Anyone is welcome to join, it's somewhat of a social/just for fun
Arla frowned and squinted as she watched the auctioneers rattle off words so quickly that she couldn't actually understand... most of what they were saying.

Sold!

Well, she got that one at least. The fathier on auction was sold off to one of the wealthy-looking individuals who was a species she didn't recognize.

The intensity of the moment faded as the auction called for the midway break and beings started to disperse to use the privy, order more drinks, and mingle.

Despite having put on a more fine set of robes for the event, Arla still felt profoundly out of place here. She'd come with the hopes of either bidding on one of the animals or at least getting a feel for how this worked so that she could bid at a later time. After all, her Fathier ranch dream had to start somewhere. Add in the comment by her mother that "you may not like diplomacy, but it would benefit you to have at least one diplomatic bone in your body" she decided she could at least watch how these snobby socialites mingled amongst themselves.

Ultimately, she'd decided to order another drink for herself and head in the direction of the viewing stables because whether she was here to socialize or not, she felt far more comfortable with the animals than all these people.

While it wasn’t very often that Jayna attended these sort of auctions in person, she couldn’t deny her excitement upon arriving in Cantonica - and for good reason. Among the other antiques and livestock being sold, a gorgeous Induparan Talbuk from a prestigious bloodline - known for producing Champion show and racing stock - had been placed for auction. From a young age, the Quarter-Sephi had developed a love for equestrianship - going so far as to complete in a multitude of races across the Consortium.

While she hadn’t even advanced into professional competition, it remained a passion for the heiress - and she couldn’t resist attempting to bid on the stallion.

As the auction entered its recess, Jayna left her private box and began to make her way towards the stables - wanting to get a better look at the Talbuk. Naturally, she was dressed in her finest designer clothes - blending right in with the crowds of wealthy elites. She wore a black turtleneck and white pants, with an emerald green blazer pulled over the top. Her outfit was accessorized with a few expensive rings and necklace, an aurodium chrono and a pair of sunglasses easily worth several thousand credits.

A single Blackwell droid trailed at the end of the room - keeping tabs on the Thorne heiress from a distance. While she would’ve preferred to go without a security detail whatsoever, trying to convince either of her father’s was next to impossible.

As she reached the viewing stables, Jayna lifted the sunglasses and perched from atop her dark hair - silver eyes flicking around before finally landing on the Talbuk. It was a gorgeous and strong stallion to behold - boasting a dark blue coat and signature iridescent plume of feathers along its mane and the tip of its tail.

Electra loved such occasions. They were just the right setting for a Queen, in the midst of more wealthy, influential people, good drinks, soft music and interesting bidding rounds - hopefully at least. The prospects of the night were good, even better because she obviously wasn't alone...

She wore a new, stupidly expensive, golden, shimmering dress and had her hairs in soft curls. The shoes were in a nude tone and she had a little, shiny, golden clutch with her. She entered the auction hall with Covax, knowing damn well that no one actually knew her face here, and even if, it wouldn't be an issue.

"If they've got some Nexu, I might buy some...my pride can use some additions. You should meet them soon...they're fun" she said to him, jade eyes flicking up as they still strode through the hall. There was chatter all around, some expensive fragrances hung in the air and the room was currently filled with the chants of the auctioneers.

They had met at the Port and it was their first time meeting again after well, the first time after the slave transport. Still, the prospects of seeing him again had actually excited her and she was in an extraordinarily good mood, judging from her usual mood.

Oxyotyl moved through the crowd gracefully, the rubies embroidered in his top softly glittering in the light. His left hand was tucked into its corresponding pocket as if he was casually holding it in there, but in actuality it was getting the crippled limb out of the way. Occasionally he stopped along the way to talk with another person or two, smiling the best he could and faking joy at meeting or re-meeting these people. He was here to relax not to talk with people he did not enjoy.

Beside him strode his BD‐5 medical droid and two body guards, one guard on each side of his flank and careful to not step in their boss' tail. Two other guards were in plain clothes, mixing and mingling with the crowd. The small group had a cochlear comlink inside their ear, with occasional updates from one of the known guards on their movement and position. The two plain clothed guards made their vague way in that direction so they could quickly make it towards their VIP and protect him.

He made his way over to the bar and ordered his guards and himself a drink and payed for them before making his way away. He wanted to go and see the Fathiers in person, to best look over them and find the best ones he should bid on. It took him somewhat longer than it would a biped, what with his long tail and not being in a rush, but in his own time he made it. He slithered up and down the stalls, his hand occasionally reaching into the stalls and examine the creatures. He saw several others in, yet one stood our. He knew she was uncomfortable here and knew how she was feeling out of her element.

"Thiss one iss good and sstrong, though he may not look it." His gruff voice purred, a silky growl laced behind every word. "The one three doorss down, well thatss the one they will claim iss truly the besst due to breeding. Nothing more than a legacy bloodline, for he iss not ass great ass hiss father. Number eight and fourty-sseven are ssolid backup choicess incasse this one iss ssold, though go no more than twenty-five hundred on eight." He spoke aloud, as if to the air, but by the way his head was leaned it was clear it was towards Arla. He didnt look at her, he simply looked towards the animals.

Covax seemed to be finding himself at more and more of these kinds of events. It was interesting to him how the higher he got in the galactic underworld, the higher he also seemed to get among the rich and powerful. In this case however, it was a little work and a little pleasure. The vanguard had been asked to join the Queen of the Mid-Rim during this little outing so she could flaunt him around...Her words exactly. While at the same time Senator Hipori had asked Tenloss Interstellar to provide security for the high prices animals up for auctions.

So here he was, arm and arm with Electra in her jaw dropping dress. In what was quickly becoming his go to look for events such as these. An tailored black on black suit, perfectly fitted to his physique while still able to conceal his holdout pistol. On his wrist was a matte black chrono that cost more than his bodyguard droid. A recent gift from @Emryc Thorne after bailing out his son Ezra from loosing a very similar priced piece.

Covax lifted a questioning eyebrow at his date for the evening. "You have an entire pride of Nexu? W..Why?" He questioned in a somewhat playful tone. "Wait who am I do talk, Aska wants me to find her new Rancor a playmate. So who am I to judge." He sighed. Pulling her a little closer as they walked from her reserved box and down to hall where others had started to gather.

Like many of the guests, the couple would be trailed by a pair of bodyguard droids. While a six other security droids roamed the stalls and meeting areas, another six waiting as a QRF should the need arise. All were well armed with medium weapons set for stun. Covax was not about to have a mishap like the beach party held by Terra Lanris not long enough ago.

They would casually make their way toward the stalls to see what they had, and because he knew Electra would want to mingle with her own kind. All Covax could think about was, how in the force was he going to get her out of that dress later.

The redheaded woman was intrigued by the rapid pace of the auction; she was here for other business and decided to look for an opportunity for further network with others of high standing and full pockets. She had been to auctions once or twice, but nothing like this, and certainly not for thoroughbreds like the fathier that was displayed for auction. At first she seemed confused, watching the credits tick upward before the bidding really started to become intense. She followed closely between the last two bidders, her attention solely focused as to who would drop first.

It was a cruel game of anticipation and there was nearly a thrill to it as the result was anyone's guess. Once over, Tiamat rose from her seat, smoothing out her dress and flipping her long red wavy locks of hair over her shoulders and then headed to the bar to grab herself a drink.

There was a familiarity in the hall despite not recognizing faces immediately until she started to slowly weave through the crowd. A part of her did not enjoy the number of individuals present, it seemed like a perfect storm for a disaster to occur even with the numerous security details present. Tiamat found a path out of the crowd, approaching the stables of the talbuks; though others were present to observed the creatures, there was one the woman was most familiar, "He's gorgeous, don't you think?" Tiamat asked Jayna (@Altaris).

A vast rumbling belch omitted from his frame as Nor'baal shuffled on his throne and gently thumbed the controls to bring it to a halt. It had simply been months since he had last been to an auction and years since he had set foot on Cantonica. Heading to the Casino world for the festive seasons, Nor'baal had already blasted away hundreds of thousands of credits on the Zinbiddle tables and intended to do just the same at the auction.

<Kung.> he grumbled as he looked over the other bidders. There was a cluster of humans, the half-brain scug-beast from the Cymorrah, a handful of suspect-looking Imperial and what looked like a miniature version of the Consortium President. He rolled his eyes as he looked at what seemed to be a walking lizard alien - wondering how one of the resident slaves had managed to get into the auction house.

Nor'baal was not alone. He never travelled in such a manner these days, as Supreme Mogul of the Hutt Clans, the slug was a well-protected individual, his Yacht idling on the landing pad outside the auction house, with a squadron of Baatil fighters in escort. Around him stood his guard, four Gamorreans with their repurposed armour, liberated from the failed Mandalorian attempt on his life - and thus cast in their infamous iron. Accompanying them came four Nikto, unarmed by looking rather irate.

He had a pistol stashed in the arm of his throne, which he had carried with him ever since the Killik had tried to make him in a snack a few months back. All in all, the Hutt was more paranoid than ever - but he wasn't going to let that stop him from having a good time.

His eyes practically lit up overhearing a young humanoid female talking about Nexu. <Jee doth tee bla yae caiot mot ree cuebat cua luto mee dokoi datka. Jeejee Yih gee woy boya see hoohah du tee keueketkoha che rohceua.> he boomed, puffing his chest out with pride, even as a 3PO unit standing on his throne translated into basic.

"His Glorious Majesty, Mogul Nor'baal, is pleased to make your acquaintance, Queen Juvexia." the 3PO unit added, clocking who the human was and seeking to avoid his master causing offense "My master is interested in learning more of your peoples involvement in the Nexu trade?" it added, as Nor'baal scowled, and puffed on his hookah pipe.

Next, the Hutt turned his attention to Covax, scowling even more as he spoke <Wa Bacotohoda? Wa kaae meoo che mee bonsa, nobata?> he sneered at the man, knowing he understood Huttese, and therefore waving for his droid to not add a translation.

Posing for your picture to be taken is a significantly bigger investment when you're going old school and having it sculped from the galaxy's finest marble to serve as yet another magnificent statute to adorn Juvexia. It was going to be a birthday gift that he would present to his mother, of course. Time was something that he had plenty of as his mother had tried sneaking off again for one of her adventures.

Oedi wasn't about to rat his mother out anyway, but the pragmatic woman had thrown a large bag of credits his way and insisted that he spend them on a full body mani-pedi-and full-body treatment. She always knew the quickest route to his vanity, accepting the coin with a glimmer of appreciation. Though in this case he'd already been taken care of by his usual and thus the credits could be used on something more fun.

After careful consideration, he called up someone his mother had been begging him to spend more time with. @Alhon

Something about how it was time to leave the nest or something and do the family proud. It was nice that she thought of him so carefully, and strategically. If he was to stay restless at home into his adulthood, it would get suspicious if he spent so much time around the home but this way he would have a perfect alibi.

Regardless it would be fun to have someone else to play with and if walking around a dumb auction house would give him an opportunity to blow a tonne of credits on something stupid, all the better. Though he couldn't stay too late as he wouldn't dare miss his evening honeyed oil bath, lest his skin bares the full brunt of the recycled air alone.

Electra enjoyed the easy fun that resulted from inconspicuously observing, analyzing and judging the countless, diverse visitors that had found their way to Cantonica tonight. Covax was looking and auctions could be fun, especially if successful and so far it looked promising. "They're sweet...and fiercely protective" she smirked up at him, wondering whether he'd be afraid in their first encounter. Nexu were beautiful and dangerous and that was something the two of them had in common as well. "A playmate for a rancor? See...now that's exotic". She slightly chuckled, wondering if rancors were even interested in playing with other creatures. Another question came to her mind and those jade eyes mischievously flicked back up, but before she could say another thing, something huge approached from the side.

It was a large, hovering metal sledge topped with no one else but Nor'baal the Hutt. She wasn't surprised he attended such events, but she wondered how she had caught his attention. She could answer this question to herself after a moment though, realizing that she had Covax by her side, but even if she couldn't quite tell since when she had been so deeply involved in the criminal scene she was happy about the broad shouldered man's company, and so she looked at the gaint slug (@Nor'baal ) with a raised eyebrow, watching him brabble unintelligibly until the droid was kind enough to finally translate that gibberish, however knowing well that the 3PO unit was probably rephrasing its master's words in a nicer manner.

She wished her husband (also @Nor'baal) showed as much interest in her and her Nexu as the Hutt though, which was literally ironic, but well, so was the fact that she was here with Covax at what ought to be their second date in a way. The irony's twisted climax was that one of her sons (@Xorism) was here as well, but so far she had no idea until that point anyway. "Oh. What a pleasure to meet you" she lied, her tone deceptively sweet, "We don't actually trade though. I enjoy the simple pleasures of their company" no one had to know they were often the reason for the minimization of her often clueless servants as well and they were just another means of maintaining control for her. The slug puffed on his hookay and she was disgusted by the slimey body, yet her cold expressions betrayed none of them. "If you're interested in cubs, I might be able to spare...". A faked polite smile followed, the fact that Huttese was none of the languages she understood annoying her.

Arla sipped her wine as she made her way through the stalls, eyes falling across not just the animals on auction but also the many people who had come to see them. She tried to keep herself from scowling as her eyes fell on a Hutt, remembering her last and very unpleasant run in with one of the slugs.

She hadn't yet spotted Tiamat among the crowd when a reptilian - Trandoshan or Barabel maybe but she wasn't sure - made his way over to her and started talking about the animal she stood in front of.

She reached up and extended a hand, beckoning the creature to lower its head where she scratched it gently on the forehead. She had always loved animals, often more than people.

You seem quite well informed about fathier, she said, trying to maintain a diplomatic tone that her mother had told her to work on. She hated "small talk" and wondered now if she got that from her father. He wasn't exactly known for his tendency to engage in any kind of petty dialogue.

More wine, yeah, she thought, taking another sip.

Gambler, breeder, or racer? she asked him, assuming he had to be one of those to have such strong opinions about the topic. Still, she considered his insights, though she would be wary of purchasing based on the recommendations of any stranger.

This kind of thing was completely Electra's scene. If it were for his date, and the money he was getting paid to look after the even he could care less about over priced exotic pets, of any kind. However he was getting paid, and so even though his droids were doing their job. He could not help but keep scanning his surroundings, and like any straight man. The first thing he noticed is that he was suddenly swimming in a sea of beautiful women and all of them dressed to the nines.

"I do believe you are the first person to even call a Nexu sweet." He said smirking, returning most of his attention to Electra. He'd never been close enough to one to think of it as anything but deadly. The hulking human was also in no hurry to change that. "Well, playmate, chew toy, meat bag. It's also not very sweet and just as likely to eat you as it is your enemies. Just like your....pets." He added playfully.

Covax looked into the woman's jade eyes, expecting her to fire back with a quip but found her attention torn. The reflection in her eyes came to focus, just as the smell started to linger. The human sighed in irritation and turned to meet the sled, more so than the slug. Then he looked into what was mostly gut and was forced to take a couple of steps back, with Electra still arm and arm.

"Yes, we're just full of surprises. Like running the known galaxy while Hutts still toil around in the swamps. As they have more a millennia" He spat back of the Crime Lord in actually decent Huttese. The two Syndicate leaders then seemed to square up and glare at one another. Covax's left hand grasping the edge of his suit jacket. "Did have to pay a single credit for it. Found it all alone sleeping in his pen. Even had a name, Pank I think." Covax continued. "Couldn't find the owner though. Shame."

Covax gave the slug a devilish grin then, knowing the Hutt would know exactly what, who, and were the human was speaking of. Seeing that Electra did not know the slugs tongue, the Crymorah boss quickly returned to basic as he added to her last comment. "Absolutely a couple of Nexu cubs, maybe even a Rancor pup. You Hutts do so love your pets."

Nor'baal realised as soon as the Juvexian started her reply that he quite simply didn't care for it. As she started to talk about Nexu, the Hutt rolled his eyes and drooled laboriously before being gently reminded by his sense of self-preservation that it was probably necessary to feign at least interest with someone evidently involved with a rival.

"Her Majesty suggests that -" he cut the droid off mid-sentence, unwilling to have the unit try to reframe the words spoken to him into a more palatable tone of Huttese, and instead barked back <Jeeska da giw, la doth dauah koutaioze ree da baza, kiuke bacaka mee tam yagce bauban bai mee gohnee.> he sneered, utterly aware that Covax could understand every word he was saying.

Quickly, his droid lept into action "His majesty thanks you for your kind offer, but must on this occasion decline as his pit-breeding focus is elsewhere." it said, completely spinning its master's words into something less offensive.

Covax comment regarding his cousin's own Rancor concerned him, however, not that he allowed it to show in his expression. Ord Mantell, as far away from Hutt Space as it was, nonetheless was the territory of a Hutt, and thus, something for him to look into. He would need to check to make sure Mordeth was well, and that the Cymorah had not overstepped the mark as their predecessors had fatefully done.

<Jee tanee che wa kacanka siw da mee yanee dayan dah danwohoba bai pasa doe.> he replied cuttingly, disregarding his comment about the glorious swamps of the Hutt homeland, and not seeing it for the insult it was.

Gunner caught word of an auction happening in this area, and that a lot of money would be getting stored here. As well as valuable cargo that can be sold to the highest bidder later. Gathering some of his crewmates, he would arrive in fashion and decide to get as much info from the attendants as he could before he struck. Captain Granger would be thoroughly pleased with the success of this mission, and may even give Gunner a slight promotion for it.

Walking around while his crewmates would take their places and enjoy the sight of the place, Gunner would notice a few very notable faces. Choosing not to make eye contact, he would keep his mind and sight on a specific person, @Arla and would make his way over to conversate. Hopefully she had some knowledge on these prizes, and if not her then the snake man should. Either way he had options.

"Prize beasts wouldn't y'all say? I just hope I get my money's worth." Gunner would try to start of conversation with conversation. When he came up he did catch the backend of the two's conversation and it seemed he may have hit the jackpot in the snake man. Seemed to know his stuff pretty well. Might even be open to make a good deal. Less he were working this event then maybe he could be a pawn. As for the girl, well eye candy my friend.. eye candy indeed.

Jayna kept her arms folded across her chest, silently eyeing the Talbuk on display. It was one of the most beautiful specimens she’d laid eyes on to date - and the Quarter-Sephi was determined to win the auction whenever the beast was brought up to the stage. He had the potential of being a decent racing and show stallion, and would undoubtedly prove a quick return on investment.

She didn’t miss the conversations occurring all around her - silver eyes flicking to her peripheral to take it all in. Jayna allowed her gaze to linger on Arla for a moment before settling on the reptilian individual beside her - and couldn’t help but muse that the Slussi was on the wrong side of the stables. Fortunately, he hadn’t spotted Jayna and the heiress wasn’t about to engage of her own accord.

Though she caught tidbits of the conversation all around her - and couldn’t miss the bulbous Hutt that lumbered into view - Jayna paid it all little mind. Instead, her gaze whipped around at the sound of a familiar voice. At once, the ice in her gaze melted away - uncommon warmth spreading across her features. “Auntie Tia,”

She didn’t hesitate to step towards the woman, throwing an arm around Tiamat and pulling her into a hug. The Quarter-Sephi had known Tiamat since birth - and had always known the woman to come around as an extended part of the family. Whether it was during holiday dinners or whenever she wanted to do things that neither of her fathers would allow, Jayna knew that her aunt was there.

“I certainly think so,” She jutted her chin back to the Talbuk. Her brow arched ever-so-slightly. “Thinking of putting a bid?”

Arla watched as a new individual wandered up to address her and the reptile man whose name she hadn't caught. He looked young as well, and she wondered if he was born into money like so many others here.

Certainly seems like it, she agreed, though the more people who came up and insisted this fathier was an excellent purchase, the more she wondered if they were all plants to get her to bid. Or - more likely - she was just inherently distrustful of others.

Seems the real trick is to pick winners who aren't inherently from known bloodlines, she mused aloud, suddenly realizing that communicating with the animal's ur-Spirits could probably help her determine precisely that. She realized she may actually be able to make no small amount of money off of this venture if she pursued it.

Are you looking to bid on him, then? she asked the man given he'd mentioned getting his money's worth.

Apart from the feeling of being watched, Arla didn't seem to give any other acknowledgment of the woman who was watching her. Frankly, it seemed like everyone here was watching everyone. No, actually, that wasn't right. Most of these people were far too oblivious of nerfs to be watching anyone, but there were a handful of saberwolves among the flock.

The serpents head slowly turned to the incoming male as his tounge quickly shot out and flicked back in. He gathered the scents around him, seeing who the other two really were. He could not gather information from like their chain code, but he could determine their health or if they are hiding something. The woman, she seemed to be like a hunter seeker: after her goal and ready to plow through the competition if any were to arise. She probably would be here to get her own creature here, that's why anyone would be by the stables, but the use for such creature would be unknown to him unless he would pry.

"Reptiless have the ability to ssensse many asspectss of other beingss through ssmell. Pheromoness tell all about a being. Their health, their mood, their genetic line if you are careful. I for one undersstand that you mammalian beingss cannot gather thiss, but it sstill iss quite a helpful ability to have." His tounge flicked out again, this time in the direction of the male. He knew just by the look of him that this being was not of a noble caliber. He had good looks, but it was just the skin stretched over the being beneath. He understood though that he was not always right when he has assumed beings based on their pheromones, but usually he was, so he decided to keep it to himself. He still gave a soft flick of his tail to signal to his bodyguards to close in just in case.

"I am Oxyotyl Quetss'l'cotl, the pressident of Ssluiss Van Shipywardss and Governor of Ssluiss Van." He leaned forward to the woman, his torso rotating slightly to the right as his hand extended to her. "I wass thinking about invessting into some of the creaturess here, but I undersstand you, madame, musst be atleasst eyeing some of them up for your own goalss. Either you are sstarting ssomething or your adding to a collection, but you phrassing informss me it iss the prior." He paused a moment, before speaking again as his eyes sweeped between the two. "If I may assk, to whom do I have the pleassure of sspeaking with?"

Arla wasn't sure how to take the snake-man's comments, and the mention of genetics made her wonder if it was some kind of a veiled threat. She hadn't come here for a fight, but... well, she was getting ahead of herself.

Sluis Van. She'd never been, but she knew it was Imperial and had a shipyards. In the Southern Reaches where she rarely traveled, but Imperial regardless.

Arla, she offered after a moment. Thinking of purchasing some as well, though I haven't decided if that will be today or another time, she said.

As she spoke, she continued to scratch the Fathier's cheek, it's ears flicking slightly in joy as she continued giving it scritches.

Though this one is growing on me, she said, growing more inclined as time went on.

Altair was here as King, and he would appear as such. Those four, pronounced horns were visible above the crowds, several of them whispering or stepping aside. It wasn’t difficult to put two and two together on who this was - This was the Demon King of Mustafar, the Butcher of Agamar, the Daimyo of Klatooine. He had countless titles, both royal and terrifying. Those horns were unmistakable, and he wore that devil title like a badge of honor.

He was unapologetic and shamelessly confident as he strode into the hall, clad in a white suite with gold trimmings to contrast his charcoal black skin. His hair was perfectly styled and for a rare moment, he looked the part of a King. His ears were dotted with gold piercings. Next to Altair was a deadly, black Charhound with a golden collar. The hound looked just as demonic as he did, walking directly alongside him as he walked through the parted crowds.

They knew he was Sith. They knew what he did. And they would do nothing about it, not in the Corporate Sector. Altair saw some familiar faces, though he didn’t stop to greet anyone just yet, his eyes especially lingering on Timat (@GABA)in her dress. The tiefling spotted Nor’baal the Hutt (@Nor'baal ), making a mental note to make introductions later. His gaze briefly flicked to the woman (@LadyRen ) he was speaking to, his amethyst gaze shamelessly flicking down and then up to take in sight of her before a smirk played on his lips. But his attention soon drifted away towards the bar.

Altair was here to buy a few animals to present as gifts to the Queen of a neighboring planet. As King, he had to play a lot of political games, and expensive animals often were the best ways to a rich woman’s heart. His charhound made people nervous, but he seemed unbothered, stopping by to get himself a drink before he walked to inspect the stables.

The woman swore Jayna and even her twin brother would grow a foot in between seeing them. Her niece towering over her as she embraced her tightly, their visits seeming more sparse as the twins developed various interests. Tiamat instinctively brushed a few fly-away hairs from Jayna's face before her attention turned back to the Talbuk. She watched the creature trot around the stable, its playfulness showing its youth.

"I would like to, though that would mean building a stable, and finding others to care for him while I'm away, making sure there is enough pasture." the woman listed off the steps she would need to take just to attend to one of these creatures, "Besides, I get the feeling if I have one, then soon I will have thirty. Just how these things go." she said turning her head as she felt a familiar presence. Not seeing anyone right away, she turned her attention back to Jayna but then there were bidding patrons passing by, whispering about the Demon Prince. She glanced at Jayna to see if she heard too and Tiamat turned around, certainly now seeing the dark horns of the Eiattu King (@Sreeya) make his way through the crowd.

Tiamat didn't realize she was grinning as she watched him in his sharp white suit and ornate jewelry, it was very much like him to dress at such, and he seemed to fit the persona of King really well. "He looks...amazing, doesn't he?" she gently nudged Jayna with her elbow.

Gunner listened to Arla's question, and he wasn't sure how to respond. He acted quickly though, sticking to his instincts. "Well I was thinking about it for a moment, but I may have only wanted an excuse to talk to you." Gunner smiled as he held his hand out and greeted himself, "Name's Gunner. And you are?" After introduction the Slussi, or Snake Man for clarity had spoken up about the animals. Seemed like a lot of work to know so much about the animals.. and for him to ssspeak.

Gunner had noticed some other faces around as well, Ms. Thorne and the King Altair and the big slug himself. All would be great to talk to for a little while, but one was a stuck up rich kid, one a demon, and the other doesn't speak basic. At least here he got the best of both worlds. He hadn't known the past of Arla or who she was but from the tattoos, perhaps a Dathomirian.

As the animals would be bought and sold, he would make sure to check on the placement of his crewmen. Making sure they wouldn't run off or something. Some of them definitely had a short attention span but when on mission they stuck true. A waiter walked by and the Nautolan grabbed a nice drink off the tray for both himself and Arla, and hand one to her looking to make a good impression. Building connections was key in this galaxy.
"For you, if you want it."
