Discovery Exploration Corps Space Station
Jakku System

The DECS Pathfinder was docked on the space station, orbiting the furthest planet in the system. Captain Priam was in the science cruiser's CIC, wearing a white and blue uniform. Right now he is going through a terminal as the crews are putting the finishing touches on making sure the Pathfinder is ready to go. Lance is making sure they have everything and then some, the Pathfinder's cargo bays will be stocked with food, drinks, fuel, various make/models of probe droids and other essentials as well as ground vehicles. It's hangar bay stocked with air craft. Crewmen would be at their stations working diligently. Lance is feeling uneasy knowing that before too long he along with the ship are going into the Unknown Regions.

The expedition the Pathfinder is about to take is risky. there is a very real possibility that once they jump to lightspeed they may not return. This is an all volunteer expedition, no one, no Corpsmen are in the ship against their well. But there is also a like-wise possibility the expedition will yield good fruit. There's bound to be new species the galaxy has yet to see, exotic planets to see, technology they have never seen, wonders to behold. The possibilities are infinite..

There are a lot of skilled hands on the ship. Scientists and engineers both of various fields and capable crewmen. To further ensure the expedition's success, they also hired outside contractors. Trained security/response personnel were also another thing something the Corps spared no expense on, in addition to Mandalorians, they even enlisted a whole company for that as well.

This placement of this space station in the far reaches of the Jakku system isn't a coincidence. It's all about location. Due to Jakku's location, it very closely borders unknown space, making it more or less a gateway into the Unknown Regions.

Everyone should be on the ship already, but there might be some new arrivals yet to come. Almost all the preflight checks are done, once they are done then they can set off. It's almost time to go into the Unknown.

"fenn" was excited, how could he not be?.. A chance to earn glory for the sith order by finding new potential places to expand to?.. how could he pass this up, he tightens his gauntlet, familiarising himself with the ships armory, and the fellow mandalorians he had been formed up with in a company, stepping into the area the rest of his ilk were, speaking in mando'a

"Su cuy'gar"
A friendly greeting, these were going to be his comrades, and he wanted to get off on the right foot with them, regardless of clan or house affiliation.

Rath had been looking over his armor which had recently been freshly painted and repaired. He had just finished making sure his weapon systems. He was beginning to see if weapons were up to par when the mandalorian walked in. Looking up from his work he returns the greeting.
"Su cuy'gar"
After this he continued on seeming to zone out while doing so.

Arla had no idea what they would find in the Outer Rim, but it seemed like a good contract. Exploration? Check. Good paycheck? Check. Good publicity for Apex? Check. Opportunity to exercise her skills? Check.

What wasn't to like? Nakoa had accompanied as well as several of the Kaleesh hunters and warriors, which would provide additional security. She saw Mandalorians and other contractors wandering through the ship, which was interesting. She had heard a lot about Mandalorians and their culture, but she hadn't had much actual interaction with them.

A glance at her chrono told her that the ship should be launching soon, and she spent those last few minutes hunting down Nakoa.

Everything stowed away? Gol Shokko's men are already geared up, she said to him. Gol had taken on the role of team leader among the Kaleesh, which took some of the pressure off of Nakoa and Arla to better facilitate them focusing on the actual task. For her own part, she had brought a wide mix of gear and weaponry to address whatever they might find.

Relan had stowed his belongings in the quarters off of the Med Bay, completing all last-minute pre-flight checks that were required of him.

He then made his way to the main public observation deck to watch the launch. Watching the space station outside, the planet spinning below, he was reminded about how far he had already come from his home on Coruscant. He felt almost giddy with excitement to see all of the things they would see. Sure, there would be a danger, but the Captain had spared no expense on security personnel.

There would certainly be a time when his skills as a healer would be needed, but hopefully not for some time. For now, he stood in from the clear viewport, marveling at the sights.

Thalis Kryze moved through the bustling galley of the DECS Pathfinder, a symphony of metallic clanging, sizzling heat and the polyphonic hum of functioning droids blending into a familiar score that buoyed his spirits. The delicious and heady aromas of countless meals under preparation wafted through the air, wrapping the space in an intoxicating, tantalizing embrace. He loved this world within worlds - the galley - it was his sanctuary, a vessel of creation amidst the boundless cosmic wilderness.

The mission was fraught with uncertainties, it was true. An expedition into the Unknown Regions was both exhilarating and unnerving. Yet, he had volunteered, stepping into the unknown with the hope of igniting his imagination with novel culinary wonders. This voyage was his opportunity to broaden his palate, and to bring new taste experiences to the rest of the galaxy. He was on a quest to seek out uncharted flavors, alien spices, exotic plants and strange animals, hidden amongst the stars, waiting to be discovered, tasted and transformed into gastronomical marvels.

Thalis was no stranger to challenges. His journey to becoming a chef had been marked by obstacles and hurdles. Yet, he had faced each one with stoic resilience, driven by an unwavering passion and an insatiable curiosity for the culinary arts. He had honed his skills in the hallowed kitchens of Corellia, pushing the boundaries of traditional culinary arts, eager to explore the limitless possibilities.

Dressed in his crisp, white chef's uniform, he began his meticulous rounds, examining the various food supplies. He observed the fresh vegetables from Naboo, the specially cured meats from Chandrila, the various dehydrated grains and legumes from New Alderaan. His fingertips brushed the cold steel counters, the icy sensation a grounding anchor amidst the bustling activity. His gaze swept over his vast collection of cookware, gleaming in the muted lighting. Everything was in its place, the galley primed for a gastronomical adventure.

There was a certain unease that gnawed at him. The Pathfinder was a ship full of scientists, warriors, explorers, all of them leaving the familiar behind for the uncharted wilds of the Unknown Regions. As the chef, he felt a profound responsibility. His role was not only to feed their bodies but also their spirits. He had to provide comfort through his creations, a taste of home in the midst of alien surroundings.

But Thalis was not one to back down from a challenge. He felt a thrill of anticipation at the thought of what awaited them. The fear was there, yes, but so was the excitement, the promise of discovery. As he looked around the galley, he felt ready. This was his realm, his domain. And he would use it to bring comfort, joy and a sense of familiarity to those aboard the Pathfinder, as they journeyed together into the great unknown.

It was uncommon for an Annfyn to even explore the known galaxy, so one deciding to explore the unknown was even more bizarre. The young academy student believed this voyage would aid her studies and possibly help her with her inventions.

Aelah was cooped up inside her personal room unpacking the many suitcases she brought along. She had multiple outfits for almost every occasion. An older feminine voice spoke out through her phone "oatidygtnt'no nse!'uugislohre, ogus oob d". Aelah paused to pick up the phone and respond "e,iiy fn lleftaht.aeihehtdr eveib i peltthdmq eeraris uy oehouek'ue tse tcs"

"ua ol obl wlau n,!boc ua a mcannhrson ooef gtuw . ingo yvoieky tleohoo p v''l'ereal" Not wanting to be bogged down from her mother's nagging any further, Aelah hung up and continued unpacking her things.

Alberich Wotan was an entrepreneur throughout his life. A thief, a pirate, a thug, a guard, an enforcer, but most of all he was good with his hands. Murder and violence and combat, anyone can do anything like that. But fixing things was more special. Not just patching them up. Wotan could work on anything. From armor to specialized tools to ships to weapons, it waa his domain of expertise. If it had a fuel cell or required mechanical motion he could work on it rather well. He knew he had a skill with it and that's what most crews has payed him for. Alberich wasn't the best at it, nor the fastest, but he certainly good with his tools.

But that's not what led him to this voyage. He was tired of his life of crime. Alberich wanted to, for once, actually be on the right side of the law. He wanted to do a legal job. He wanted to finally be a respected citizen. And when he heard the news that a scientific expedition from Jakku needed a technical officer he was on board. He had done little work on scientific equipment before but they couldn't be too hard. Right?

His short and somewhat well built frame moved towards the docking site with little more than what he had in a small dufflebag and what he had on his person. He sold his ship for credits to buy better quality tools and a new blaster pistol and didn't look back. He had slung the bag over his shoulder as his other hand rested under the sidearm he always carried on hand. His collars softly swayed in the breeze, with the overhead light shining off his well polished helmet. The gleaming red visor cut deep into those who would be looked at, as if he was judging them or in a permanently bad mood. He wasn't a happy person, that was for sure, but Alberich told himself on this voyage he would try and reinvent himself.

He approached the captain slowly, his first task being examining the ship and it's equipment. The ship certainly was not a looker. The model itself looked like it was shipped from the factory pre-stripped and cannibalized. Yet it was not such a bad design. The vessel was rather notable for being a rather good scientific ship with quite a lot of room for whatever experiment or project wouls be required on the trip. The equipment was not quite top of the line but it was rather high quality. His hands moved over to his bag to feel the tools inside. They certainly were not as high quality as these were. It made him feel a bit embarrassed. Maybe he should have sprung for the higher quality materials instead of that blaster...

"Captain, Alberich Wotan. I believe I was to be signed up as one of the technical officers. I am excited to work along side you." Even for a being speaking Ubese his voice was particularly scratchy and dry. From his posture to his voice it seemed he was a no-nothing alien who was here to work first and to make friends second. Yet that was not his entire goal, it's just the person Alberich made himself into over the years. One had to when working with bounty hunters and pirates alike. Here, he wished to break that mold and finally make some friends who he could actually keep after this job. His somewhat short frame moved away from his captain after hearing any comments his superior had to say, moving towards where he thought his cabin was inside the ship.

"Glad to have you aboard" the good captain said to the Ubese (@Olwin). It was strange yet interesting to see an Ubese onboard as part of the crew. If Captain Priam had to be be frank, he would says he has a great crew. From a top class chef and medical officer. The security/response team is the best money will get. Although there are some ex-military employed among the Discovery Corps, most of their in-house security are civilians with civilian-level tactical training so having actual highly trained private military organization in Apex and Mandalorians - who are a warrior culture known for the powerless - would be a big boon to the expedition.

That's it, Lance got word that they are a good. Good. Lance would then patch in to everyone onboard he would stand up, one speech before they depart.

"Attention everyone, this is your Captain speaking. Soon we will depart from the Known Galaxy into the Unknown Regions. We will be exploring the unexplored and uncharted, where no one has been before. We do not know what is on the other side. Everyone will need to be at the finest and be prepared for what comes our way. We have great people aboard and I have the utmost confidence in our abilities to carry out of mission and be able to come back home." A brief pause. "Now then, the hyperdrive is primed. Now lets see what's out there, shall we?"

With that, the speech is over and the Captain would take his seat. The docking clamp would then release the Pathfinder and in turn the Pathfinder would accelerate forward and turn to face the galactic west. Eventually, everyone would be able to see swirls of blue and white as the ship would eventually zip into hyperspace.

loop-warp.gif

The hyperspace journey was going fine, it would be a long while before they reach their destination...

Until the ship was suddenly stopped in the middle of the journey. The Captain was taken aback as he was assured the course they plotted should be safe, that there weren't any black holes, gravity wells, or anything else in the way. "Captain, we've been pulled out of hyperspace" the helmsman said. Priam would stand up and look to see what may have done that, checking through the observation views and on the sensors readouts.

Then everyone would be able to feel ship getting turbulence. And then the ship would find itself being beset by a swarm of strange creatures. The bridge would able to catch glimpse of them. They would be latching to the of the dorsal side near the center and then be spewing acid on the hull. Alarm klaxons would then be going off. Shields couldn't stop them and they would manage to get inside. The top turret would intercept some of them, but some have breeched the hull and started going inside.

"Security team. (@Phoenix @theaveragejedishadow @Javier esschoolbus) Hull breech in the cargo hold. Hostile spaceborne aliens have made their way inside. Take care of them." The Captain asked overhead.

If needed, the security team can get magnetic boots, rebreathers, filters .etc to fight in a compartment with air escaping via the hull breech. A lot of the creatures are pouring in and are starting to reek havoc. The Pathfinder's own crewmen are also mobilizing to assist but it's going to be difficult to be able to contain the threat without Apex or the Mandalorians assistance.

Lance would shrug and take a deep breath. It will be fine, he trusts in the crew. Although Lance was hoping that they would get a bit further before they ran into any danger. They have reached the Unknown Regions even if it's not exactly where they are charted and already they are feeling the danger.

Fenn took out his duel slug throwers, time to rock and roll already?.. alrighty..

"FEH! time to earn our pay lads and some new trophies."

He gave a shout to the other Mandalorians about, and proceeded to tactically make a push down to the location of the disturbance, giving a happy go lucky war cry and a Leroy Jenkins.

Exploring the galaxy was a good part of what Nakoa did for fun. It was only natural for him to sign up, particularly if he was representing Arla's up-and-coming company. The Nightsister would find him in what was to be his workspace arranging things and reviewing the ship layout and specs on a datapad. His 'equipment' was an odd mix of Tethysian oddities, research devices, reference materials, a small aquatic terrarium from Wrea, and- well, weaponry and gear.

Nakoa wasn't here explicitly as security, aboard more as a scholarly scout, but he was perfectly capable. Just as Arla walked in a droid was stowing a lock box in a compact shelf. "All set," he replied while standing from his workbench. "Heavy security for a research craft." Mandalorians and Kaleesh mercs was quite a bit of gun for a science vessel. But hey, it wasn't Nakoa's money.

He and Arla were in the middle of a conversation about Wrean shallow water ecology spurred by the terrarium when the ship was pulled from hyperspace and the security announcement went out accompanied by the ship shaking through chop. "Maybe not." He rose his left wrist, on which he wore a small bracer that served various functions including chrono and commlink, to address Gol Shokko.

"Take one alive if possible," Nakoa requested. If they were going to get attacked by something they may as well examine it. He knew nothing about this group of 'Mandalorians', but he had confidence in the Kaleesh and didn't seem concerned or feel the need to involve himself directly. He still put on his breath mask and blaster holster and headed toward the cargo hold out of curiosity, though.

After several seasons of retirement on Takadona, Gett'se Vizsla had come to a singular conclusions. While it was a peaceful life, the life of a farmer was... rather boring. The upcoming expedition of the DECS Pathfinder had come to his attention and after some deliberation he had decided that it might be just the kind of adventure he needed. The fantasy of exploring the great Unknown Regions was the biggest allure of course.

Gett'se had brought with him a veritable armory of weapons and equipment, gear for his armor and other things he found necessary for such a lengthy expedition. He had settled in, filling out his bunk room with most of his gear before the expedition started, adding an extra layer of security to the rooms lock. Various things an aging paranoid Mandalorian might do when traveling on a ship full of people he did not know or trust.

The captains speech rang over the intercom and Gett'se paused cleaning his rifle in his room to listen. The man spoke of exploring the unexplored, charting the uncharted. Knowing the unknown. That was the whole point of this expedition after all. With that, the hyperdrive was engaged and Gett'se stomach lurched with it. Partially from the action of entering hyperspace, partly from the anxiety of the quest they had just set upon. For all he know this could be his last adventure. He looked over his life, his triumphs, his losses and tragedies. The farm he had left back on Takadona. He smiled before returning to his rifle.

------

Gett'se got out of his bunk as the ship lurched out of hyperspace. That seemed unusual. He grabbed his helmet and placed it over his head as the captain's voice came over the intercom, ordering security personnel to the cargo bay and mentioning hostile space-borne creatures. It seemed things were getting off to an exciting start.

Grabbing his gear, he rushed out of the room and towards the cargo bay. The lightsaber he wore on his left hip bobbed gently as he jogged through the corridors past rushing crewmen and other security personnel. His Westar-C93 was holstered on the right in a grip forwards position and he carried his Galaar-35 in hand, the rifle secured to a sling over his shoulder. His beskad rode his left shoulder where it could easily be drawn with either hand, and a vibroblade was secured in it's sheath over his right breast.

The Mandalorian reached an intersection where he joined up with some of the other security personnel, a few other Mandalorians among them. He had seen the others during the various preparations, but had yet to make himself known to them. It didn't matter. There was a fight ahead and this was what he was here to do, and getting paid to do it.

Arla paused as the captain made his speech. She honestly had no idea what to expect out of this, but she was confident in herself and the others here that they would figure things out. It was a sharpening opportunity if nothing else, and if she didn't have what it took to survive, then she didn't deserve to. At least... if it was actually her choice. If they hyperjumped through a star, she would be unhappy.

They leapt into hyperspace and into the unknown and she conversed with Nakoa as the time passed. All at once, they were pulled out of their hurtles through space and Arla was nearly throw from her feet, only narrowly keeping herself upright.

Nakoa had already given the Kaleesh the order to head down and contain the creatures, but Arla wasn't convinced they wouldn't need backup. Granted, the Mandalorians were heading that way as well.

I'm going to go get into my flight suit. Just in case, she said. She had no idea what was going to happen, but she was getting the impression she'd rather be ready than sorry.

She started heading back to her quarters, expecting him to follow where she started to simply strip down to her undergarments and slip into the undersuit, unperturbed by the fact that he was - potentially - still there.

You don't feel like going down and making trouble directly? she asked.

Meanwhile, six of the Kaleesh would have made it down to the area below, looking to bring down the aliens and... well, they may or may not be the best at the "capture alive" part of things.

When she'd heard of this new company — this Discovery Exploration Corps — that was looking for volunteers to join them on their first expedition into the Unknown Regions, Ora may have been just a tad too quick to sign up. It was a risky endeavor, there was no doubt about it, but the idea of venturing out into the unknown and discovering new worlds, peoples, and maybe even technologies was much too tempting to ignore. It was for that very reason that the young Nautolan had thrown her name into the pool and showed up when the expedition was officialized.

On her person was her WESTAR pistol and a vibroblade, but most of what the Nautolan had brought — minus essentials like changes of clothes — were tools and technology. She'd had an idea before she'd arrived; wouldn't it be useful to have a scout to scope out any alien lands that was made of metal rather than flesh and bone? Ora could never give up the chance to design a new droid, so the Nautolan had brought along a protoype oranimal that she had spent most of her time on board thus far tinkering with.

"Oh shit, I think I'm missing a par- " Ora stood up to go look for something to use when the ship went from hurtling through hyperspace to floating through regular space. For maybe the umpteenth time in her life, the unlucky and clumsy Nautolan was sent hurtling toward the nearest wall thanks to the sudden chance in speed. Even more unluckily, she managed to stub her toe in the midst of it, causing her to let out a string of pained curses as she brought her knee up to her chest to hop around while holding her foot. "Ow! Shit! Ow! Fuck!"

The security sirens going off across the ship essentially drowned out her voice, but they didn't stop her from hearing the captain's voice over the intercom. 'Wait, what breached the hull?' The Natuolan's eyes widened and she quickly went to retrieve her pistol from her bag not far away. Ora's combat skills were... lacking, generally speaking, but she at least knew how to point and shoot a gun. The Nautolan would be avoiding combat though, if at all possible, but she was curious to see what was going on.

"Stay here," she commanded of the droid (that was unable to move or hear her anyways) and quickly made her way toward the bridge of the ship. Ora was with the DECS Pathfinder as an engineer, not a marksman or anything close to a fighter. So she felt no need to go join the fray.

"Captain? What's going on?" she would ask just before her crimson eyes caught sight of the numerous, space-faring jellyfish-like creatures. "Oh- Eek!" That was unexpected, and if she would have had hair on her skin, it surely would've stood straight up. "Is there anything I can- anything I can do to assist?"

She wasn't sure if there was, but she'd offer regardless.

A seismic lurch, like the clanging of a monstrous gong, reverberated throughout the vessel, rattling the veritable symphony of sizzling sounds, the harmonious hisses, and percussive taps resonating from the kitchen. Thalis Kryze, engrossed in his culinarian orchestra, was jolted out of his culinary reverie.

The DECS Pathfinder had become his home, a home that was disturbingly trembling. His outstretched hand, holding a pinch of Nerf steak seasoning, froze mid-air as his vibrant eyes darted towards the swaying pots and pans. The scintillating aroma of braising Nerf steak, intermingled with the earthy fragrance of Alderaanian herbs, became an incongruous accompaniment to the ship's apparent distress.

As the captain's voice echoed through the vessel, divulging the harrowing news of a hull breach and hostile creatures, Thalis's heart pounded in his chest. This was supposed to be a journey of culinary exploration, not a galactic fight club. The comforting cocoon of the kitchen was threatened, his latest concoction left unattended on the stove.

"A kriffing hull breach, really?" he muttered under his breath, moving to turn off the heat on his carefully tended stew. "Right in the middle of deglazing. Perfect. Just perfect." The enticing aroma of caramelized nerfsteak drippings meeting a splash of Alderaanian wine was now a forgotten sonnet.

Surrendering to the exigency, Thalis reached for the heaviest tool at his disposal – his trusted, durasteel frying pan. While it had always been a versatile instrument in his culinary adventures, he’d never imagined wielding it as a weapon in combat. Yet there he was, ready to bash heads if it came to that.

However, a gleam of curiosity sparkled in his eyes when he heard mention of the trespassers. A swarm of space-faring jellyfish-like creatures, perhaps? Thalis, ever the adventurous gourmet, couldn't help but imagine the gastronomic possibilities. In all the chaos, his mind concocted visions of celestial jellyfish medley, perhaps pan-seared in nerf butter or gently braised in a rich togruta sauce. The tantalizing potential made his mouth water.

Unfazed by the absurdity of his own request in the midst of an imminent threat, Thalis pressed the intercom, his voice echoing through the ship.

"This is Chief Culinary Officer Kryze," he announced with a hint of trepidation, "Would it be... erm... entirely out of the question for someone to capture one of these 'space jellyfish'? Alive, if possible." A pause. "Just imagine the exotic flavor profile, the texture, the poten-" he added before being suddenly cut off.

In a ship teetering on the brink of a fight against unknown creatures, Thalis Kryze, a culinary maestro, was thinking about how they might taste. Well, it was always said that one should remain true to oneself, even in the face of adversity. And Thalis, undeniably, was doing just that.

Relan watched as the ship departed their space station and then jumped towards the unknown. He marveled at the streaks of light in hyperspace before retiring to the Medbay.

He set to work, unpacking and making sure everything was set up to receive patients. Things were just in order when the ship lurched, being pulled from Hyperspace. Items were thrown everywhere as alarms started to sound.

"Is everyone alright?" he asked, helping one of the other medical staff up. They hadn't suffered any significant damage. As the Captain called for security to respond to a hull breach, Relan kicked into gear. "We need to get everything set back up; we need to be ready to receive patients five minutes ago." he ordered

Relan's first instinct was to run to the affected area, but with a hull breach, it would be incredibly dangerous to do so. No, his place was here until they were ordered to respond.

"I had no idea we were going to be this busy." he mumbled to himself.

Fenn was the first one on the scene, his lust for excitement driving him forward, he took aim firing a slug right into one of the borders, if the chef wanted food specimens, he would need to get it himself, he was here for trophies, he would be damned if a kryze would order a reaver around! yes, his tribe was small, barely even a clan, but they had always maintained a fierce independent spirit, ever since the fall of the first empire, his clan had something to prove, they had only just recently reclaimed their honor after being sworn as dar'manda for assisting the desolation of mandalore along with the infamous clan saxon, he would be damned if jellyfish would be an issue for him! he fired his other slug thrower at another jellyfish, piercing it, his totally legal, and not "borrowed" slug throwers were like submachine guns due to how fast he was firing those babies, spray and pray, just the way he liked slugs. He fell back to let the throwers cool down, their one side effect, overheating was a pain, that, and how useless they could be in some circumstances.

Sarella couldn’t deny some inherent excitement for the expedition. Exploration of the Galaxy was something the Fallanassi did of her own accord - and coupled with working closely with Apex, it didn’t take much to convince her to join the Pathfinder Ship into the Unknown Regions. Despite all the risks associated, the promise of knowledge and discovery was simply too tempting for her to ignore.

The Fallanassi was dressed in traditional attire - donned in a pair of embroidered robes with metallic bangles on her wrists. Handwoven beads and symbols were tied around her neck and woven into the sash tied around her waist. She kept a pair of Kyzuo Petar’s tucked at her hip, hinting at her preferred style of combat. Though she’d packed a flight suit for the expedition, the Fallanassi had no intention of wearing it until necessary.

She spent most of the expedition close to the rest of the Apex group - though largely consumed by the reading material she’d brought along with her. It wasn’t until their ship abruptly lurched out of hyperspace that the Fallanassi sprang to her feet, catching just a glimpse of the creatures responsible. Her eyes narrowed at once, cerulean gaze flicking over to her companions.

“Looks like we’re up..” She muttered to herself. The Fallanassi promptly followed the group of Kaleesh that made their way down to the area - snagging up the necessary equipment on the way. Though she hadn’t pulled the Petar’s from her waist, her hands hovered close to the weapons just in case things devolved further.

He had just leaned back into his bunk as he heard the alarms blare. He quickly rose from his bed and went over to his equipment, sliding his helmet on before attaching a rebreather unit to his belt and screwing the breathing tube into his helmet. He didn't even get his holster belt on before running out to confront the problem, instead pulling the pistol out of the holster and simply bolting. He would make sure the blaster would be set to stun just in case it was a false alarm or something that should be kept alive.

His trip was short, but he was quickly approaching the cargo hold before he heard it: the groaning and moaning of the hull as the acid was burning it. Some of them even began to get through which allowed Alberich to see they were basically giant jellyfish. He raised his pistol with both hands and kneeled, his visor dead set on the being trying to enter the room. Under his helmet one eye of his was closed, the other aiming down the red dot sight right into the cap of the beast. His finger squeezed the trigger once before he even knew it.

The first bolt was dead on, if it were a humanoid it would have been right in the middle of its forehead. The floating being was sorrounded by the blue rings of the stun shot for a brief second before its nervous system was assaulted. Then again, it was mostly all nervous system so that should have been a forgone conclusion it would really bring them pain. It took mere moments for the creature to be overwhelmed as it dropped to the floor. It was clear that he needed to tell the rest of the crew this discovery, so the Ubese slid into cover and tapped his finger against the comm link's activation rume on the side of his helmet.

"Aim for the caps and set for stun," the Ubese barked out to those over the intercom, pausing but a moment to speak those short words across the airwaves. He then turned back around and leveled his pistol back at the would-be intruders. He waited not for a decent snap shot, or to scare them off, but he waited for a good shot to rend the alien jellyfish with pain.

Roll 1d20 = 20!
For how stun setting would work on the jellies
