonized with her modulated voice rendered said effort useless. A smile lit Reiel's face as they sang together, voices blending smoothly. She would turn to face him, nodding her helmeted head at him and giving him a curtsy.

"Tell me, baby, do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me."

This should be fun. Perhaps she could still enjoy the celebration even if she's far from family and home.

Roland watched the man, and while his visor looked cold an unimpressed, the Ranger Captain underneath showed a mild expression of amusement. Lorcan and the drunk didn't seem to have any ill intent and nobody's buzz was ruined except maybe Srucayr. The mountain of armor seemed peeved and moved away from the bar after the Senator left to Join the Sephi looking male.

Another Mandalorian entering the room caught Roland's eye. They were not a member of the Sector Rangers either but the armored individual found her way to the microphone. Someone else joined her and the Captain wondered if he should sing a Mandalorian song. There were a few he had recovered from the droid recordings on Jedha. Some were songs he had heard before. There wasn't a Solus present though, as far as Roland knew, that was willing to sing. For a reputation of being especially stubborn and relentless, they knew how to party. Maybe I'll get up there eventually.

A hand raised and he ordered another drink for himself, a fresh straw swiftly dropping into the glass like the one before it. Do I know any happy songs? There were plenty of chants of conquest and kicking butt. Maybe he could think of something or have to tweak the lyrics.
